Should I Spend Donuts On Simpson Laser Tag?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s getting sporty in Springfield!  With the 2015 Tap Ball Event loads of new sports related decorations and buildings have been introduced in our stores.  During Act 2 of the event Simpson Laser Tag has arrived in our stores. Now I know you may be trying to decide if this is worth YOUR donuts, but don’t sweat it!  We’re here to tell you what’s worth the donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add Simpson Laser Tag to YOUR Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this laser arena  to YOUR Springfield!

Building: Simpson Laser Tag
Donut Price:
145 Donuts
Earns:
$500, 45xp/24hrs
Size:
8×6
Conform-O-Meter Impact:
Consumerism +10

Pros
-Neat looking building, and from a fun “flashback” episode
-Adds to consumerism, one of the hardest areas to max out

Cons
-Does not pay out event currency
-VERY Pricey for what it is/does
-No questline associated with it
-No character tasks, one time or otherwise, associated with it

Final Thought:
Premium or Freemium:
This one is completely not worth it in my opinion.  It’s over priced, has no tasks associated with it, does not do anything to help you during Tap Ball & doesn’t even come with a questline.  Premium or Freemium players should pass on this one! (unless of course you just love the episode it comes from & just have to have it)

Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do and I can tell you I will be passing on this one.  In my mind, it’s just not worth it.  Whatever you decide, just remember it is limited time, so if you’re thinking about getting it make sure you do before Act 2 ends or you’ll miss your chance!

Simpson Laser Tag Leaves Our Stores on July 13th

  1. If it was 75 donuts, I would of bought it because I like laser tag. But that’s way to expensive for JUST a building.

  2. I can only imagine these buildings are for low-level players who need large cash injections to level-up during this event quickly. I have been tempted by the basketball stadium though… it looks cool and if you don’t complete the Burns part of the quest, do you in effect get another amateur task-earning quest with Bumblebee man?

  3. When is SIB coming out on the Basketball Stadium, and T-Ball stand? Only a few days left on those to make the decision.

  4. Did not get community donuts it toll me pick up your donuts but did not give it to me

Definite pass for me. For a little while, I thought about becoming a completionalist, but I just can’t do it. This is a fairly ugly building, and I don’t even remember this episode. And WAY too expensive for what it does (or doesn’t do). If it was maybe 50-70 donuts, maybe I’d have gotten it. Really, more appropriate as a prize.

  6. Bought it yesterday, and have the worst case of buyer’s remorse. Should have waited for the “Should I buy…”

  7. From now on i’m going to wait for these posts. Im so pizzed i blew 145 donuts for nothing really.

  8. Definite no for me, as others have said I would’ve been happy with it as a prize but I wouldn’t pay over 100 donuts for just a building.

  9. This one’s probably a good way for EA to gauge which players are completionists (if they actually bother to gather such metrics…). I can’t imagine took many non-completionists forking over that many donuts for this.

I agree with Gk3 that this would have made much more sense as a prize.

  10. Thanks for info Alissa. I had already decided to pass. Crazy expensive, no character with it, no interaction with event. I’ll save my sprinkles to help me & friends in current event. Kind of driving me crazy (crazier lol) that EA keeps throwing in items that have nothing to do with this event especially since it’s a big one.
Your advice is right on, as usual!

  11. I can’t even remember this building from the show.

  12. I’m thinking EA wants to see what people will pay for Consumerism.

  13. Hello fellow tappers ! Hey today’s my birthday ! I have a question has anyone had trouble with trying to purchase donuts ? I’ve played a scratch off and tried to buy 60 donuts for $4.99 twice and it never went through. I did however get my money refunded but I’m trying to get Jasper and the community center.

I had an update come through at around 12 BST that seemed like a new one since the one yesterday. I can’t see any changes, can anyone else?

    • I got that update too. They reverted the price of the balls to 500AB and removed the 1000AB consumer prize. They quickly saw the error of their ways and did another update that removed the last one around 1500 BST.

  16. Sorry I know it’s the wrong place to post but brandine has just had her 1st child. The kid seems to of disappeared 😕. Do they have an actual quest or anything? Thanks for any help.

    • No quest. They just roam around your town. They’re like moving buildings

    • She’s allowed three kids all up. They roam around and pay out some money. While they’re waiting to pay out some more money, you can tap on them for a cute animation 🙂

  17. Thanks OCD, have to have everything but that was crazy expensive. It also sucks that it’s limited time, I would have waited since it’s not at all in my budget right now. But I’d kick myself if I didn’t. I do like the way it fit in though.

  18. I’d love to have gotten it, maybe as a prize, but i’ll have to pass, even as a semi-premium player, if people are willing to pay that much good for them! (I have friends who’ve bought it, looks nice but…)

  19. Thanks! A definite pass for me.
