As we sit here frakkin files, pulling pics, and typing a million words a minute to get our readers the latest updates and information…we find ourselves sometimes forgetting to stop and enjoy our own games. More so our neighboreenos. So we try to make it a point to hop in n out of the towns now and then to see what cool things YOU are up to. So we have decided we want to continue to focus more attention (as if we don’t already 😛 ) on YOU…our readers.
Time to time we will be peaking into your towns, checking our Flickr, and also the posts in the comments below to see what cool ideas and designs YOU have come up with to make your towns unique and…well…YOU. So here is YOUR chance to show off all your hard work, time, donuts & in game cash spent. Send us your work, no matter how big or small. Brag about it to the world. We want you to. (That and Bunny loves to see other designs and get inspiration from it.) Then keep your eyes posted to Addicts to see if YOU end up on our “SPRINGFIELD SHOWOFF”. 
With the Terwilliger’s Event over and finally pulled from our game, many of you are now wondering just WHAT to do with all those crafting items you worked so hard to obtain in the game. Even pushing the Event past its limits to get them.
As it can always be a little intimidating, and frustrating, trying to figure out just where to put all this stuff…so who better to turn to than our fellow Addicts? I just love to see the creativity grow and grow. You guys have some great designs and ideas for all that stuff, so let’s take a look!
Due to the response is so overwhelming and we want to show off all of your really hard work, I am still trying a lil different way of putting up as many images as we can possibly smoosh on here. Lol. Just tap one to be taken to the gallery. The name of the creator will be listed at bottom of each pic there along with the location it was pulled from (Comments, FB, Twitter, etc).
Side Note: Several of them I could NOT pull off of Flickr due to you had security settings not allowing me to. Please in the future alter those settings or email the pics to us. Also, we don’t know what names you prefer us to tag images with, so please try to make sure you notate that in your submissions on Email, Flickr, and Twitter. Otherwise we will just use the first name within the email. Thanks. 😉

It’s been months since I’ve played Tapped Out or have been in forums about the game. Surprised and delighted that people like the things I designed and are inspired to do their own. So busy working I never have time to play but I may one day and can’t wait to design more. Add me if you like . MelDesigner

I think it may be time for a remodel or nuking… I’m at 4500 decorations, so everything I add now is fairly simplistic. Plus, I’ll finally be able to add my hedge maze in front of my Stonecutters area. It ain’t a secret hideout if you can just waltz right in. 😉

I believe it’s the power and home button at the same time. Then it goes to your images and you can send from there

I also liked the idea a few people had of using the cactus with Johnny Fiestas. And I was pleased to see that my design, while not striking creative, held its own, for a change! 🙂
i wouldn’t normally call a person out, but tstolvr’s waterfront townhouse/condo is an EXACT ripoff of meldesigner’s classic creation. i mean, sure use it for inspiration and create something really similiar, or even use the same overall design and just change up some of the details. but jeez, copying the WHOLE thing object for object is straight plagiarism….

I posted my comment about tstolvr (still to be moderated) before scrolling down and seeing the further comments. Well, plagiarism indicates stealing rather than copying. Dennis Rodman said ‘I’m starting to see players copy what I do. I’m flattered’. Maybe meldesigner is too. Maybe he/she is not. Either way it will have taken a fair bit of work.
Huh? Plagiarism is defined as “the practice of taking someone else’s work or ideas and passing them off as one’s own.”
I don’t call it that. I think of it as “inspiration”. TSTO is a community. I have seen designs like this used by thousands of players, myself included, since 2012 when the game launched. I think it’s awesome to see it repeated. Otherwise, what’s the point of “showoff” if you don’t want anyone else to see your work? Imitate your art? People design masterpieces like this to inspire others and show their creativity. Not to mention, how do you know the two aren’t friends and share their designs? Or part of another forum sharing their ideas with others like this one?
In short, please use our Addicts Guidelines and don’t pass judgement on others. Saying its plaguerism? Unless you know their back story and their entire life’s actions, it’s really not fair to be judge, jury, and executioner…don’t you think? 😉 If that’s the case, then I should delete all my 2D/3D tutorial off the site as I know many imitate it. 😉
We are all here to share, if you don’t want anyone seeing “your work” then play the game friendless. But then what’s the point of a piece of artwork if it’s shoved in a closet instead of admired by many? I highly doubt meldesigner wants to hide theirs. Especially with all the multiple sites their pics are all over. 😉
with all due respect, duplication does not equal inspiration. i passed no judgement with what i said, and merely stated the truth. whether meldesigner knew about it or not is completely irrelevant; the person who submitted this copied the entire design object for object, and tried to pass it off in this showoff as their own original creation. if they did in fact give proper credit to the original designer when they submitted it to you, i will gladly eat my words and apologize profusely once shown proof of that. otherwise, that is the exact definition of what i called it, and i stand by what i said unequivocally.
frankly, i’m a bit surprised by your relative indifference to a very serious issue in the real world, and an issue i face all the time in my profession dealing with students. sure, there’s no consequence on here for this kind of action, but i expected there to be at least a little concern over failing to give credit where credit is due. i don’t mind if people draw inspiration from my designs and make something really similar, or even straight copy them for use in their own town. i would greatly care, however, if they turned around and submitted that in a showoff on here, pretending it was their own original design without properly crediting me. but if that isn’t something you care about, then perhaps i will have to re-evaluate contributing to these showoff posts.

I would love to post pictures even though my town is cramped up and no where near how I would like it due to not having enough land. We need more land. And how awesome would it be to spend in game cash to buy doughnuts. But none the less I will do some work and post my Springfield anyway. I haven’t done much with mine yet. I was trying to put cement under my monsarno buildings but can’t anymore. Any one else having that problem?
Yeah, I do. I think there’s a post for a work-around to get the cement under those buildings. I just drag them from different directions until they go where I want them to be

I don’t know why my tablet never sent my email to you guys of my screenshots. This is the third time my tablet has held onto an email I’ve sent off. 🙁 I really wanted to show off my farmer’s market, it was a simple little design but I like it.

I didn’t realize until this morning that the email didn’t get out. I can’t see how to add a photo here so it looks like next time I’ll have to post the photos to Twitter to avoid this from problem in the future. Live and learn.
