(This list was made to be friendly to all players. If you have some Premium/Freemium Characters that you feel you could replace them with, feel free to.)

FYI… If you did NOT complete a task from the prior day, it rolls over to be the FIRST task of the next day. You will lose the higher payout. So finish them BEFORE the reset or you will have it become the next day’s task.

I didn’t realize the opera space can go on the Squidport, looks much better there.
Do I have to complete the Krusty costume quest during the event or can it be done afterwards?
You can wait on it. I don’t know how long after it will hang around, but you can wait.
Hmm, I think this is the first time I’ve matched the first three tasks’ times (I’ve only checked ~90% of the days, though). Three more hours before I’ll know if the last one matches too, but it’s only been the first two daily tasks that haven’t been matching.
Maybe this is a stupid question, but is it a good tactic to send everybody out on theatre mask tasks, and then if it turns out I need one for a daily task, store them in inventory and take them out again? I don’t have all the characters that are recommended to keep available for every category so I’m always so confused as to who should be doing what when, and I feel like playing it safe is making me lose out on masks.
If you want to check the complete lists (link to the main Cecil post is in this one) you can see who instead will be better suited for you to leave free. These are just ones I use. You can customize it to who YOU have unlocked in your game. My list was more to help players on even lower levels. There are still a LOT of other good combos of 4-5 to leave free to take care of Cecil tasks. 😉
Oh, duh, I really should have thought to do that. I think I’m going to need a spreadsheet!
Personally, I realized that, for my gameplay at least, it made much more sense to send everyone on tasks and then free them up if needed, than to hold anyone out on the off-chance that they *might* be needed. Really wish I had chosen that method from the beginning…I think I missed out on getting a fair amount of event currency holding out characters unnecessarily (even though it seemed like a great idea at the time).
P.S. The one exception to my advice would be if you’re at a low enough level that you can’t afford to lose money by resetting a building’s money-earning “clock” when you store it.
At least thats what Im always doing. I keep everyone busy and if I need someome for a task I store the building he came with to get him out.

I just want to say – the advice you guys gave for this event (upgrade first, then craft) really paid off for me. I just got the Farmer’s Market and am a day away from getting the Gas Station. At the beginning of the event I was stressing and concentrating on getting the crafting items. But by upgrading first I was able to increase the payouts and now it looks like I will get all the crafted items I want before the end of the event. Kudos!

I used the other piece of advice regarding ‘holding back on upgrades if you are close’ for the gas station. I was finally able to start crafting it at the same time I the ability to upgrade the opera stage with the ticket booth included. I figured that ticketmaster could wait! Stoopid admin fees!!! In fact, as I’ve placed the stage outside, without walls. C’mon, it’s not like patrons can just take any available seat they want! Who says that they need to pay to watch. They could even go into the neighbouring condos and watch from there for free!!!
(… sry a bit of a rant).
Where was I? Oh yeah, Gas and Gulp is mere hours from completing its build, and I just recouped the necessary DNA strands to upgrade the stage and place the ticket booth.
On a side note, I think that the ticket wicket thingy would be a great building to provide a permanent two hour task for ‘Old Man Peterson’.
I have decided not pick up the Aztec Theatre, so (in my case) Jeremy’s tasks jump from 1 to 8 hours, with nothing in between.

This is what I got too…weird how some days my task lengths match and other days they don’t.
Ahhh…crap….my tasks usually matches with the post but today my last task is 4hrs instead of 1hr which means the vompletion timr will exceed the time left for todays cecil’s tasks….this sucks cuz i thought i would be able finish todays jobs but now i won’t 🙁
My first task was covered by yesterday’s last task. (I started the last task at 6:06pm 🙁 ). And for the first time after messing up I still match your times. I’ve had a 2 and 6 so hopefully my last task will be a 1 hour.
A bunch of buildings in my game just activated, even though no one is using them – for once a glitch I can live with 🙂
At previous events there were a “women” group? if yes, any ideia why there isn’t any more?

I think this is the first time all my tasks have matched. Although typically, it’s only the first one that differs, so I can still count on this to let me know what to expect for the day. I admit when I went to bed at 1 am and still no Cecil’s task post, I wondered what was up (other than me).

Most of the tasks I get average 16 hours through out the day 🙁 I would love an easy day where I don’t have to worry about not timing something and thus not finishing the tasks
I feel rather unlucky as the 1 or 2-hour tasks are very rare in my game. Today mine was 6-4-6-4 and I couldn’t finish again 🙁 Hopefully my luck is better tomorrow ~

i stored my city hall to free quimby and it disappeared… i cant start the first task since it requires the city hall to protest in… ea promised that it would return in 24h and i would get a compensation… it will slow me down, since i wouldnt be able to upgrade the opera without the rewards (which was my plan), which means that i will get less mask, since i cant open a job for another group…

Luckily I woke up early this morning and was able to kick off the first task – due to work commitments later today I don’t think these would’ve been possible otherwise. I know EA are trying to make these challenging rather than easy but giving tasks with a total time of 13 hours or more is pushing things.

Did anyone get the info about Harry Shearer left the show? “voiced Otto, Mr.burn, Ned, Skinner(etc)” He said something about decided to work on another project, and wont be part of it in the new Simpsons.
Yup…it’s going around.
I am starting to get a little annoyed by these because of the clashing. eg At midnight, I sent the kooks to do a 12 hour task to get more opera masks… then had to interrupt them to pull them onto the daily task.
You only had to interrupt one of them… Only one needs to do the Cecil task. In the future, just pick one character and then store the building that they came with to feed them up and then you can send them on the Cecil task. So, for example, if you need Joe, just temporarily store his bar, then place it back in the game and he’s free to send in a different task.
Any idea where there is a nice list of characters and the buildings that need to be stored? Excel file would be great.

Thanks. Thought I had seen it somewhere, but couldn’t find it again. If you update it, pictures of the character and esp. the building would be helpful as those with compressed Springfields (easier for catching errant characters and visiting neighbours) may have to recognise the building from just the roof.

I’ve already got the 1st task underway, but it was only a 2 hour task, “Send a Entrepreneur to Taste Test GMO Foods” rather than a 4 hour task.
