Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Are you ready for some Tap Ball!? Tap Ball is the newest sensation sweeping the streets of Springfield. A game invented by our very own Homer J Simpson! In the First “Act” of the Tap Ball Event (funny they’re called Acts, really they should be called Periods like Hockey. Oh EA, it thought you knew sports 😉 ) you’ll unlock Referee Homer, Soccer Lisa, Pin Pal Apu, Build a Stadium (with a little help from Duff, the Kwik-E-Mart, Costington’s and Stupid Flanders) and challenge your friends and neighbors to some friendly Tap Ball competitions!
This Event is broken up into 3 Acts (again, should be called Periods EA…), with each Act containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the First Act you’re tasked with collecting Foam Fingers (
) to unlock each prize! The Third Act 1 prize awarded at 11,300 is Baseball Jasper, a new costume for Jasper (a premium character) to wear in Springfield!
So let’s take a closer look at this “league of their own” star and find out just who’s Lou (the bus driver) just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield.
Once you’ve collected 11,300 you’ll automatically be awarded Baseball Jasper and you’ll see this message popup:
Now…if you DON’T have Jasper (ie if you didn’t spend the donuts to buy him) this costume will remain locked in your inventory until you purchase Jasper. You cannot use Baseball Jasper unless you already own Jasper.
If you already have Jasper you’ll automatically unlock this costume and Jasper will become Baseball Jasper..
And Baseball Jasper is part of the Sporty Oldies Character collection:
If you own Jasper, you can immediately start using him to play Tap Ball. You’ll find him on your roster of players when you start a new game.
Jasper also comes with a full questline. Here’s the Turbo Tappin’ Version (we’ll cover the full dialogue as the event winds down)…

Too many skins for premium characters I don’t have and even if I did have the donuts for them there’s others I would want to get first (Like Rex Banner who just showed up in the store).
I’d like to be able to put a second team together, but from what I’ve seen so far it’s unlikely…
is there any point in holding of on my last daily task till act 2 starts? Not going to make a second set of 4000 fingers and if it will help with getting further ahead on the prizes for act 2 that’s a Plus.
You can do it if you’re already maxed out on foam fingers, it’ll give you a jump on the next currency.
luckily I already had jasper. the other two premium in act/period were/are a bit too rich/costly for my taste so I will pass on them. I hope some of the other premiums I have/earned will pop up to be used. Cant really see spending that much for a nelson skin either
Hey is there any indication of what other premium players might be used later so that we can buy them and start those initial questlines now?

Curious, with this event,(which is pretty cool so far), will you guys do a special should buy for this event? Mainly on characters that are premium that can be used. I.E. Jasper, Tatum, and future ones to be unlocked like the crazy cat lady?
Not really…the same info stands for them as if the event wasn’t going on. So the others are still valid. The only difference is they can earn tickets and play tap ball for this specific event.
I agree – it’s almost never recommend that someone buy a premium character just because they can help with an event. If you were going to buy Jasper anyway at some point, then get him now (I did that with Bumblebee Man during a recent event…was planning to get him anyway, but moved up my timetable so he could help out during the event, too). But if he wasn’t already on your list, and/or the regular SIB doesn’t make you want to have him, then pass.

Ummm I got the costume unlocked, then got Jasper by purchasing him, his “regular” questline started up, but his Tapp Ball one never did yet, I’ve tried putting him in the costume, going to K-Land and back, and it doesn’t trigger. What am I doing wrong? Any suggestions?
Most likely you have to complete his main one first

A little offtopic -if you are a neighbor of mine play me a ton til around 7/14, I can barely get in more than 1x a day~~~7/4 annual beach bash in OCNJ & tons of family type obligations—so I’m probably an easy win(💖💖💖 helping my neighbor-ennoos) still loving the update & playing—will just 0000 out this phase! I just bought Jasper and I haven’t done his questline yet since I want him earning amateur bucks. I’m guessing this questline won’t trigger until I finish that first, which would be fine but I don’t have half of those tasks in his task list. Is there a time limit for unlocking them? I don’t want to miss out on animated tasks…
Until you run his main questline, his alternate skin one will not trigger.

I dunno. I’m a but miffed that so far, the prizes have been skins for characters I don’t want and have to spend doughnuts on. At the moment the only redeeming quality is more tap ball players for the roster, but as soon as the event is over, they’ll end up in my inventory.
it’s definitely a sort of “sneaky” way for EA to try and get you to fork over more donuts. i now have jaspers stonecutter and baseball outfit in my inventory. that said, i might now buy him because he is/was one of my favorite side characters from the show.

Hi…I’m waaaay behind in this event and haven’t got Baseball Jasper yet. If the counter for act 1 runs out, will it just go into act 2 or can I continue to collect foam fingers until I’ve got everything from act 1?
If it is like last Events, the items might roll over to be able to get from the Amateur shop for Amateur Bucks. We won’t know for sure until Act 2 starts Thursday.
Jasper is still my favorite of the characters I have and these new tasks make him even better.
