Where Did THAT Come From – Vesuvius Pizza

In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where Did THAT Come From?

This post I will be going over the Origin of Vesuvius Pizza. Introduced into our games with Level 52 for 55 donuts, this building adds another restaurant to our game.  But other than looking cool, what does this building have to do with The Simpsons? Let’s take a look at the TV Series to find out.

“E. Pluribus Wiggum” (S19:E10)

Like a lot of items EA finds to add into our games, they’re often quick blips in the show.  Of course, when looking for fast food restaurants, this episode is a gem.  The very beginning finds the employees of the Nuclear Plant itching to leave work but they can’t go until Burns does too and he’s taking his time.  Homer is heading home on the first day of his diet so he knows it’s “the last chance to eat all the crap he loves.”  Homer heads to Fast Food Boulevard in Springfield.  Lots of artery clogging establishments to be found here including General Chang’s Taco Italiano, Dead Lobster, We Have Restrooms!, Captain Corndog’s Schnitzel Palace, Chili Blaster, Krusty Burger and Kentucky Fried Panda.  Homer destroys the fast food district by tossing out all his trash in the car (including a car battery) into one of those clever trashcans you find in the drive thru.

Boy would I love that trash can in TSTO.  Anywho… Long story short, Homer exposed a gas main, lit a cigar and blew up all 37 restaurants with a match.

Fast Food Boulevard Simpsons

While he drives away as everything explodes, we see Vesuvius Pizza erupt.

So there’s your new premium building.  I dig that they found a cool looking new item for the game that has a cool animation.  What do you think of it?  Sound off in the comments and keep on tapping in the free world.

TTFN… Wookiee out!

  1. The Problem Child

You know, as per the trash cans, there ARE Krusty-headed trash cans, although only in Krustyland.

  2. I’ve been waiting for this event to end so that I can rebuild Springfield proper and one of the things I’m dying to do is make Fast Food Boulevard.

Of course, I had to have this the moment I saw it.

I love it. I put it on the boardwalk.

  4. The Problem Child

I’d LOVE to have Fast Food Boulevard and all its eateries.

  5. I like it but I haven’t bought it yet. I guess I’m hoping for a special sale. I will get this eventually.

  6. I bought it to go next to Dr. Collosus volcano. The animation & colors match very well. I keep lunch lady handy to keep the animation going.
