Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Well you’ve been asking for it for the last couple of days and finally here it is….tasks that will earn you additional Amateur Bucks!
This is a list of characters/buildings that have Amateur Buck earning tasks to help you earn more of those precious bucks! This will not include all the ways to earn Amateur bucks (we’ll have a math post for that…so nothing about Tap Ball or Daily Training here). This is simply just showing you how you can earn even more Bucks for your skills…

The following is a list for Act 1. I suspect as more acts roll out and more characters are able to play Tap Ball this list will expand.

And that my friends concludes the list of Amateur Buck earning tasks for Act 1. You’ll see some temporary jobs popup throughout Act 1 that will also earn you bucks, but they’re temporary and only part of a questline. So once completed they won’t show up again…
As the event moves on more tasks will be added and we’ll be sure to cover those as well. These are just what are unlocked right now…
And remember…you can send a character on a task and they can still play Tap Ball.

I received all of my points for Softball Mr. Burns but never got him. What do I do to get his uniform?
Check your inventory. If you still don’t see it contact EA
This has been the worst event for me. ive updated, signed out/in. My characters only give me regular cash for their tasks. Stuck on the Balls of Glory PT.2 task Buy Obesotade I only have 197 tap ball dollars. Got any ideas? If not I might quit for this event. Great site keep up the good work with out your staff I would be lost!
Your characters only give you regular cash because you didn’t unlock the tasks yet (via the questline). As far as obesotade…you should have had enough just from playing the first game. Did you buy something else in the store instead?
Try playing some more tap ball games. That’ll increase it but it’ll take a while.
If that doesn’t work you can try contacting EA and see if they can roll you back to clear it and restart the task. Or you can use donuts to purchase it.
Not there, not in inventory and I tried storing the gym and putting it back out. Does someone need to kick off a tap ball quest line for him?
Did just just buy him or have you had him for a while?
There’s no questline for him related to Tap Ball, he should just appear on the roster.
I’ve had Lugash and even recently won him on the daily tasks but still can’t make him play tap ball or cartwheel. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks.
When you go to your Tap ball field does he show up on the list?
İ got baseball jasper but i cant use him in tap ball, is there anyway to use him in tapball?
Buy Jasper and you can use it. It’s a skin for Jasper, so if you don’t have him in your game the skin will be locked in your inventory until you purchase Jasper (if you purchase him)

Anyway, I don’t know if this has already been mentioned here but I’ve found a little glitch, only little but it’s still beneficial!
When upgrading your players I’ve noticed that when you’re a few bucks short you can purchase the upgrade with donuts. I’ve been as many as 9 bucks short and had the donut option come up but it tells me I can upgrade for ZERO donuts! I have done it on my last 4 upgrades for the cost of ZERO donuts and saved myself 32 bucks so far. I think 9 might be the maximum you can get away with but will try 10 next time. I know it’s not massive but it’s still a helpful glitch. I hope this helps you all out!!! 🙂

Whenever I do my daily training within the 24 hours to get a bonus of 800 amateur bucks I never get them!? I don’t understand why? Can anyone shed any light on this?

I routinely use the 0 donut option to level up, but I notice that my bonus for the first win of the day says 75 tickets, but I never receive that many. Could it be that the 0 bonus difference is being deducted from this bonus?
The Zero Donuts still uses all the available tickets you have as they are part of the Upgrade.
I keep getting this too: the first win of the day bonus says 75 tickets but I never seem to get anywhere near that many added to my total – is it a known problem?

Honestly, haven’t noticed myself. But if it seems like you’re not getting the Amateur Bucks added to your total contact EA and let them know what’s going on.
Sraige- I came on this thread looking for Drederick info (only one a-bucks task is available to me), but when I saw this comment, I wanted to let you know-
The same thing is still happening to me in Act 2. I’m not sure if you saw my comment on another thread about it, but I was specifically told by EA to spread the word and get more people to report it, or else it won’t be fixed. I’m getting 50 bonus a-bucks (plus the amount from the win) on my first win of the day in act 2, so that’s 70 a-bucks per day I’m not receiving. If you’re still having the problem, please report it to EA and help spread the word on here. Thanks a bunch, good luck, and happy tapping!
I’ve noticed under Fit Millhouse’s tasks (at the bottom of the list) is a “Practice tap ball” task that is not selectable. Under “requires” it just says *(null).
What’s up with that? Will this task become selectable later?
His option won’t unlock til later in Daily Training.

Maybe I missed it in previous updates but how do I unlock fit millhouse, gorgeous grampa and gymnastic Lisa?
Fit Millhouse is a previous skin dropped into the game… he won’t make a return for those without him until the Daily Training tasks trigger him. Gorgeous Grandpa also from past (early 2013). No word of if he will make a comeback. Gymnastic Lisa also from past (2013), but she should be in your menu for a Donut buy for just a lil longer.

There seems to be an incredible dearth of opportunities to earn Amateur Bucks. A handful of characters can earn one whopping buck per hour? Ditto the radio station, but only for the 16-hour broadcast. Playing against neighbors, but only once every four hours. How on Earth are we supposed to amass enough to purchase any of the items in the Amateur Shop? Am I missing something here?
Well… if you saw… they can perform these tasks WHILE they play Tap Ball… so combine the two to get better results each day. 🙂
We are only 5 days in… I am sure a LOT more will come to help us earn.
I totally get the upside of sending characters on tasks and their still being free to play Tap Ball – I think that was brilliant. It just seems like the earnings are lacking. Maybe once I get my players upgraded and play as often as possible against 5-star opponents it will make more sense….
When do all these tasks unlock? The only thing my characters can do is Homer Lisa Ned and Apu can practice tap ball for $4.
When the Character unlocks during Daily Challenges/ Personal Prizes… or like with Nelson… you purchase the skin
Ok I’m sure I’m not only one who thought Harry plopped should have had a cool baseball outfit and been able to earn event currency as well as maybe reverend Sean and a few others. It kind of sucks when you buy some characters you like before others and they don’t have any action in events. If Harry plopper ain’t used in Halloween event this year that’s gonna be just stupid. He can also go as spider pig.
Any idea if strongman Homer will be available to unlock? I wasn’t playing when he was available :/
That was a LONG time ago and an Episode Tie In. No idea if EA will return him.
TYSM for this post Alissa. Prob would have have missed the Fit Milhouse task without it. So busy this summer. Really enjoying this event though. I am losing my battles against my neighbors, who have played me so far lol but having fun with it anyway. Love the animation. 🙂

I hope that they add more ways, at the moment I just have Homer, Lisa, Ned and Apu earning some, and then whatever I get from matches. I wanted to craft at least two of each item to decorate the stadium, I wanted to have four stadium lights(I love them, tap to turn them on or off, and they can face all four directions) and then loads of fences to close it all. It seems like that won’t happen as it will take me a long time to earn anywhere near enough. I hope they add more tasks or have some sort of system that earns more. I’m only spending them on upgrades at the moment. I fear it will be like the Terwillinger event, and I will only make a couple of the items that I wanted.
THANK YOU!!! I had no idea you could tap the stadium lights to turn them on! Now, if only our Springfields had a night mode… (I always thought that would be a cool option… I’d love to see some of my buildings, like the Aztec, all lit up at night!)
I don’t know why, but I seem to have a problem remembering that I should ALWAYS try tapping a new decoration to see if it does anything. 🙈
My fantasy is a “Who Shot Mr.Burns” Event with sun-blocker -allowing it to be Night. But I think we just have to wait for Halloween (it’s night then).
No problem, glad it was of some use. 🙂 I normally try tapping them to see if they do anything, I think I actually tapped this one by mistake. I’m glad we can earn two, I’d love to get four overall to face in on my stadium from each direction. I would love a day/night cycle, or the option to toggle it on or off. Especially if it made our buildings light up and the street lights turn on!
Scroll through the future prizes for Daily Training and you will see some of the stadium items. In four days, the prize is another grandstand. Four days after that, it’s a double-decker grandstand. The day after that. it’s another light pole. At some point there’s even a triple-decker grandstand.
I do agree with you that the math makes it seem unlikely to be able to purchase much. One section of stadium fence costs 325 bucks! That’s a week’s worth of amateur bucks. This might be a long event, but it’s not long enough at this rate.
I have seen them thanks, I just wanted two of each. The single seating will be fine as you can get two anyway, but the others would be nice. We are early in, but it seems like it will take a very long time to earn enough. I think if I can craft any fences, it will only be a few which won’t really go anywhere. I hope they add ways to earn a lot more as I quite like these items but doubt I will be able to get many. Obesotade or whatever it is called is also very expensive, I guess that that would help people play matches to earn them, but I’m sure that the cost spent would overshadow the amount made. :/ I think additional lights cost 1,600 bucks! We can get two from tasks, but I would like 4 to face in from each direction.
I have a bug that is stopping me from getting into the game … It won’t load past the welcome page 99% of the time. Is anyone else having this issue? It’s only started since the event started typically!

Ticket earning seems like a long and arduous process. Not speedy when you want to craft and upgrade. Just my two cents. Still playing though! Thanks for the posts Alissa, Bunny and Wookie! You three rock.
Is anyone else’s game force closing while visiting friends in this event? I can’t visit friends to collect extra foam fingers because the game continually closes on me. Any advice to help this?

There was a tiny update that just happened which seems to have fixed this issue. 🙂
so lisa and homer both finished 12 hour ticket tasks and their ticket icon showed up but the tickets didnt register in the earned tally. WTF
Keep an eye out… sometimes the tickets add immediately… and not as the icon floats over so it may have been missed. But if you feel you are truly missing some, contact EA
So far I’m either behind or confused! This morning I’m kicked out more times than homer can throw the ball 🙁 ideas?
