Tap Ball Prize Guide: Act 3, Prize 1 Testoster-zone

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Are you ready for some Tap Ball!? Tap Ball is the newest sensation sweeping the streets of Springfield.  A game invented by our very own Homer J Simpson!  In the Third “Act” of the Tap Ball Event you’ll unlock Ballet Ralph, Testosterzone and continue to challenge your friends and neighbors to some friendly Tap Ball competitions!

This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story.  To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act.  Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event.  For the Third Act you’re tasked with collecting Pennants (ico_june2015_pennants_01) to unlock each prize!  The First Act 3 prize awarded at 8,400 ico_june2015_pennants_01 is Testoster-zone, a bully’s paradise!

So let’s take a closer look at this sports zone and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield.

You’ll have the ability to place Testoster-zone in your Springfield immediately or place it in your inventory for later (store).  If you store it, remember you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it.

There is a little questline associated with this building, one that will unlock tasks for a few of your Springfield residents to earn more Amateur Bucks! (something we all could use these days…

Rage in a Cage
Nelson starts

Nelson: Testoster-Zone is open!  It’s a bully’s paradise — nerds with money as far as the eye can see!
Jimbo: I can’t wait to play the new “Bully Rush 3” machine — it’s so realistic, it’s like you ARE the bully.
Dolph: What are we waiting for?  Let’s intimidate some kids into giving us their money, then find out what it’s like to be a bully!
Make Bullies Steal Money from Nerds- x3. 4hrs, Earns 4 ico_june2015_amateurbucks_md, 45xp.  Can send Nelson, Jimbo, Dolph and Kearney.

Pro-Tip: You you start by only sending 2 you can maximize your earnings.  Send 2 characters, then send all 4 (if you have them).

Here are some quick facts about Testoster-zone:

Another building for your Springfield.  Aside from the initial set of tasks there, it will not earn Amateur Bucks.  But the nice thing is it does boost Consumerism…which is one of the hardest areas to max out!

What’s Next?
Next it’s onto 17,400 ico_june2015_pennants_01 and 1,000 Amateur Bucks:

We won’t have a post about the Amateur Bucks prize, because by now you should all know what they do.  So it’s a 1,000 buck boost to help you buy more prizes in the Amateur Shop!

So that’s it my friends the full breakdown on Testoster-zone!

  1. Got my Testosterzone Building up, sending all my Bully Kids to visit it (Quest time) 🙂

  2. I got lucky, the task didn’t clear immediately so I was able to send Dolph, Nelson and Kearney (I don’t have Jimbo) to do it again 🙂

  3. Love my neighbours … I am leaving balls in your court, please do the same!

  4. I’m buying all balls with my 1000 amateur bucks! bombardment!! Lol. I wonder how many I can throw into a town at once!

  5. What if we don’t have any Bullies?

  6. The Problem Child

    Springfield Arms awarded!

  7. Debate number two: to buy CrazyCat Lady or not to buy CCL? Without her voice “Aaarrarreeee!!!” I think the donuts are still too much. When I get Ballet Ralph I’ll have 3 complete TapBall teams anyway.

I don’t know if we are going to see a new Level Update tomorrow or not, and if not, I might just succumb.

    • I love her, but it’s hard to articulate why. She was just one of those characters I kept looking longingly at until I just had to get her. And I’ve never regretted my purchase! But, yes, I REALLY wish that she was voiced – I just have to hear it in my head, like I do when Sideshow Bob does his “Meet his raker” task.

  8. NoRosesNoSkies

    Just unlocked mine ^.^

  9. love this building, but it’s another one that looks better facing one way over the other. can’t really see the pitching machines in the batting cages when it is oriented facing the ocean.

    • Really? That’s a shame, because I was planning to move it down to the beach area, where I have my other “amusements.” 🙁

  10. Another consumerism building :). Once this finishes building I could be down to just two KEM and still have five stars. It wasn’t that long ago I needed ten or so.

  11. I wish they would have made the stadium skins available for purchase with amateur bucks.

    • That would have been great! I’d love to have the clay skin, but just can’t justify spending donuts for it.

  12. I just got a message saying my players have played 30 games. My friends arms must be tired. My players can’t play anymore today. I’ve never seen that message before. What does it mean? Thanks in advance for all your hard work.

  13. My question is: what are people attending to do with all those Ameture Bucks? I am not much into decor (game decor), nothing earns cash or XP. I’m maxed on vanity and have all 5 stars confirm-o-meter anyway. So I could buy Lots of Balls, or Obestade just to wake my players up to keep playing mulitple times to earn more Pennants to get my Ralph sooner.

just tell me what to do and I’ll do it! or take it in consideration and do the opposite. :b

    • Stephanie (sjcg425)

At this point, I’m just using them to buy balls for the community points.

    • Buy balls and leave them in friend towns, to boost community awards 🙂

    • Totbox,

I don’t see any need for Amateur Bucks (outside of sending soccer balls). I’m not even bothering upgrading my tap ball teams anymore. I don’t see the point!

    • I’m just saving them for now. I’m hopeful there might be some more things to spend them on as we go (even though it doesn’t look like it since the upcoming daily tasks don’t give place-able items).

If you use it on Obesotade then for $400AB (amateur bucks) you can get an extra match, which (assuming a win against a 4 star team) gives you $26AB and 110 pennants. So at just under 32 matches to earn 3500 pennants and at a cost of $374AB per extra match, you can get a donut bonus (once all prizes are earned) for $11,900AB. Not a great return considering you could get any of the following for about the same AB cost: 10 obstacles, 35 fences, 13 bleachers, 2 boxing video games…

Of course if you have 7 or 11 tap ball players then you can get an extra match with just one Obesotade, so now the cost per match is only $74AB and the cost for an extra donut bonus is only $2355AB. (If you are two or three characters off the cost is $5536AB and $8718AB, respectively). Since I’ll be at 11 characters once I get Ralph I might just do this for some bonus donuts after purchasing any items I want.

    • I’m holding off until the last moment and then I plan to buy some bleachers then after that maybe a light and some fencing. But *if* I were you I would put half in buying balls and the other half in Obestade, that way you could win more Amateur Bucks to buy more balls. That’s my two cents.

    • I’m saving them and plan to spend them on fencing towards the end. There’s nothing else i really want and there’s no point in buying only a couple of fences. Hopefully I’ll have enough to make a decent fenced in tap ball area.

  14. Springfield Arms lowered to 12.9 million

We should earn soon as our earning rate has jumped significantly.

  15. I love that there are pennants. I wish Homer had a task where he carried one. I’m a huge John Swartzwelder fan and anyone who’s watched the commentaries know the pennant was his joke that became a running gag. If yr not familiar with the most eccentric and prolific of The Simpsons writers, Wikipedia him. He’s written many of the most famous episodes, then check out his books. Start with “The Time Machine Did It” they’re so Simpsonsian in their humor you can almost hear the actor’s voices in yr head as you read.
