Level 53 and the Conform-O-Meter

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Level 53 arrived in Springfield last week and with it arrives a couple of “pink ladies” as well as some new buildings & decorations to help improve our Conform-O-Meters!

The Conform-O-Meter is an important part of Tapped-Out because it provides you with a bonus boost in your cash and  XP from everything you collect in the game.  When you achieve a 5-Star Town (it’s max rating) you will receive a 5% bonus on all money and XP collected in your town.  If you missed the previous Conform-O-Meter posts check here for the basics and here for how many points you’ll need to reach 5 stars.

Of course with the release of Level 53 many of the requirements to maintain 5 Stars on your Conform-O-Meter have changed, so let’s check it out and see what the new requirements are.  So now you’ll have all the information you need to maintain that 5-Star Springfield!

Here are the new requirements to maintain a 5-Star Springfield for Level 53

Level Indolence Obedience Consumerism/
    Gluttony
53  570      330       368/411
Tree-hugging
     /Vanity
Righteousness Socialism
42,275/64,370       329    3,450

Indolence, Obedience and Consumerism saw no increase from Level 52 to Level 53, however every other area did show an increase.  Gluttony saw a 10 point increase each.  Tree-hugging saw a 1,850 point increase.  While Vanity also saw an increase, this time of 2,500 points.  Righteousness also increased, about 12 points (yet again).  And rounding out the list Socialism  saw a 144 point increase.

So now let’s take a look at how these new buildings and decorations Level 53 dropped in impact our Conform-o-Meter:

Item  Cost Category Points
Spiffany’s $330,500
(Base)
Consumerism 10
In-Ground Pool $5,000 Vanity 410
Malibu Stacy Headquarters 165 Donuts Consumerism 10
Stacy’s Dream House 55 Donuts Indolence 10
Lisa Lionheart Display 50 Donuts Vanity 550
Stiletto Sculpture 40 Donuts Vanity 400

And that’s the latest on the Conform-O-Meter requirements for Level 53!  As you can see everything in the Level 53 has a couple of items that will boost your Consumerism rating!

How is YOUR town doing?  Are you maxed out?  If not what area(s) currently needs a boost?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we LOVE hearing from you!

  1. Hey, yeah I think its time they add more new stuff, affordable (in the game I mean). The rates of some of the items aren’t quite, how shall I say, proportional,… like for instance Homer’s Ballet is 35 donuts (0,75% bonus) and Murderpuss is 30 donuts (1,00% bonus)…. ?????? Why???? The chalked outlines are 5 donuts and the Suspicious Pile of Dirt is 10 ,yet they have the same 0,25% bonus… and so on. All for good reasons I supose. Maybe I have to think like a little amoebe, just goooo with the flow dude…don’t strees out just don’t think or these guys give a major migraine lol… you pay you good, no bucks then it s**ks to be a free man….

  2. My rightousness was all that dropped (from 5 stars to 4-1/2), but I got it back up with 7 more training walls. I wish there were other ways to boost rightousness other than training walls. I’d tried the whole “keep criminals off the street” trick earlier in the game but don’t think it works that well. Any other options? I’m not liking all the red walls too much lol

On a happy note, my mystery box finally rewarded me with Lard Lad Donuts!!! I gasped so loud I scared my husband!! 😆

    • Hide them behind buildings. I’ve got them stashed behind everything big enough to conceal one sometimes stacked 2 or 3 deep. I don’t have to look at them, and since I placed them my righteousness went to 5 stars and has never dropped. And I finally maxxed out my meter to 5 stars when I placed my second Gas & Grub and Farmers Market during the last event. Consumerism is a b**** to max out!

    • I put mine around the Prep School since the colors matched nicely.

  3. Maxed out for a while now. It took me a long time to get there though, over a year of playing at least. Especially gluttony and consumerism were hard and stayed stuck at 4 or 4,5 stars for a long time: all those Kwik E Marts… Fortunately I can now occassionally replace them by other buildings. Training walls and kebab stands have been very useful in boosting the ratings and both can be hid behind large buildings.

  4. With the last level 53 update, the sound bite when I hit the Christmas plunger and turn off the lights has changed! Now it’s exactly the same as when I turn them on. 🙁

I’m really bummed, but I’m the sort of person who hits these buttons just for the sound bite, because yes. (My other occupation is hitting the task book repeatedly just to hear Homer saying “Task book open! Task book closed!”) Simple minds, simple pleasures. 😀

    Cheers!

    • Me too! I like to see how many times I can open and close the task book before my boyfriend gets annoyed and rolls his eyes at me =)

  5. What, no free donut on National Donut Day?

  6. It’s not related to conform-o-meter but anyway…
I love the event showoffs where i can see the other “addicts” towns 🙂 i think that section of the site does not contain recent showoffs. Could you update it, pretty pls 🙂
    and congrats 😉

    We love you, Alissa!

  8. Really OT, but I don’t know where else to put it: in my c-town I am currently doing the Princess Penelope quest, and for one of the tasks, Lisa and Marge have to visit a concert in Krustyland. Only Marge can’t go to Krustyland in my c-town, and I can’t remember what I have to do to get her there. Can you help? Thanks ever so much!

    • I believe it was the Tunnel of Love that brings her there…

      • ooookay – so no chance of finishing the Princess Penelope quest line, because the Tunnel of Love was a limited time item if I remember correctly. Rather short sighted to include that in a normal level quest. Well done, EA…

    • According to another site, Marge should be able to go to Krustyland after you place the Giant Wheel Ride. Did you remove that? I’m working on that quest line in my B-town (not as far as you thought), but remember wondering the same question you’re asking when working on this in my first town. Hmm, I think it took longer than I expected, like I had to build something else too (like maybe the Toothchipper).

Before the level 43 upgrade that you’re working on, Marge only was able to go if you added the tunnel of love. I never got that, but Marge can go to Krustyland in the A-town.

    • When this came up for me a couple months ago, Marge was able to do this one task, though she never went to KrustyLand before or since. Make sure she’s free while the girls and maybe Penelope are and it’ll maybe work for you, too. I didn’t have any premium items in KrustyLand that I am aware of.

    • As Alissa said, the Tunnel of Love does, or at least did, trigger it (probably did at the time it was released).

I don’t have the Tunnel of Love. I had just completed that task prior to the previous Tewilligers event and the Tunnel of Love wasn’t needed. I had the same issue where Marge couldn’t go to KL. I tried repeatedly and when I couldn’t get it to work I googled the issue.

The thing that worked for me was to go into KL then go to my neighbors. Then go back to my game and then go back into KL.

I saw another post that said try storing the building that they do the concert task in and replacing it. So if the other doesn’t work, maybe try that. And another post also mentioned to try storing Krusty’s Giant Wheel or Moe’s Tavern.

If none of those work, then I have no idea. Mine worked by going the neighbor route.

      • Thanks everyone for the advice – I tried storing and replacing the Itchy & Scratchy Castle (where they are supposed to go to that concert) and Marge appeared in KL.

  9. Is there anything that can be done to help Rightousness? Some of my Tapped out Friends vandalize and it knocks down my rating. Any tips to get it back quicker or build it up to be more resistant?

  10. My Righteousness level dropped from 5 stars to 1 star when the new level hit. I had to but close to 25 of the training walls to get it back up to 5. lol

  11. Thanks for posting these Confirm-O-Meter updates.
One minor question. The Tree-Hugging number listed is the same as listed in the level 52 update, yet you state that it went up by1850. Which is correct?

  12. OrdinarilyBob

    Thanks for the post Addicts.

One thing though, in your table you’re still showing Treehugging at L52’s 42,275 requirement. If it went up 1,850 in L53, it should be 44,125 now.

  13. I literally just managed to catch up with the top level (having started playing in February) and I only have 5 stars on Obedience, Righteousness (after placing dozens of training walls), and Socialism. My town is a mess anyway, what with all the events and not a lot of free land, so after I finish the money mountain and the level 53 quests I’ll probably just nuke it and start redesigning from scratch (or not, I actually like some areas as they are now). Then I’ll start thinking about getting those 5 stars…

  14. Greetings from the UK.

Has the random free doughnuts from visiting your neighbours thing gone? I’ve not had one for ages now.

    Keep up the good work!

    • And just as I write that, I get one. Hah!.

Consider my question cheerfully withdrawn 🙂

  15. I really appreciate all the effort that goes into this site, and all the truly excellent as-it-happens information. You were a huge help during the Terwilligers and made it fun and fulfilling rather than frustrating and bewildering. I would really appreciate it if you could recheck and update some of the older, long-standing information, especially the lists of point values for the item effects on the individual Conform-O-Meter ratings.

For example, I have purchased the Greenpeace boat and a few more campfires and minnow ponds as well as many trees but see my Treehugging 2 stars stay unchanged (I think the Lemon tree is what got it to 2 stars, but the boat may have helped). I also decided a police car would be a good choice to boost my Vanity, but find it is now a premium item. I would love an updayed list so I can spend my limited funds and space wisely. A “last updated” on the core info posts might be useful.

Thanks again for all you do.

  16. For some reason I am having the hardest time beefing up my Vanity level. It’s only at something like 2 1/2 stars and I’m at level 52. I just bought several hundred rainbow trees and it didn’t even register on Tree-Hugging, which still sits at 2 stars. I suppose being strictly freemium accounts for most of my issue.

  17. Give me LAND!! Cannot tuck another building without real estate. Any idea of when/if more acreage will be available?

    • My assumption would be either late in the year or early next year. But not sure. In 2013 they released a strip in October. In 2014 they released a strip of land in August. In 2015 they released a strip in January. So really, it’s anyone’s guess.

    • Bangles Dupree

It’s okay to put some of your seasonal stuff or less favorite items into storage. Some people used house farms to build up their towns and are now selling them off to make room.

  18. Still need another half a star on Consumerism, but maxed out on everything else. Also finally hit the last strip of land on the east side, but can luckily still go south.

  19. Is EA going to do anything special for us for National Donut Day?

  20. I’m glad we’re getting more things that impact consumerism! I managed to finally max out my CoM with KEMs, but now I can replace a KEM with Spiffany’s, and remove another one since I bought the Malibu Stacy headquarters! I tried to spread them out around my town, but I still felt like I had a ton, so this is nice

  21. “Level 53 arrived in Springfield last weel…”

When do we get the next weel? 😛
