4th of July has arrived in Springfield! But, with that limited-time label it may be overwhelming trying to decide which items to buy and what to pass on. . But, have no fear! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth your donuts & what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Giuseppe and his workshop to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding this firework to your Springfield.

Pros:

-Comes with his own questline.
-A couple of funny outdoor tasks
-Completes the 4th of July Character Set (assuming you have everyone else)

Cons:
-Only from 1 episode of the show, the season 25 Finale.
-Workshop is a little on the small side
-Was free last year
Final Thought:
Premium or Freemium
Well I’ve thought about this one a lot and it was difficult because I initially got Giuseppe for free last 4th of July (2014). And I’m always on the fence about spending donuts on something you initially got for free. However, as I sat down to write this post and tried to think of cons..I really couldn’t. This is a good combo. It’s well priced for a character/building. Giuseppe has some fun animations and he’s voiced. Honestly you can’t ask for more in a premium character/building combo.
So in my mind…this is a good buy for premium AND freemium players alike. Probably one of the best combos in the game, for the price.
Just remember whatever you decide this is a LIMITED-TIME character and once he’s gone, he’s gone…so be sure to get him before July 9th if you’re thinking about making that purchase!

I completely agree with this assessment. For 95 donuts, you can’t ask for a better buy. I got him free last year but would have bought him in a heartbeat if I didn’t have him. I love his tasks, too.
I acquired Giuseppe this year, but his quest line never started…what do you think I did wrong? I’m level 54, haven’t built Spiffany’s yet btw.

Try storing and replacing. Could also be that there are too many tasks in your task book now, it could come up later after some are cleared out
I really like Giuseppe. It was around 4th July when I started to play this game last year, and Giuseppe was the first character I earn that isn’t from level-ups, so he’s kinda special to me. I will always have Giuseppe as a reminder of how I could work hard and evolve my little city more and more. 🙂

I like him. I picked him up when he was released at Christmas and never regretted it. I have his house set up as a sort of “guest house” in the back of the property at Rancho Relaxo.
I got him last year for free. I placed his workshop in my Italian area, w/ the Italian villa, Zesty’s, the “Italian Krusty Burger”, and Luigi’s.
What is the “Italian Krusty Burger” and how did you get it?
It’s just my normal Krusty Burger’s nickname for that area.
Just leveled up got 3 bonuts, then i made two purchases one of them being Guisippe! Now i have zero donuts, sigh! Least 10 is on its way😎

Makes me mad they bring things back. How will long time players distinguish themselves if they never get to have things that are unique?
Is that kind of validation really important to you?
I prefer to have a win-win mindset…while I’d probably be upset if folks could get something for $$ or for free that I paid donuts for, I don’t see how allowing other folks the opportunity to get stuff that I got for free minimizes those items’ value for me. I was grateful when I’ve had the opportunity to get previous items that I’ve coveted in other people’s towns and, now that I’ve been playing awhile and am sometimes on the other side if that equation, I feel happy for those newbies who are now able to get something that maybe they were coveting.
If you need something to make you feel “special” as a long-time player of the game, how about using your experience to help others who may not know as much as you do about it? Or you can just rely on your Mapple store to tell the tale, lol! 😉
To each their own and we all play the game differently. Personally I’d rather have a freemium item turn premium to get extra payout. I hoard limited time freemium decorations just in case they turn premium. One day, one of the decorations I’ve hoarded will and it will be an amazing day.
I agree – it’s great when that happens (although I don’t go so far as to intentionally get stuff with that in mind…I just get all the freemium stuff I can because it’s fun to have all that stuff and it’s, well, free!).
But that’s not a strategy that means that your happiness depends on the unhappiness of others…those are the strategies that make me either sad or annoyed, depending on the mood I’m in.
I love having his workshop tucked into the woods next to my CoC castles, right by the river. To me, his house always seemed old fashioned-European, so having it by a castle fit. I wanted to also put Üter’s restaurant nearby, but it didn’t work out. If I hadn’t gotten him last year, I certainly would’ve bought him. 🙂
I got him free last year, does that mean he now pays premium rates for tasks? Or does he still pay regular rates? I like the workshop. It looks like a house so fits in the housing area quite well. 🙂
Usually when they switch… the payouts do too. Sometimes right away, sometimes it takes a patch. 😉
Though I got this combo for free, if it were offered now compared to the other things being offered right now, this is the one I’d pay donuts for. The price is good, and the workshop is not very big so tucks into any neighborhood with surprising flexibility visually.
Plus, a 12-hour task that puts fireworks over the immediate area? That’s exactly my favorite kind of thing.

I have gotten every character that you suggested for freemium players. Now ill have to get this one before the 9th.
I started playing last July, so I’ve had him in my game pretty much from the beginning and feel kinda attached to him because of it.
So, does this mean he’ll now pay out premium rates for those of us who got him free last year? I forgot to check before I sent him on his 8-hour task this morning…
He became premium over Christmas when he was re-released as a premium character.
I got him last year, love his visible tasks as well as the chimney fireworks. Noticed his 24 hour task now says look for stolen fireworks, but visibly it’s still the same.
I was reading to see what I was missing out on as have no donuts then remembered I already have him lol, feeling tired lately.
I didn’t think a lot about it and got him and Rex Banner as well. A character/building under the prize of 100 Donuts should be a no-brainer in my opinion.
Only con I can think of, is that I won’t start the quests for both until the Tapp Ball Event is over, because I need Lisa and Homer to get me more amateur $. But on the pro side, I’ll have something to do, after the Soccer Event.
Thinking about it, everything about this is just good.
I like this guy. Got him last year and his workshop is one of my beach houses. Kinda nice when the fireworks are exploding out of the chimney and Mandy’s tanning next door in front of the cool brown house. 🙂
I picked him up during the New Year’s event. I just needed the rest of the collection and was able to do that this time. I had been wanting Lincoln and Washington in my town for some time and was hoping for them to be released for President’s Day but alas it was not meant to be until now.
