Should I Spend Donuts on Homer’s Ballet?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Level 54 hit our devices last week, and the new level brought a little fun from Homer’s noggin’ to our towns!  As Homer’s Ballet makes it’s TSTO debut.  Now I know you may be trying to decide if this is worth YOUR donuts, but don’t sweat it!  We’re here to tell you what’s worth the donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add Homer’s Ballet to YOUR Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this car riding bear to YOUR Springfield!

homersballet_menu

Building/Decoration: Homer’s Ballet
Donut Price: 35 donuts
Bonus %: .75% bonus to all cash and XP
Conform-O-Meter: Vanity +300
Size: 7×7
Unique: Yes
Level Requirement: Must be at Level 54, unless offered Early Access when the update first hit

Pros:
-Fun item from Homer’s mind
-Makes a hilarious sound when tapped…see below
-Animated when tapped.  The bear drives around the ring.

Cons:
-Only impacts Vanity, one of the easiest areas to max out
-No questline associated with it
-Bonus % isn’t that great.  In fact you’ll usually get a 2% bonus with spending 40 donuts (Police Car etc), so this is actually pretty bad in comparison.

Final Thought:
Premium or Freemium:
Honestly it’s not a bad buy.  If you have nostalgia for it, or just like the look of it pick it up. I grabbed it because it makes me giggle…plus the sound is just awesome.
However, if you’re looking for a better investment for your donuts (at least in a conform-o-meter sense) go for a Police Car.  Offers the same bonus % but impacts Obedience.

Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do…and I can tell you I grabbed this one.    However, this is NOT a Limited-Time Item so take your time with your thought process.  It will still be there in a few weeks.  So if you’re on the fence or worried about saving up your donuts relax..there’s no rush to get it.

Sound Clip:
For those curious, here’s the sound clip it plays when tapped…

  1. Thank you for putting up the sound clip… It made me laugh out loud.
I’m sure everyone heard me, ha-ha!
I am having a rough time and needed that.
Thank you very much for that still giggling!! Lol… 🙂 🙂

  2. Best buy eveeeer. Heh.

I still want the bear from the the show or the arcade game to be in here as well. Also mr burns’s nuclear reactor mech he was in on the arcade game. I know it was most likely only in the game but it was pretty bad @##

  3. Yeat again! 40 donuts for Police Car for 2% bonus. Its like you refuse to believe its 30 donuts for 2% with the Jet Bike. Only the police car gets mentioned when comparing donuts per bonus %. Is there a commission for only mentioning the Police car? 😉

  4. Sometimes I load up TSTO just so I can tap on this to hear the sound clip. Worth every donut.

  5. I love this. I thought it over for maybe a day or so, but I had to get it. I tap it all the time and it brings me much joy.
When I’m clearing my town I’ll turn up the volume & tap it half a dozen times in a row. My partner hums along with it now, too.

  6. I LOVE this item!!! I’m surprised at the couple of comments saying they regret purchasing, but to each his own, so I figured I’d chime in and say this is my favorite premium purchase that’s not a character or building. I cannot stop laughing at the sound!! I keep tapping it over and over and over… 😀

  7. Does it go in Krustyland?

  8. I hear a new event is incoming today

  9. Hi 🙂
Is there a way you can send me this sound file?
I’d love to have this as a ringtone for my phone! 🙂

  10. FYI

    Simpsons update.

    World Cup.

    ‘Nuff said.

  11. I believe a sports avent is coming.

  12. There’s a new event update!!!!,

  13. Someone stole my burrito™

    I regretted buying this 🙁

Nope…on my list of premium items to get this one is…well, it’s just not even there. I’m stingy with my donuts I guess and since I play with the sound off most of the time the funny sound effect is not an incentive to get me to buy.

  15. I want that sound clip as my phone or text message ringtone!!!

  16. Homer’s ballet can go on Squidport too!

  17. Thanks for the sound clip, Alissa!
    That’s hilarious!
But not funny enough for me to fork out some sprinklies; I’ll just come here to listen to it. 😉
We must be getting close to a new event…

  18. I don’t think I’m going to get it, but the origin of it is so great that I’m still debating. In the episode both Homer’s initial visualization and Lenny’s later remark are classic. I’ve seen it in neighbors’ towns and love the animation and sound. Maybe if somewhere down the road I come up with a place in my Springfield it would fit nicely I’ll snag it then.

  19. I HAD to buy it after I got 30 donuts on the mystery box + 5 from earlier!

  20. I actually regret getting it. Too bad I can’t get my donuts back. Because this is a good example of useless items they like to add. Granted, its animated sure but who cares? Maybe I’m just more picky than others….

    • In fact now that I think about it, this item looks like it belongs more in Krustyland than in our actual towns….it is totally out of place with every other thing we got. And I don’t even pay attention to my krustyland anymore….because its so boring.

  21. Worth it for the sound, I probably wouldn’t have gotten it otherwise, since it takes up so much room and I don’t like the trash scattered about it. But I could listen to that little ditty all day long.

  22. Omg… I want it just for the sound. Lol but if so be way later. Maybe friend town has one

  23. Marc from Nova Scotia

Just like you said, Alissa, investment-wise there are many better options, but for those with sentimental attachment to it the price is fair. I scooped it up right away on that latter basis and was rewarded with that hilarious sound clip, which never fails to make me smile. A week later, and I still tap it every time I’m roaming through my Springfield. 🙂
