Random Changes Level 55

Hey there Hoppereenos!

Typical EA style… why not drop ANOTHER Level on us in the midst of an Event, cuz you all weren’t busy anyway, right? Lol.

Let’s take a peak at what the New Level 55 Changed in our silly lil games.

Herb_Powell

For the basics on Level 55 and the Rundown, see the post HERE.

WHY CAN’T I SEE THE NEW STUFF?

You have two things running in the game… XP Level and Game Play Levels. In order to move on to the New Content BOTH need to be in the same Level.

XP Level: This is at the bottom Left of your screen. This is ONLY the XP Counter. It will need to say Level 55 in order to see the New Content.

Level 55

Game Play Level: This is essentially the Walkthroughs. The Dialog you MUST complete with each Level to move on to the next. In other words, you will NOT be able to see Level 55 if you have not completed all the required prior Level Content before. So make sure you completed Level 52, 53, and 54 Walkthroughs in order to see Level 55.

Price of Donuts Part 1

You can use our Walkthroughs for each Level to see where YOU are at in Game Play and find out what you need to complete to move forward.

Walkthroughs

Now to the Random Changes….

First off, with another new level comes more new pricing. This means the top 8 Levels of the game have a mark up on the Buildings Costs as they are the “Newest” Levels. As you can see the top 2 and bottom 2 are the same, so you will not notice any changes for 2 Levels on these items.

Here is the Multiplier Tier Breakdown.

Level 55: 4X Cost
Level 54: 4X Cost
Level 53: 3X Cost

Level 52: 2X Cost
Level 51: 1.6X Cost
Level 50: 1.4X Cost
Level 49: 1.3X Cost
Level 48: 1.3X Cost
(Level 47-1: No Multiplier)

NEW BUILDING

Remember…the BASE price is indicated in Red.  The current price is in black. Don’t confuse the base price (in red) with the current price (in black). Base Price is the lowest possible cost you will pay for the Building… IF you wait until several more Levels are released and it moves down the Multiplier Tiers until there is no more Multiplier.

Current Price is what it will cost you RIGHT NOW in the game.

SKINNER GOT OLDER

As you all may have noticed with the new dialog between Skinner and his Mom, Skinner seems to be now showing his age.

Before: Old_Skinner

Now: Tapped_Out_Unlock_Skinner

So now anytime you see Skinner, or things associated with Skinner (like his Big Butt Balloon), you will notice a more aged Skinner.

MURDERHORN A BIT MORE MURDERY?

murderhorn_menu

Murderhorn was already a large and daunting looking Mountain, but now there is a bit more animation added to it that may cause anyone below a lil headache. Lol. A rolling rock slide now starts at the top of the Mountain and rolls down grabbing some larger chunks as it goes down the back side of the Mountain. Look out below!!

MORE DRUNKS?

moes

Looks like a few more Characters are now a part of the “Bar Flies” Group that will come into play for some of the questline tasks (like The Price of Donuts Part 4). It now includes the following…
Lou
Eddie
Mindy
Luann
Disco Stu
Sanjay

DON’T SELL IT!

thehappysumo_menu

It seems EA is trying to help Players to prevent “Accidentally” selling some Premium Buildings in the game. (I think selling Premiums is a waste anyway, unless of course you got it completely for free… but still… a waste to me.)

Here are the following items that you can no longer sell…
The Hungry Hun
Frink’s Lab
Duff Brewery
Volcano Lair
School Bus
Barney’s Bowlarama
Krustylu Studios
Sleep Eazy Motel
Rancho Relaxo
The Happy Sumo
Florence of Arabia
Lovejoy Residence
Beer-N-Brawl
Cracker Factory
Springfield YMCA
Malibu Stacy HQ
Lotto ‘N’ Liquor
Unfinished Shed
Preparatory School
Stu’s Disco
Rocket Car
Powers House
Apu’s Appartment

TRADE DONUTS FOR IN GAME CASH

This was introduced a few Levels back, but I will continue updating it for the newest Levels. These are the options as of Level 55.

First it’s important to note that the higher the level you are the more cash you’ll get for your donuts.

Tapped_Out_Grind_Pack_1 – $13,000 will cost you 9 Donuts

Tapped_Out_Grind_Pack_2– $65,000 will cost you 30 Donuts

Tapped_Out_Grind_Pack_3 – $156,000 will cost you 65 Donuts

Tapped_Out_Grind_Pack_4 -$260,000 will cost you 100 donuts

Tapped_Out_Grind_Pack_5 – $780,000 will cost you 285 Donuts

Tapped_Out_Grind_Pack_6 – $1,560,000 will cost you 550 Donuts

Tapped_Out_Grind_Pack_7 $3,120,000 will cost you 1,000 Donuts

Money Safe 1600 Donuts to Cash$5,200,000 will cost you 1600 Donuts

Again this will vary depending on your level.  The above numbers reflect it if you’re on Level 55.  As you increase your level over level 9 you’ll start to increase the payout for each one.  We won’t go into too much detail with this because we honestly do not encourage you to do this in your games. It is a waste. Do not spend donuts for in game cash…it’s just not worth it (at any level).

Now for that one thing we will continually keep reminding you to check 😉

CONFIRM DONUT SPENDdonut-loadingAnd of course, your constant reminder (as we ALWAYS get comments on this)…check that Confirm Donut Spend. NO ONE wants to lose donuts on accidental sped up tasks or purchases. The new menu, you will find this in any menu by tapping the cog wheel in the top right corner. (You can also reset your sound from here.)

Off

Confirm Donut Notification and Sound Volume

ON

Confirm Donut Spend

Got some technical issues from the new update that we were unable to help with? Try the usual Basic Troubleshooting, and if you need more help…contact EA.

So there are a few random changes. I am still looking to see if anything more pops ups. I will update this post if I do. What do you think of the new stuff? Any changes you see that we have not listed? Let us know.

  1. Where did skinners 8 hours (drinking at moe’s – I think) go?
He doesn’t have an 8 hour any longer….

    • Make sure you’re looking at the right skin…

      • It is for skinner with grey hair and moe’s is “open”. Went in and checked again and the task was not there. Then I tried storing the school and ta da skinner can now drink at moe’s again…. Some wired stuff going on in Springfield sometimes 😉

  2. shawtymclittle

    I knew Skinner looked different!

  3. If the game freezes at round 5 of a tap ball game. The only way to continue is to hard close the gae and restart.

  4. I (thankfully) didn’t know selling premium buildings was possible & am glad they changed it. Some of the decor I wish they might unlock sales on though. But anything which costs donuts to replace would really upset me. Unless it paid in donuts!!! 😀

  5. In-game I just assumed they faded the Skinner image but looking at them together here they are two different drawings. Really minor tweaks so I am wondering if it was a different artist? I know the the images in the show have changed over time but I’m curious what the motivation was, especially since they pointed it out. Any ideas?

I’m glad about not being able to sell premium buildings. Two weeks ago, I left my game open because of an emergency with my toddler, came back and found my three-year old son happily tapping my game. He had sold my Duff Stadium. I contacted EA and they restored it for me. Thank goodness. As a mom of small children, I appreciate this change. 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦

    • Well I guess I shouldn’t be annoyed my son likes to buy stuff! That’s easier to live with. Good to know EA can fix that though. I bet it happens a lot. I can totally remember being a kid & watching the Simpsons episode where they take their therapy refund & buy the new TV & thinking my parents aren’t the only crappy parents? I will be so much better & never use the TV to keep my kids busy. Yeah…… That didn’t happen. I would not be surprised if my 4yr old hugged the TV/phone/iPad. Lol

  7. Am i the only only one who noticed that u can’t place pavement under the buildings? Tried to pave some space unde buildings from gmo expack and failed..

  8. At least in my game they seem to have introduced a bug: since the level upgrade hit I occasionally can’t access the event menu by either bottom row or upper right buttons. And even if I access it via tapping on the stadium, there are many things that I can’t do, like select player for a match. Only a hard reset of the game helps when it happens.

    • That’s been happening to me off and on since tap ball hit. Usually going to krustyland and back helps clear it

    • yup, same here. been happening rather frequently when i first open the app. like alissa said, it fixes itself when i go to krustyland or go to visit neighbors and come back. it actually made some of the event earning tasks that have completed stick in the task menu, allowing me to set the characters on the same task another time… like ended up setting the bullies on a third round of tasks at testosterzone.

  9. I’m not sure where to ask this, but is there any way to know what hypothetical level you’re at beyond the max? Can you tell based off your XP needed?

    Thanks in advance!

    • You would use how many times you hit the bonus game. But with each new level it resets so you need to max it out again for the next level.

  10. Enough Surprises in Level 55 to keep most Tappers occupied post Tap Ball Event 😉

  11. You forgot that the color of the Simpsons’ house windows has changed to a darker color. 😉

    • That’s because it’s so subtle…it’s one of those, “Really? Why bother?” changes. There a loads of changes we don’t mention, like character groups changing etc..because they’re not relevant to the common player. We try to go with the big changes and stuff that’s relevant in the moment (like the barflies group)

  12. I’m guilty of accidentally selling a premium item but luckily it was a free one. I meant to put my bonsai tree in my inventory and sold it instead. Its crazy how little money premium items sell for in our little game of ours.

  13. In addition to giving Skinner gray hair, I also noticed that they gave him a “marionette” line (I feel for him on that…I can relate). I liked the old (younger-looking) Skinner better, but at least people won’t be as confused about him being in the Seniors group as I said when I first saw that!

    • Skinner isn’t in the Seniors group, that’s Flanders in that category when you asked (and I told you he was 60). 😉

      • Oh, you’re right! (I miss having a younger brain. 🙁 )

So now I don’t know why they turned Skinner grey…

        • lol i’ve got pregnancy brain and it’s no picnic let me tell you. Usually have great recall and can remember everything, now if I don’t put it on a post it note (and remind myself to LOOK at the post it notes) I completely forget it. My office looks like a sea of post its…

      • Speaking of Senior and pregnant brains.. I have been searching these diffrent threads trying to find my comment about how going to Krustyland helps move the task nonprogressing-Glitch… I’m neither a senior nor pregnant (well as far as I know I’m not) 😮

Huh, the New Moon was on Wednesday.. I don’t know what my problem is.. Maybe sleep depravation or maybe Sympathy Memory loss :p

  14. I wonder if there’s a way of trading in game cash for donuts? That’d be pretty sweet.

  15. Ordinarily Bob

Ah! I didn’t remember the Murderhorn having an avalanche when I first bought/placed it, then last night I was showing it to someone and first noticed the animation. So it’s new with the patch? Very cool!

Now, if only they’d keep Homer’s quest as a permanent task…

  16. Wow 46 tasks in the screenshot, and you call yourself an addict not even doing tasks tsk tsk 😀 lol

  17. does the angel fossil come with any conform-o-meter or % bonus effects?

  18. Forgot friend prize. The angel skeleton

  19. Lyingcake4648

If you try to store Apu, it will store all the Kwikemarts in your town now, instead of just one

    • Same with Krusty and krustyburger. That’s been like that for a while as far as I know.

      • Oh, Because I have a lot of Kwikemarts but when I stored Apu to get him to work on daily training earlier in the event it only stored one of them. This time, it stored every single one in my town

  20. when i reached level 47 i had all the aspirational things bar the fortress of choclitude, sit n rotate and the world’s biggest zirconia. i decided then to start saving for them seeing as their price never changes. that was in january…it is no July and i am 3M away from earning the zirconia to complete the aspirational line up. i am now 8 levels behind but these buildings are so much cheaper now that i will be able to purchase them within a day when i finally finish. it has been a long haul, but im glad i did it!
