As we sit here frakkin files, pulling pics, and typing a million words a minute to get our readers the latest updates and information…we find ourselves sometimes forgetting to stop and enjoy our own games. More so our neighboreenos. So we try to make it a point to hop in n out of the towns now and then to see what cool things YOU are up to. So we have decided we want to continue to focus more attention (as if we don’t already 😛 ) on YOU…our readers.
Time to time we will be peaking into your towns, checking our Flickr, and also the posts in the comments below to see what cool ideas and designs YOU have come up with to make your towns unique and…well…YOU. So here is YOUR chance to show off all your hard work, time, donuts & in game cash spent. Send us your work, no matter how big or small. Brag about it to the world. We want you to. (That and Bunny loves to see other designs and get inspiration from it.) Then keep your eyes posted to Addicts to see if YOU end up on our “SPRINGFIELD SHOWOFF”.
As we’re in the midst of the Terwilliger Act 3 and more buildings were added to the Monsarno options, we thought this week it would be fun to see what you’ve done with the additional buildings added from upgrading the Monsarno Research Center. Adding an overall look to the entire Monsarno Campus.
As it can always be a little intimidating, and frustrating, trying to figure out just where to put all this stuff…so who better to turn to than our fellow Addicts? I just love to see the creativity grow and grow. You guys have some great designs and ideas for all that stuff, so let’s take a look!
Due to the response is so overwhelming, I am trying a lil different way of putting up as many images as we can possibly smoosh on here. Lol. Just tap one to be taken to the gallery. The name of the creator will be listed at bottom of each pic there.
Really impressed with all the designs. Even mixing in some 2D and 3D art (you know I love that stuff)!!!

I love the one using training walls! It never occurred to me that they are the same colour as the Monsarno buildings. Some great ideas here 🙂

But I liked lots of others too.

So many great designs. Mine is currently linear, but I think I have to steal some from the ideas and springfields presented!
How can I screenshot on TSTO game? I wish I could’ve showed off my design because I felt really pleased with how it turned out but I’m frustrated because I couldn’t screenshot it! I have an LG Optimus and I know to screenshot by pressing power and down volume button at the same time but when I’m in the app it never works. I have another screen capturing option on my phone called Quick Memo where I can crop a portion of my screen and save it, but when I tried that in the game a message pops up “cannot capture screen, please try again later”. I feel like my phone hates the game or something and I don’t know what to do because I really want to share my town…

Love all the designs! So cool! This is such a fun little game. My husband is falling asleep & I am telling him (in my deepest Southern accent), “I’m sending that little green alien to audition for the opera.” He says sleepily, “What does she play…the cello?”

I love the way a few people used the boardwalk benches between hedges. I’m def going to use that somewhere. 😉 This show off was fun to design for AND fun to flip through. Thanks.
I noticed the benches/hedges as well. I love seeing clever ideas that I never would have thought of myself.
Some of these towns made my town pic look a bit shabby in comparison.
Another really cool thing that stuck out to me was Daniel’s use of walls (I think concrete and rock walls) to make the opera look like a building.
I have to say, tapebelt is definitely one of my favorite designers. The 3d aspect of his/her town is always super cool and creative with each show-off pic posting. I love seeing tapebelt’s work. So tapebelt, please keep posting your pics so I can bite off your ideas. 😜

Wow – I think this was my favorite show-off, ever! It was fascinating to see how everyone took the same five buildings and did such different and interesting/cool/beautiful/original/clever, etc. things with them. The vast majority of them were better, our WAY better than mine, but I didn’t feel too *too* bad, lol! 😉
