Tap Ball Prize Guide: Act 1, Prizes 2 and 4 Obstacle Tires and Wall

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Are you ready for some Tap Ball!? Tap Ball is the newest sensation sweeping the streets of Springfield.  A game invented by our very own Homer J Simpson!  In the First “Act” of the Tap Ball Event (funny they’re called Acts, really they should be called Periods like Hockey.  Oh EA, it thought you knew sports 😉 ) you’ll unlock Referee Homer, Soccer Lisa, Pin Pal Apu, Build a Stadium (with a little help from Duff, the Kwik-E-Mart, Costington’s and Stupid Flanders) and challenge your friends and neighbors to some friendly Tap Ball competitions!

This Event is broken up into 3 Acts (again, should be called Periods EA…), with each Act containing part of the story.  To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act.  Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event.  For the First Act you’re tasked with collecting Foam Fingers (ico_june2015_foamfingers_01) to unlock each prize!  For this post we’re going to combine the second and fourth prize…why?  Because they’re basically the same prize, just designed a bit different.  So they fit nicely together in one post 🙂 Sooo…

The Second Act 1 prize awarded at 5,600 ico_june2015_foamfingers_01 is the Obstacle Tires.  2015-06-30 15.26.23

And the Fourth Act 1 Prize awarded at 15,100 ico_june2015_foamfingers_01 is the Obstacle Wall.  2015-06-30 15.27.48

Both items are decorations for your Springfield.  So let’s take a closer look at both of these obstacales and just what happens when you unlock them in your Springfield.

Let’s start with the Obstacle Tires…

Once you’ve collected 15,600 ico_june2015_foamfingers_01 you’ll automatically be awarded the Obstacle Tires and you’ll see this message popup:

2015-06-30 15.26.30

You’ll have the ability to place the Tires in your Springfield immediately or place it in your inventory for later (store).  If you store it, remember you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it.

And it’s basically the exact same thing for the Obstacle Wall…

Once you’ve collected 15,100 ico_june2015_foamfingers_01 you’ll automatically be awarded the Obstacle Wall and you’ll see this message popup:

2015-06-30 15.27.56

You’ll have the ability to place the Wall in your Springfield immediately or place it in your inventory for later (store).  If you store it, remember you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it.

And that’s really it to BOTH prizes.  There’s no questline, no dialogue, nothing telling you to place it in your Springfield to earn more ico_june2015_foamfingers_01.  Just win the prize and that’s it.

And now here are some quick facts about the Obstacles (they’re both exactly the same):

Size: 3×3
Conform-O-Meter Impact: Vanity +500
Where Can I Place It?: Grass/Pavement
What Does it Do?:
Nothing really.  Just a decoration for your Springfield.  No animation and no character interaction.

So that’s it my friends the full breakdown on the Foam Finger Obstacles for Act 1!

What do you think of the Obstacles?  Have you unlocked 1 or both yet?  Where about you placed it in your Springfield?  Thoughts about the event overall?  Any prizes you’re most looking forward to?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. Actually, the obstacle wall and tire both have minor animations when tapped. The tires raise up and down and the rope on the wall swings.

  2. Well they’re Freemiums, so I can’t complain (either use ’em, store ’em, sell ’em). Act 2 and Act 3 must have worthy Freemiums, or Tappers all just ignore the Tap Ball Event (I don’t think EA would want that)….

  3. Maxine george

Can anyone explain the drinks and how to get more of the ones that revive my players? I don’t understand how to get them to drink certain ones? Thanks in advance, Maxine George

    • Obesotade is essentially a Sports Drink, like Gatorade. Your Character needs one after a game to “recharge” if you do not want to wait the 4hrs for them to reset.

You can earn Obesotade in the Daily Training Challenges, otherwise you have to buy it with your Amateur Bucks in the Amateur Store.

So, tap on the Soccer & Mit icon in the lower right then look for the Soccer, Mit, and Amateur Buck Tab and tap on it. It will take you to the Amateur Shop to locate the different Obesotade options.

To use it, in same pop up, Go to your Clipboard Tab and tap on it. You will see the Team Management Screen and any “Fatigued” player with a “RECHARGE” option right next to them. Tapping on “Recharge” will use ONE Obesotade.

You can also “Recharge” them from the Team Roster screen when you are picking out players for the next Tap Ball Game.

  4. i may be completely wrong but i feel that furious D may use the tyres when he becomes available.

  5. I might be completely wrong but I have the feeling that when he becomes available furious D may use the tyres for a task.

  6. I’m on The Mighty Bucks Pt. 2 Milhouse can’t participate in make kids play softball

  7. Hi guys, slightly off topic here.
I unlocked lugash to use in tapball for completing the daily training activity, but he is not in my game anywhere. Does completing the daily training only unlock him for use in tapball if you have purchased him for your game already?

  8. I really like them, i put them as a mini obstacle course in my Herman compound. Hoping for a third to perfectly fit in my space, two is too short really, how likely is another or two in act two?

  9. I’ve had a training course for my police compound for a while using training walls, cones, monkey bars and a training bag, but I always thought it looked a little poor… until now. These new prizes really make it work.

  10. Hey all! I’ve completed all act one prizes today (woot woot!). Im still continuing with the daily tasks and I’ve completed the character one (not sure of the name. Looks like a coach. Wearing brown with yellow stripes). He’s a character not a skin. After I got him, I can’t find him on my springfield nor in my inventory. When I check my daily tasks, he has a check mark over him. Is there anything I’m missing?

  11. I like the prizes. They look good around Kamp Krusty.

  12. I am desperate for more land. I’d love to purchase several new offers and have no acreage to place. Any land offerings in the future?

  13. It might be worth noting they do make a sound! Doesn’t really make them any better though :/

    • I quite like them considering in events we only usually get three decent prizes each act we get 5 in this one so these two are like just 2 little bonuses if you ask me 😀
