Level 53 hit our devices last week, to the surprise of a few of us. And the all new level brought a whole lotta pink to Springfield! Level 53 marks the arrive of Malibu Stacy in town, with her HQ and creator Stacy Lovell arriving to our favorite tapping devices! Now I know you may be trying to decide if this is worth YOUR donuts, but don’t sweat it! We’re here to tell you what’s worth the donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Stacy Lovell to YOUR Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this Pink HQ to YOUR Springfield!
Building/Decoration: Malibu Stacy HQ
Character: Stacy Lovell
Donut Price: 165 donuts
Earns: $200, 22xp/8hrs
Conform-O-Meter: Consumerism +10
Size: 4×10
Level Requirement: Must be at Level 53, unless offered Early Access when the update first hit
Pros:
-Comes with a quest line
-Premium character earns 50% more on all cash and xp than a freemium character
-The HQ will be used
-Stacy will also use her Dream House, if you purchase it.
Cons:
-No character interaction after questline
-Her outdoor tasks are ok, but they’re not great.
-Pricey

Premium Take:
I like the combo, but it’s not my favorite. This is one I would pick up, but probably not until later down the road. I do think it’s a bit pricey for what it is/what it does, but it’s still fun. And it’s always nice to have another female in Springfield! Premium players I’d say this one should be on your list, but as a nice to have not a must buy.
Freemium Take:
As a freemium player…I think this combo is a bit overpriced. Freemium players you may want to add this one to your list, but I do think there are better character/building combos in this game to grab (like Akira, Coach K..even Luann). So as a freemium player I’d add this as my nice to have but not before these characters….
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do…and I can tell you I will be purchasing Stacy eventually (probably when there’s a bit of a lull in the game and I want a questline to run). However, this is NOT a Limited-Time Item so take your time with your thought process. Stacy will still be there in a few weeks. So if you’re on the fence or worried about saving up your donuts relax..there’s no rush to get her.

This character and building are now available in the vault starting today for the next week (with a 40 donut rebate to boot; NET 125 Donuts). Still a little too pricey for a non-voiced character with few outdoor tasks (and not a top tier character, IMO).
I’m contemplating either picking up the Observatory for 75 donuts or the Disapproving Squirrel at 65 donuts before next Wednesday. Thoughts on which choice is better?
This is in my vault now. 125 is more than I’m willing to spend on this character/combo.
I think I’ll end up getting the limo for 35 donuts and 2.25%bonus.

She’s not available to me. Hasn’t ever been. I’ve been playing since the game came out. (Years) but I did quit playing for about 9 months. I’m well over level 100. 😢😢
Yes, but where are you gameplay wise? Your XP level is important, but your gameplay level is just as important (if not more) to progress the storyline. What tasks do you have open in your task book?

If “test products” were a longer task, I would definitely want this, but I rarely use one hour tasks. Kind of a shame.
My dog hit me and I acidentally bought it, I was always going to when I leveled up higher (41 at the moment), my dog hit me! So oh well. But it doesn’t go with my town AT ALL! A big 80s style pink building doesn’t fit in at all. It has palms, but you can’t place palms unless at the coastline. I don’t mind having another playable character, but the building looks terrible unless I put it along the coastline where it wouldn’t look right at all.
To this day I still quote talking Barbie, the inspiration for this episode, “Math is hard!” Lol. I am a bookkeeper, and do math all the time, but sometimes the sum isn’t right!
I plan on getting this item, I loved the episode, love pink and Kathleen Turner (Chandler’s dad on Friends, Maddy on Moonlighting) voiced Stacy in the episode. Winning!

I got her and she is pretty cool I would recommend a premium player to get her be freemuium toss up.
This will be a pass for me. One of my criteria is that a character have a 12 or 24 hour outdoor task. I’ll consider an 8 if it’s awesome (I bought the Coach, the bombardment task, it’s all sorts of awesome). There has to be a lot of other awesome to make up for the lack.
I won’t even consider buying it until they release more land. My town is to full for two more buildings. And horribly pink ones, at that…
Bought this right away. Nice color and unique look. Saving up for Sit and Rotate to complete my pink section.
Was really excited to see the Malibu Stacy update – particularly this item and Stacy Lovell because it is one of my favourite episodes of The Simpsons (“Lisa Vs. Malibu Stacy”). You better believe I got that Lisa Lionheart statue too — so glad it talks! Wish it said “If I choose to get married, I’m keeping my own name!”
Kind of disappointed that there is no storyline or character quests for Smithers though. Such a wasted opportunity. It’s stuff like this that makes me so annoyed with EA and this game!
You are so right about Smithers. I was hoping for some kind of interaction with him. How could there not be?
I did buy this, more because I like to buy building/character combos, than because I’m a Stacy fan. Cool looking building, but It’s going to stand out in my downtown area (due to it’s extreme pink!), but it’ll still fit in there well.
Do either Lisa or Smithers have any interaction with this building (or the dream house)? If so, is it just during the questline or is it permanent? That would make those two new items so much more appealing!

A lot of players are having this problem but forget they’re doing the money mountain quest…
I had to get this. But oddly enough the only reason I got her is that she kind of reminds me of Mom, as in Mom’s Robot Oil.

Dame Judith Underdunk reminds me of MoM. But I can see some similarity now that you mention it.

I’m lucky that my tastes are different than most of the items offered as premium. I like some premium items, but not most.
This is a situation where I wish I could just buy the character without the building. I don’t want a giant pink building, but I love having new characters. Just like with Duffman, where I don’t want a brewery in my town, this is a pass for me.
I bought it because it brings more colors to my Springfield.
No more tappin’ for me … game says i need to login first on my other device (which I don’t have) since it didn’t save the last data; if I continue I “might” loose progress … wonder what to do now …
It just means you left the game too soon. It thinks you are still in there. Happens all the time to me. Just continue on and play anyway. No big deal. 😉
It’s pink and cute so I’m know I’m going to get it eventually. But since there’s no rush I’m waiting until I have a lull in my game & start getting bored. I’m still catching up on all the quest lines I let pile up during the Terwilligers event.

Its comforting to know that I agree with the freemium take on this one! Ever since missing out on Mindy this past valentines day I have FOMO with limited time characters though.
Will there be a dream house SIB? I’m tempted by that one because of the lower price

But I can tell you..my advice on it is don’t buy it unless you get Stacy because it’s pretty much useless..
