It’s getting sporty in Springfield! With the 2015 Tap Ball Event loads of returning sports related decorations and buildings have returned to our stores. During Act 3 of the event we have the option of purchasing several decorations from events past for our donuts. Now I know you may be trying to decide if any of these items are worth YOUR donuts, but don’t sweat it! We’re here to tell you what’s worth the donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Strongman Homer, the Duff Blimp, or Excellence Prize Statue to YOUR Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding these comeback items to YOUR Springfield!
Character/Costume: Strongman Homer
Donut Price: 50 Donuts
Pros:
-Premium skin for Homer
-Does have a 12hr Amateur Buck Earning Task
-Returning item from Halloween 2013
-Some funny outdoor animations
Cons
-Was originally free
-It’s for Homer, the man of 1,000 costumes…
-Amateur Buck earning task isn’t that great considering Referee Homer (whom we all got for free) earns them too
Final Thought:
Premium or freemium…
Unless you’re extremely upset because you missed this one and you’ve been feeling like it’s the only thing missing from your town…I’d pass on it. Homer has so many costumes (including many premium ones), that this (in my opinion) just isn’t worth the donuts on any level.

Decoration: Duff Blimp
Donut Price: 60 Donuts
Size: 3×3
Bonus %: From what I can tell this does not earn a bonus % at this time
Conform-O-Meter: Vanity +200
Unique: Yes, only 1 per Springfield
Does it Do Anything: Just a decoration, but it does have animation when tapped. It’ll look like it’s hovering when not tapped, and when tapped the sign lights up flashing “Don’t Drink & Fly”
My opinion on decorations has always been, if you like it get it. If you don’t pass. So I won’t be doing Pros and Cons on this.
Final Thought
From a practical standpoint…this one is a pass. This was originally free back during Super Bowl 2014, and I think it bring it back for 60 donuts (without a bonus %) just isn’t worth it. In my opinion this is a pass.

Not a bad buy if it’s something you’ve been wanting. 20 donuts and has a .50% bonus, not the greatest but not awful. If it’s something you’ve been eyeing in a neighbor’s town now’s your chance to pick it up.

I got the statue because I’ve always wanted it. If I didn’t have the party bus already I might get it because it’s such a cool decoration, I would definitely go with that one over the blimp if you’re trying to pick one.

Literally every event comes with a new costume for Homer. I think I have 8 Homer costumes. Maybe 9, my favorite is Cool Homer because he rides his bike and has a fedora. It’s pretty hipster, I love it. Homer and Lisa have the most I think.

Thanks for this 😀I won’t spend donuts on the strongman skin now I know it doesn’t justify donuts, I’ve only been playing since the last day (I think) of the 2015 Valentine’s event, so I only have 2 skin’s + regular homer but I’m guessing plenty more will come my way!
Figured I’d ask this on the most recent post, I just unlocked Tap Dance Ralphie and I was wondering if he has a questline? I would think he does but I’m not getting one, does someone else need to be free besides Ralph himself? (Btw I know it’s technically Ballet Ralph but he’s obviously in his tappa tappa tappa outfit lol)

I picked up the Excellence Prize Statue, been coveting that since I came across it in a neighbor’s town late last year. It is to bad its percent wasn’t a hair higher, not a super buy but not a bad one either. I figured I would splurge a little seeing as how I really didn’t find much that grabbed my fancy this event.
Tapped Out Cinemas: Homer Simpson reprises Dana Carvey’s iconic role in Master of Disguise 2 See Homer as a Stonecutter, a Strongman, a Referee, a Superhero and many more. Special appearances by the rest of the Simpsons family, and cameo by Spiderpig. Running 3 hours 50 minutes coming to a tablet near you 😀
