4th of July has arrived in Springfield! But, with that limited-time label it may be overwhelming trying to decide which items to buy and what to pass on. . But, have no fear! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth your donuts & what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Richard Nixon and the Scandal-gate Hotel to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding this former President to your Springfield.

Pros:
-Premium character, earns 50% more cash and xp on all tasks
-Comes with his own questline.
-A couple of funny outdoor tasks
-Completes the 4th of July Character Set (assuming you have everyone from previous 4th of July Events)
-He’s voiced, with 4 funny phrases.
Cons:
-Pricey
-It’s Richard Nixon…not exactly the same as Honest Abe 😉
-Scandal-gate Hotel can be difficult to find the right fit in Springfield.

If you’ve played every 4th of July and already own Lincoln and Washington, then you may want to pick up Nixon just for collection sake. Also, if you’re a big Futurama fan, you may want to grab him for nostalgia sake. Otherwise, this may be one you want to pass one. Personally I like Lincoln and Washington a bit more than Nixon. Their tasks are funnier and their building/tree is easier to fit into Springfield than the Scandal-gate Hotel.
Of course all that being said…I already own Lincoln and Washington & i’m a big history buff so I will be pulling the trigger on Tricky Dick. (and that fact that he’s voiced better than any other president in the game is an added bonus)

Pass on this one. If you’re looking to spend the donuts on a president get Lincoln or Washington (personally I like Lincoln better). Don’t spend those hard earned donuts on Nixon…
Just remember whatever you decide this is a LIMITED-TIME character and once he’s gone, he’s gone…so be sure to get him before July 9th if you’re thinking about making that purchase!

I’m a Freemium player, but in the end I decided that getting Nixon was worth spending the donuts.
I got Nixon because of Futurama and his phrases are funny. Washington and Lincoln I might get next year.
I wish Washington and Lincoln would be offered for longer because I don’t get paid until Friday so I can’t afford them 🙁 I am going to go with Nixon solely for the purpose of gaining money quicker….I am only level 34 after a few months of playing…fairly new to the game still. I don’t know if I am the only one who has experienced this problem because of my way of gameplay or not but my quests are constantly clogged up with things I need to buy and it seems to take me forever to get the money saved for them. I have 10 active quests right now and 4 of them are to buy items. I am 2 levels ahead already of the last character item it is waiting for me to buy. Since Nixon is 55 every hour and the other 2 are only 500 once a day it is more beneficial for me right now to get the faster payout. I am sure that is not the case for those of you who are much farther along in them game….you probably have tons of money to spare. I would prefer Lincoln the most and then Washington and Nixon but that is I guess. My only question is what do you think the chances are that Washington and Lincoln will be offered again in the future? Maybe even at a discount like Gil did a few weeks ago? I really am bummed tonight over this whole situation. I hate not being able to afford to be a premium player!!! Also….thank you for the dedication to this website….it is a lifesaver for a newbie to the game like me!!!!
I don’t think they’ll come back soon…probably next 4th of July. Maybe President’s Day. The odds of them being discounted is slim.
