FYI… If you did NOT complete a task from the prior day, it rolls over to be the FIRST task of the next day. You will lose the higher payout. So finish them BEFORE the reset or you will have it become the next day’s task.

My Cecil tasks today were 4, 2, 4 and 6.
I should have Dame Under dunk in a couple hours. It will be a grind to get all of the craftable prizes before the event ends.
I’m putting the Houseboat first, then the Homer Decoy. After that will be the Welcome Bob Sign. I’ll craft as many sections of Cane Field as possible before the event ends, and Cactus/Desert also, but I’m not sure if I’ll even be able to get one of both of them.
My biggest mistake was not upgrading the herbicide sprayer to level 15 sooner. I should have paid more attention to the TSTO uber-helpful guides to leveling up! Thanks, neighboureenos! I took the opera house up to level 10 and wish I had stopped earlier. I am still hoping to get that houseboat and maybe a cactus garden if I can get enough masks.
I can’t get the daily tasks done. If one wraps into the next day and I get some shorter ones, sometimes I’m able. I have to work and do other things, I never have 16 hrs. to do anything. Seems like people are having success, but I am voting for an easier time as I will be leaving a lot of rewards on the table when this event ends and I am playing 3-4 times/day.
Just wondering, has it been established whether Cecil becomes a regular character after this event?
He should become one. One one will know for sure until the event ends
Hello! My daily tasks were 6-2-2-6 (just over 4 hrs left to complete) I’m only able to finish my daily task because I’m convalescing after knee surgery. I’m usually awake at odd hours of the night to take pain meds so I’m able to play some before my meds kick in. Had it not been for that, I would be in the same boat as others and not able to finish the longer daily tasks. My clones are not dropping seeds very often so I’ve used donuts, I like to spread mine around to all my neighbors that have also dropped in my town.

I KNOW that everyone’s saying this event will end in 8days or so, but…
I just got Dame Underdunk😀. And the message on the prize screen stated to stay tuned for more prizes later.
I’m assuming that EA just did a bad copy/paste job and didn’t mean to imply that there are more prizes to come.
But it would be nice! 😉

at this point i’m shooting for the houseboat and should get it soon. i also think i can get the decoy later. was able to craft gas ‘n grub, market and smokehouse but i’m gonna forgo the sign, flower wall and cactus. ~3000 away from the damn judith. i feel odd complaining about free content but this definitely has been a grinding event.
but only me don’t have built none of the most important objects? I need more time!! 🙁
More on fun long quests. Unless you decided to stay up past Midnight you are screwed.
that’s just it…impossible to do with kids they are exhausting but super fun lol!
…I would hate to let tsto get in the way of my real life and to me that means sleep! I just think EA are pushing it to the limit with this event and it should be fun. It is just a game after all? Isn’t it??!

I really hope they do extend it just for crafting as I will be upset if I don’t get those items let alone any of the other little decorations! Not sure what I am doing wrong …how can others have got it all already? I have noticed that I am not getting many jelly blobs now either which has reduced my personal fun level too. I play as much as I can and am feeling the grind big time…was loving it but now it’s almost a chore. Anyways *hugs* to all others feeling like this too and congratulations to all of you who have already got those items xx

I really want the houseboat and decoy as well, but I know I will have to choose one or the other to spend my masks on, so houseboat it is. I’m too am hoping for an extension. I’ve seen a few posts from people who have the license, and the use date extends days past the end of the event date…Fingers crossed.
In my town, Bob clones have become very stingy lately with their mutant seed drops since the last update. I have neighbors who drop numerous jelly blobs at a time and I can only reciprocate with one or two. Probably why I’m not getting as many jelly blobs around my town either. 🙁
I’m just keeping on with the daily grind and hoping for the best!

This is NOT meant to sound bad, but I am glad that there are others who still have not crafted the boat, yet. I thought I was in the minority of very active players and still a-ways away from getting the materials needed for my own Simpson’s Houseboat.
Meh. Maybe in a couple of days.
Then it’ll be a grind for the decoy.
As for the billboard, cacti & walls (…oh my!), well they won’t be missed if I can’t craft them.

Grabbed the decoy yesterday. I love it, lol. I’ll have Same Judith in the next few hours, I’m so close. And now it really looks like I’ll be able to craft everything I want. I might be able to craft 2 houseboats if they let us. Don’t remember if it was supposed to be unique. I have the Gas and Grub, Farmers Market, several cane fields, decoy, and I’ll be getting the sign along with the houseboat(s).
Soooo glad all my grinding has paid off in this last act!

The houseboat is the Simpsons’ houseboat, so, yes, its unique. (They’re not rich enough to own TWO houseboats, lol!)

I’m sad I won’t be able to get the decoy but not too bothered about the cane and cactus. On target to get houseboat, smokehouse and gas n grub (which I’ve prioritised over decoy). Already have the farmer’s market.
My A & C game both started of 6hrs. However my B game started at 4 hrs. Also has the seed count gone down? I’m only getting 3-5 per game. I have 15 friends I send seeds to daily. Also I should get Judith debunk today. Does she earn masks? I’m trying to see my best strategy. Thanks

Yesterday I didn’t even complete the 3rd of Cecil’s tasks – I’m definitely in wind-down mode now that I’ve crafted everything I want!
I’m going to have a relaxing couple of days before I go crazy chasing loads of bonuts. Time to update my mega-spreadsheet in preparation.

I’m so over this event. These daily tasks are a ridiculous waste of time and are so old at this point. Isn’t this the 3rd event they’ve used this? EA should hire some people with creativity. It’s not realistic that more than 10% of players will be able to do all 4 tasks in day when it is 16 hrs of tasks. The prizes aren’t great. If you can manage to get them. How are people not on level 45+ doing at this event? Just end already.
So far today my tasks have been 4 hrs, 2 hrs and 2 hrs.
Well, things have finally eased. The decoy is beyond reach. Tried a Monsarno wall, wish I hadn’t. Proportions do not work for me. It looks like an oversized planter box, i.e. an 8 foot tall one. So it looks out of place with the Monsarno buildings. Will have to look at the episode again and see if I can see it there. Sometimes, like with the decoy, it is supposed to look poor because that is the way it was drawn in the cartoon. Will craft one cactus patch (guess someone is going to have a cactus yard, something you can see in Texas.) and the rest is for cane fields, which look nice, and guard booths (my celebrities being tired of unannounced guests). That way I can concentrate on getting donuts as of this evening. Got loads more stuff with the Superheroes event. I may have worked just as hard then, but it didn’t feel like work because I was getting somewhere.
OK, looked again and the box is 4 foot high and as wide as a Monsarno single door. It definitely looks disproportionate beside the Monsarno complex. It is actually the exact same size as the granite wall blocks. But I did think of a good place for it, as a road block to stop cars, obviously placed on pavement since it cannot be placed on a road. It could be inserted in a granite wall as a decorative element.
So with these tasks, do we get the reward twice?
Because it we get the task reward collect box, then Cecil rewards again?
You only get 1 reward for the daily tasks.
If, by “task reward collect box” you mean the red box, those tasks are unrelated to Cecil’s daily tasks.
Probably have the same today. My first two were 6 and 2 at least… Hoping to get the house boat today or tomorrow 🙂

Think I’ll get the houseboat easily as 2000 mask short just not sure about another 5000 masks and dna for decoy is worth pushing for if just a static prop.

Woohoo! I’m pretty much done with the event. The only craftables missing are the Welcome Bob Sign, Monsarno Flower Walls and Cactus Patches, neither of which I’m paticularly interested in. Since I still have a solid influx of Fertilizer and Theater Masks I’ll take a shot at one or two Cactus Patches, I guess.
All questlines are also completed (including level 52 and the lates tie-ein), so I’m just waiting for the final questline to kick off upon reaching the final personal prize with Dame Judith Underdunk today or tomorrow.
Meanwhile I’m enjoying to take the remainder of the event with slow pace and continue building Burns’ money pile which I started yesterday.
Really enjoyed this event. Well designed, entertaining, realistic challenges, great use of previously purchased premium characters all the while having the game in a damn good and robust shape without crashes and lagging. I hope that EA continues this trend that we’ve seen for the past months.

I’ve almost got Dame JU, but have only crafted the Farmer’s Market so far, hoping to get the decoy and houseboat. Won’t be able to get the gas n grub…
But true, these events are good, when they use almost ALL the characters we accumulate and are achievable. Maybe not for new players though.
Hopefully there’s a new event in a few weeks, but we get a few weeks off!
How sad is it that I was sitting here repeatedly hitting the refresh button so I could see this post before I shut down and went to sleep? Really need to step away for a day or two once this event is over and let the obsession level come down a bit! 😉
