Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Are you ready for some Tap Ball!? Tap Ball is the newest sensation sweeping the streets of Springfield. A game invented by our very own Homer J Simpson! In the First “Act” of the Tap Ball Event (funny they’re called Acts, really they should be called Periods like Hockey. Oh EA, it thought you knew sports 😉 ) you’ll unlock Referee Homer, Soccer Lisa, Pin Pal Apu, Build a Stadium (with a little help from Duff, the Kwik-E-Mart, Costington’s and Stupid Flanders) and challenge your friends and neighbors to some friendly Tap Ball competitions!
This Event is broken up into 3 Acts (again, should be called Periods EA…), with each Act containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the First Act you’re tasked with collecting Foam Fingers (
) to unlock each prize! The First Act 1 prize awarded at 1,900 is the Homertron, a new state of the art scoreboard for your Stadium!
So let’s take a closer look at this scoreboard and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield.
Once you’ve collected 1,900 you’ll automatically be awarded the Homertron and you’ll see this message popup:
You’ll have the ability to place the Homertron in your Springfield immediately or place it in your inventory for later (store). If you store it, remember you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it.
And that’s really it to the first prize. There’s no questline, no dialogue, nothing telling you to place it in your Springfield to earn more . Just win the prize and that’s it.

Where Can I Place It?: Beach/Grass/Pavement/Boardwalk
What Does it Do?: This is an animated decoration and it will light up and play “ads” for various things in Springfield…everything from Duff Lady to Malk to the Blocko Store. It’s a pretty neat decoration and makes a nice addition to the Stadium. Here’s a look at one of the “ads”:

Hi, i hope somone can help me, i unlocked the second stand in daily training,but just as i got it the game crashed! I cant find it anywhere evenin my inventory. ..please help…thank you
Double check your daily training to make sure it’s still cleared. If it is and you still don’t see it, contact EA and let them know. They should be able to restore it for you.
For some stupid reason my game update didn’t warn me of the tap ball event as it does usually so I’m gonna be short on getting mr burns skin. Will I have to pay a ludicrous amount of tickets or is it just going to let me collect foam fingers to get him then go on to act 2 prizes. If so I’ll def be able to catch up but if not I’ll never get caught up. Honestly I hate EA sometimes.
Not sure how it’ll play out when Act 2 starts just yet…
I never won (no spent Donuts to obtain) the Stadium or Colosseum.
Thanks to Tap Ball? Now I have a Stadium setup ( complete with a Homer Jumbotron (lol). I may not have gotten a new Simpsons Character, but I have obtained some new skins ( when applied to a Simpsons Character? you know that means bonus xp points and Simpsons cash)_.. 😉
+1 on Mr. Sparkle….I actually expected that to be there. Otherwise still the best freebie I’ve gotten in my short tenure tapping.

I foolishly put Lisa to juggle balls for 24 hrs almost right before her daily award balancing tasks. There’s no way to free her, is there?
Unfortunately, if it’s outdoors, no. She’s one of the few you can’t store.
Lol I did the exact same thing, totally meant to check the post listing all the daily tasks too but I was just tap-happy. Oh well.
I know I really shouldn’t complain because we do get sooo much for free, but I really wish they’d allow some of the free characters to play tap ball. I mean we have the 4 that you get right off the bat, but we have all these premium skins, Nelson, Tatum, Crazy Cat Lady, Lugash, Jasper. Really hard to build up to a secondary team. Even when we get Burns and Milhouse that’s only 6 characters. Hopefully more are added in the second half (hoping tennis Marge and Jockey Bart are free).

Says who? Until he is actually live in the game, we will not know 100% who costs what. EA can and has changed game aspects many times before they go live as well as hold items out. 😉
Is there a should I buy post for balance beam Lisa? I saw where she was released before but wasn’t sure if she earned anything first r this event.

I don’t like the sight of the muscular lady Duff.
I dont know about the rest of you, but i am going to use some of the items to create an obstacle course near the police tation. The training wall, tires and the rope wall are perfect to build a training area. Hopefully act two prizes continue to be cool.
was thinking the same thing, either there, or Camp Krusty.
My rope wall didn’t fit by Camp Krusty so I put it in the Stonecutters daycare center, looks good. Placed the tires by Otto’s broken down bus.
I, like many other people just won Softball Burns already, so I’m at the point to collect bonus foam fingers. Watching the count down clock with as of now 2 days remaining.
Assume foam fingers will change into Pointy Sporty Flags.
Love the Homertron! EA could really play with that and change the animations to fit the game as it plays out over time. It would be fun to see it flash someday, “Thank You Addicts”, and give credit where credit is due…
Great reference “Malk” and Blocko Land, Lady Duff standing still while clouds move in the background still kinda throws me now and then. Since I didn’t get Lady Duff that’ll have to be the substitute.
There are so many Ads they could have done. (Mr. Sparkle for example) but I’m contented, I’m glad it wasn’t ads for other EA games. (If they did that it would have gone straight into storage).
I do wonder how much Gigabytes or memory some of these decorations or characters have (which my slow or glitch up the game as well as your device itself), luckly I haven’t noticed any major issues besides my Farmers Markets transforming into crazy glitch patterns once in a while.
The graphics take much less storage than audio clips do, I’m guessing.

I like the Homertron, doesn’t take up much room but has a big impact thanks to the constant animation.
So many sporty options EA could have used as names for the different phases rather than acts. There’s a few choices even if they just limited themselves to the competitions that are currently taking place such as Women’s World Cup and Wimbledon.
Innings, sets, matches, etc?
I’m sure one of those before-the-next-act updates will change acts to something else. And if not, hey, that’s tap ball. Three acts a game.
Hardest part is figuring out which ones we should put in the Tapball park and which ones we should hide in the disused corners of springfield (i.e. Tires, Bowling Pin stand, etc.)
Bowling Pin near Barney’s Bowlarama seemed like the logical place.
I find that the prizes so far for this event are pretty lackluster. Would love a new character and not just skins, especially the daily prizes for premium character skins I don’t even have. Hopefully act 2 and 3 are better
