It’s getting sporty in Springfield! With the 2015 Tap Ball Event loads of new sports related decorations and buildings have been introduced in our stores. During Act 2 of the event we have the option of purchasing two decorations for our donuts. Now I know you may be trying to decide if any of these items are worth YOUR donuts, but don’t sweat it! We’re here to tell you what’s worth the donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Clay Stadium Set or the T Ball Stand to YOUR Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding these sport themed items to YOUR Springfield!
Decoration: Clay Stadium Set
Donut Price: 50 Donuts
What Does it Do?: Alternate skin for your Tap Ball Stadium. It does not give you another Stadium, it simply gives you an alternative look for your existing one.
If you purchase it it will change the appearance of everything related to the stadium (bleachers, lights, the field etc). You can toggle back and forth between the Clay option and the regular option via the Stadium entrance (just tap on it like you would a house to put the Christmas lights on)
My opinion on decorations has always been, if you like it get it. If you don’t pass. So I won’t be doing Pros and Cons on this.
Final Thought:
This one, for me, isn’t worth it from a practical stand point. It’s expensive for just a facade change to my stadium. It offers no bonus, not additional payouts and is really just for the look of it. In my mind, and my town, this is a pass.

Final Thought
As many of you know i’m a HUGE baseball fan. So for me, this one is a grab…just for my own personal love of Baseball. However, from a practical standpoint…this one is a pass. The bonus % isn’t nearly as high as it should be for something that cost 30 donuts. It offers no animation, no additional character tasks…so really, on a practical side, this is a pass.

I passed on the T-Ball Stand just because … meh.
However, I like the look of the Clay facade, so I ponied up the 50D.
The tie ball stand is a waste. It does nothing and is tiny.
Before the event I had ~500-700k of money, but in mid-event, it raised to 1m200k of money, and I had 56 donuts before the event, but after the 4th of July gift and Community donuts, I now have 80 donuts
But it still a mystery that Carl’s quest line is just have started after I built the Unemployment Office, which is a requirement of Kirk’s quest line.
I love the clay stadium and am always jealous when I see it in neighboring s-field’s!! Alas- I am too stingy to spend donuts on it…
My message about Chris Lane may not mean much to Americans; But he was gunned down in the USA whilst chasing his dream of a college scholarship & major league career.
I salute the young boy, grown to a man, who took a run & was shot in the back by thugs who were not worth breathing the same air.

I like JohnTappedOut’s idea of a batting cage for the T-ball stand. His idea is making me rethink on purchasing that item. My 3 adult daughters all play baseball, & have done since they were kids at Watsonia Baseball Club, here in Australia.

I’m a big baseball fan but the t-ball makes no contextual sense to me unless I create a baseball field which would be tough.
Not related to this post but we were suppose to get the 10 donuts community prize twice? I got it yesterday, and then again today. I’ve been away for a few weeks and missed a lot of posts so sorry if this has been mentioned already somewhere.

Maybe EA’s easy fix for the glitch that gave and then took away 10 donuts for some of us. Those that lost them got them back, and those that didn’t lose them got a second 10 donut community prize.
I got the clay stadium set. I had seen it in my neighbors town and I like it way better than the regular one.
I just finished hermans military antiques questline and to my suprise i received 3 donuts as the reward. Is this normal? If so, are there any other donut filled questlines? I also received my share of the community donuts twice, once lastnight then again today. I feel guilty.lol.If someone can let me know whats up id be most greatful! Happy tappin! Thanx addicts!

I really like the clay stadium skin, but can’t bring myself to spend the donuts for it. Wish it could be bought with Amateur Bucks or won as a prize. 🙁
An all wood stadium skin would be cool, too, and it would remind me of Waconah Park in Pittsfield, MA, where I first fell in love with minor league baseball. ❤⚾⚾❤
I had the luxury of playing intramural ball at Rickwood in Birmingham, Alabama. More brick than wood or clay, but still beautiful.

Pulled the trigger in the clay stadium as soon as it hit. Highly disappointed with it. Wish I could turn it back in and get my donuts back 😕 for some unknown reason I thought it would turn the field a different color along with everything else, as we know it doesn’t. It also looks kind of dull to me, lesson learned. Research a little more prior to spending my sprinkles.
Picked up the t-ball stand thou and created a little batting cage with some chain link fence. Happy with it. 😀
Scoring major donuts with the bonus hats, happy about that. Makes up for the bad purchase (clay field) a little.
I will wait until Act 3 to see if there’s another skin color available before even considering spending Donuts just to change the color of a decoration…. But unless its Solid Gold and costs 10 Donuts I’ll likely pass anyway. 🙂

I confess, I bought the clay stadium. I was going to pass on it, but the I saw I in a neighbor’s town and it looks so much nicer than the original stadium! It was definitely a luxury purchase, but I like it far more than the original.
I saw the Clay Stadium in a neighbor’s town and it really pops, the red stucco also reminds me of the city I’ve lived most of life in, current home to the Isotopes (that really is the baseball stadium and team name based on the Simpson episode, I helped vote it in)- Abq., NM. As Alissa says, ‘I like it, I’m getting it’!
