Where Did THAT Come From – Rolling Rock

In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where Did THAT Come From?

This post I will be going over the Origin of the Rolling Rock. Introduced into our games with the Terwilliger Event for 80 donuts, this decoration adds a 3.5% boost to cash and XP earning. But why is this constantly moving bouder in a parabola in our games? Does it have anything to do really with the Terwilligers? Let’s take a look at the TV Series to find out.

“Black Widower” (S3:E21)

This episode has to do with the romance of one Robert Terwilleger and Selma Bouvier. Falling in love, via the Prison Penpal system, the two do all sorts of things together… karaoke, paddleboat, get their hair done and generally frolick together. Seriously, one scene is them hand in hand frolicking in a field of flowers. We also learn Sideshow Bob gives one heck of a foot rub. You know Selma is in love when she’s actually nice at the DMV.

Sideshow Bob & Selma Marriage

The two wed despite their differences over MacGyver and honeymoon in beautiful Shelbyville at a Best Western. Among the wonders of Springfield’s sister city that can be seen from their hotel room is Rolling Rock, right next to Shelbyville Falls.

Rolling Rock

Just like the new decoration, Rolling Rock is basically a halfpipe which has a boulder that rolls back and forth on it. Another quick little blip from an episode like a lot of the items we get in our TSTO towns. Now we officially have something from Shelbyville in TSTO that has a connection to the Terwilligers. What do you think of the new item? Glad to know its origin? Buy it and wonder where the heck to place it? Sound off below and happy tapping.

TTFN… Wookiee out!

  1. We also need more land to be able to put all these new items in a neat looking town and not to have them almost stacked on ea other! For those of us who have been on this game for 1 yrs and more, we have accumulated mass amt of items and want to be able to display real nice! I’m hiding Lots of small items behind buildings etc, so I get the xp’s and extra $$ ant for having them, and not to leave in Inventory where they won’t help us after we have not them!! Thank you to EA and Bunny, Allissa and Wookie!! U r all Awesome and I loved the Twillager Event!!😃

  2. Isn’t it also a reference to tge myth of sysiphis?

  3. I put mine in my Buddhist temple garden for some perpetual motion meditation! 🙂

  4. I have one patch of desert, one patch.
I do have the anvil of the devil, mountain of skull.
Yet, even if I grouped those three together in to a corner of arid, I don’t think that this rock of rolling will make the scene any better.

…So, no particular item of premium to be purchased by me.

  5. Saw it in a neighbor’s town and it actually made me a bit motion sick, so I knew it wasn’t going in my town for sure!

Being able to see things in action before buying them is just another reason that I love having Shi many wonderful neighbors. 🙂

  6. I thought it was from one of the Springfield badlands episodes. It’s seems like it would fit in a desert area that I hope we get soon. My idea is on the opposite side of the water have Springfield gorge and beyond that have desert expansions. Some items would work better out there and would certainly help with over crowded buildings.

    • I would love to see other landscape skins besides grass and pavement and streams. I would think Springfield Gorge will be a distant future update or an event with Lance Murdock and Dare Devil Bart skin, with a crashed Ambulance on the other side (just picturing Homer screaming “D’Oh!” all the way down (Aaaw, good times) 🙂
I’m sure they can package it all up, I know there has been a number of dangerous and stunt filled items over the years. maybe Homer and the Lallapalooza Cannon. A skate(board) rink for the bullies. Boxcar derby… Ok I’m sure there is better ideas out there but again. I’m sure in time the Gorge will apear (it’s iconic).

  7. I’m actually surprised they’d add Shelbyville stuff at all since we don’t have anything else from there…..I’m still waiting for them to add the Shelbyville kids(you know the alternative versions of the Springfield kids) Or a warp zone of sorts to take us to a new land area so we can build a Shelbyville instead…..

  8. Stupid question probably, but: what will actually end tomorrow? Only the prizes? Or the crafting too? I am a bit confused…

    • I’m assuming EVERYTHING will end tomorrow…better to be safe than sorry

      • I’m surprised there isn’t a Wrap Up post yet – I have so many questions. Example: if the Cecil Task items are available at midnight and there is four hours of play until the end of this Event can I guess tomorrow’s Cecil tasks will only be an hour each? (I know I should just wait and see, debating whether to stay up or go to bed and wake very early tomorrow) aaaaaaagh!!!!

        • Lol i JUST finished writing it…give it about 3 minutes 😉

But no there ARE no tasks for tomorrow (for Cecil). Today was the last day….

      • I guess Cecil didn’t get your memo. 😁
I have just started the second* task for 5/26.

        * (I did have a roll-over of yesterday’s #4 task.)
