Here we are in Act 2 of Tap Ball! Seems like just yesterday we were making our way through Act 1 collecting those foam fingers and now here we are smack dab into Act 2 and collecting hats. Oh wait. That was yesterday!
Anyway we’re in the middle Act of our fun little summer sporting event..and with a new Act rolled out that of course means a new questline! The Act 2 questline is nothing like the Act 1 questline…first off it’s short. And second it really doesn’t do much for you for game directions. But nevertheless let’s still breakdown Turbo Tappin’ walkthrough for Act 2…
Note: Act 2 is a continuation of Act 1 and the questline is VERY short (3 parts). There are also questlines when you win Springy, Tennis Marge and if you purchase Bart. We’ll cover those in their own rundown posts….

And that my friends concludes the walkthrough for Act 2 of the Tap Ball Event! No too much going on for Act 2, questline wise. So you can focus your time on earning more Amateur Bucks and playing Tap Ball.

Hi this is doing my head in! How do i drop a ball into another springfield? Iv looked so hard to do it.. if anyone could email me back please itd be great thanks!
First, you need to unlock the option by following the questline in your game. Next, BUY or Earn a Ball, then go to a neighbor, once there you will see the Soccer Ball in the upper top right corner along with a Count number on it of how many you have. Tap it to drop one. Done.
Thanks i have unlocked the ball and bought 3 but haven’t unlocked the ability to drop one in my neighbours town..

Hi blog just a quick Q on community prizes how come items are cost so much it’s going to take ages to get the prizes bet the season runs out be for I get the items tar Chris any options to make it go faster would help thanks 😀

How exactly do the balls work that you and your neighbors can share?
I have got a few and shared them, but I don’t really see any reward for doing so. Is it just a fun thing to do in and of itself or is there a reward that I am not receiving or noticing?

I completed the Act 2 quest line but am still only getting hats for my first 50 friend actions – The timer on “other Springfield” has reset twice since I finished but still not getting 90. What gives?
We’re still investigating what’s going on. I think a patch hit shortly after the first one that dropped it back to 50 which accounts for the different numbers.

I’m sure there’s a Should I Buy It coming, but I was wondering if Furious D is his own separate, playable character (both in tap ball and regular Springfield life) or if he’s only part of Bart’s Sporty skin? I guess I’m asking if I’m buying a character and a skin or just a skin. Thanks!

Well, this is weird… I just found a football – American football, not a soccer ball – bouncing around my town! I tapped it and picked it up, but it didn’t increment my soccer ball count (probably because it wasn’t a soccer ball!), so I’m kinda at a loss to understand how it got there (who sent it?) and what its significance and/or purpose is…
Anyone got any ideas?
That’s what happened in my town. Getting different answers from different players. Have to play around with it some more.
I had the same thing happen.
One of your friends sent it. I put a soccer ball into a friend’s town but it changed into a football when I dropped it in. I don’t know why it changed but at least it answers the question of how yours got there.
Mine was not either – It was a beach ball – the one I dropped in a friends town and the one that was dropped in mine
So I haven’t seen anyone mention the fact that some of the characters have new catch phrases. I’ve noticed this with homer the most but I noticed Lou say something about his genitals, which I’ve never heard before. I assume some of the other characters have new lines too but I haven’t checked.
Skinner and Apu too from what I’ve noticed.
Not sure… Lou’s saying actually is an original one he says and very hilarious. I know Flanders got new sayings with the Puritan skin. As I play muted often, I may have missed some.
So when you buy the community ball for donuts and bucks, do you only get a once-off community ball that disappears right after you put it in a friends Springfield? My husband bought one and put it in my Springfield, I tapped it and got no ball in return or anything else. He got nothing else either. He thought I’d get the ball and be able to toss it back to him. Apparently he was wrong? That seems pretty steep for a once-off!

I missed out on Mr Burns costume.. Not happy.. Is there anyway of getting it later now the foam hands have finished?? Loving the event though!!

What is the point of dropping balls? I saw no changes
It completes the questline and let’s you move on. Also your way of contributing to the community prize count.
Um I found a ball in my town, clicked it, and used it on a neighbors town. It counted toward the quest, and when Homer was available started the next quest without me buying a ball. Although the second ball I found, when I collected it, counted as 0 balls, so not sure if the new quest triggering fixed that or not.
I didn’t see a difference in that counter. Even the town I just checked for first time this act had Sam epoi ts as the 2 I used to drop and catch.I also didn’t get another ball. To redrop
I dropped a ball in my daughter’s town andere she got it right away. She dropped also one in my town but i can’t find it anywhere ? What can i do ? Andere what can we gain from it ? Thx

I have 2 Springfields. I threw the ball from town A to town B. I went to town B and found the ball and “collected” it. Now what? Nothing else? What about the prizes shown? How do we collect on those – the first being 10 donuts?

Help ? My daily training won’t roll over ? I’ve completed a the quest before the on for Milhouse and now since act 2 started , the daily training just stopped working. There’s only a message on the daily in training page saying I’ve completed the trainings when j haven’t. Anyone else having this problem ??
What prize is it showing?
500 amateur bucks seems steep for the sports balls especially when trying to save up for other items and player upgrades. It kinda feels like EA is trying to make it so we don’t get all the community prizes and they can sell the leftovers for donuts. I remember that was their plan when the king homer prize was last community prize the first time we had community prizes for a halloween event a few years back and they were surprised that we unlocked it.
Do you only need one ball or do we need a new ball each time? I’m confused on how this catch thing works
New ball each time. You just put ball in your neighbors town, that’s it. Nothing else happens

1. Do we need to purchase the Sports Ball to progress tasks? Eg to get to “Meet my trophy life pt 10”
2. Do we need to use Amateur Bucks (& same amount) to buy another ball?

It does change shape after you release it. First time it actually was a soccer ball, but since then I have seen it turn into a beach ball and a rugby ball (or is that football? Not quite sure I know the difference).

Will we get to see a ball dropped in our towns? I dropped one on my brother and my daughter today. They are funny when you drop them but it would be cute to see them in my town also. (I dropped 2 because I have an a and a b game-I did NOT have 1000 Bucs )

I’m thinking about focusing the amateur bucks on upgrading for a few days and then buying the soccer ball and finishing the quest line with a day or two left in Act 2. That way I’ll have higher level players earlier and should be able to maximize my amateur bucks earnings.
Assuming community prizes keep going until the end of the event I don’t see a downside with this strategy (aside from having yet another item stacking up in the to do list), but if anybody sees something I’m missing please let me know 🙂
I’m still confused on this event on how upgrading all my tap ball players to 5 stars will help me get more amatuer bucks in the end for crafting? So far that’s where all my amatuer bucks have went. And still only have the main 4 players to start with and now Burns for a total of 5 tap ball players.
You don’t have to upgrade them all…
Honestly I went with 4 and that’s my “a” team. You can stop upgrading if you want..it’s a personal choice. I just shared my strategy with everyone…now I’m upgraded and have the rest of the event to earn Amateur Bucks for other things..
my team is 3. works well.
I hope i can get all the amateaur shop items i want.

New update out gives you amateur bucks for visiting friends and tapping fans.
Same as last Act, only it is 90 Actions instead of 50. 😉
I am only upgrading when I am short one player, because it instantly re-activates them. That only works a while, though. At the moment, I have one 4-star player, everyone else is lower, and it works just fine for me.
