Friendship Level 16: Unlocking the Angel Fossil

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers,

How are my favorite Addicted Tappers doing today?   Racking up those FP’s by visiting your neighbors?  Just a reminder, remember to help out your fellow neighbors and clear those handshakes!  Are you in need of more Tapping Friends?  Remember you can always find friends on our Add Friends Page (and here for ones who pledge not to vandalize you)…the best (and only way) to submit your Add Me requests on TSTO Addicts!

So with the Level 55 Update EA gave us the 16th Social Currency Event Prize…the Angel Fossil!  An all new item for your Springfield!  So now my friends let’s break down this 16th Friendship Prize.  Just want to remind you all with this update it’s important to remember to SLOW DOWN.  There’s no rush to get the FP’s, so take your time and enjoy it!  🙂

Anywho…the Angel Fossil is unlocked once you’ve unlocked the Canyonero AND earned an additional 5,000FP…so many of you have either just unlocked it or should be unlocking it sometime in the next few days (depending on how many friends you have).  So what happens when you unlock this Fossil?  Does it do anything?  Are there tasks for it?  What about a questline?  Well let’s answer all of your questions by taking a closer look at the Angel Fossil now…

Angel_Fossil

Once you’ve completed Friendship Level 15 and earned an additional 5,000 FP you’ll unlock the Angel Fossil and you’ll see this message popup:

2015-07-20 20.27.17

You can also unlock this via Donuts at a rush rate 500 donuts if you have 0 FP.

Once you return to your Springfield you’ll find the Angel Fossil in your Inventory. You will have to go into your inventory to unlock it completely.  It will not automatically be in your Springfield.

2015-07-20 20.28.07

The Angel Fossil is another decoration for Springfield.  Much like other decorations it won’t do much.  It does have animation when tapped, the lights will twinkle and the candles will flicker.  It’s 3×4 in land space and it will also improve your Vanity rating on the Conform-O-Meter.  Once placed some dialogue from Flanders and Lisa will popup:

Flanders: Isn’t it glorious?  It’s like a missing link between man and angels!
Lisa: I thought you didn’t believe in evolution…
Flanders: Oh, I do, but only when it supports my viewpoint.

And that’s basically it for the Angel Fossil.  No additional dialogue, no questlines and no tasks associated with it.  Pretty much the animated lights it all it really has to offer (besides the nostalgia factor).

Now that you’ve completed Level 16 and gotten your last Friendship prize, what’s next?  Well it’s onto Level 17.  What does that mean exactly?  Basically the same thing it meant before only a level higher.  You won’t accumulate more points (no FPs will pop out of buildings when you visit friends, or when you clean spray paint in your town, or when you clear handshakes in your Springfield)  instead EA has come up with a different way to encourage you to keep visiting your friends:

level6

Yes, that says TRIPLE the money.  Which means…you’ll earn $90 per friend interaction when visiting neighbors, or $270/neighbor.  Talk about a good way to earn some extra $$$.  If you have 100 neighbors that’s $27,000/day you can earn JUST from visiting your friends!  Pretty sweet huh?  Before you know it that Escalator to Nowhere will be all yours!

PLUS…FREE DONUTS!  Once you max out your FPs and unlock the last prize you’ll have a chance to win DONUTS every time you visit neighbors and tap, tap, tap!  So be sure to continue with those visits and earn those free donuts!

Well that’s in my Friends.  What do you think of the Angel Fossil making it to the game?  Have you unlocked it yet?  Did you earn it via FP or did you spend donuts to get it faster?  Were you excited they added it to the game?   Sound off in the comments below…you know we love hearing from you!

  1. Ugh more religion bashing… Almost as bad as the bible beaters.

Sorry to hear you are a CP supporter Pardieu. Maybe someday we’ll share our fourth place trophy with you?

    • Hehehe.
Selhurst born, bred, schooled and proud, mate.
As long as we finish anywhere above plucky little Brighton and Hove Albion then I’m happy.

  2. Crystal Palace F.C supporter and season ticket holder as well.

    So that confirms I’m right.

Me son’s Palace too. And by virtue of meself and his mum, who provided the womb, is also a season ticket holder.
    So I’m doubly right.

  3. Decoration is more welcome than another NPC (I may store the Angel Fossil til Xmas) 🙂

  4. Always been fond of a tunnel, me.

    Ooh-er. Here I go again.

  5. Why do I now have a big tunnel, on the Lhs side through the mountains? There is a furniture store there?

  6. Just got the Angel Fossil this evening but I’ve now had to stop my neighbour visits as some of my neighbours have a newer update than me. EA certainly aren’t giving us much downtime! (Now off to read the new post :D)

  7. Update just hit and we can see what will the new land look like – im extremely exicted since this also fits with how i was molding my town already!!!

  8. FP handshakes sounds really rude where I come from.
    Discuss.

And by the by, I’ve only just recently acquired a plethora of neighbours….I love the word ‘plethora.’ Buggered if I know what it means but it looks good.
Anyways, I digress. I’m still trying to get hold of the black box.

    That sounds rude too..
    Discuss……ted.
I’ve just realised….I’m a walking talking English innuendo.

  9. I’m not sure but I think the takedown update introduced some glitches with spray painting

If anyone is able to confirm that.

  10. I just got my Angel Fossil, I think it fits really nicely with my spooky house 🙂
Getting it was a bit of a trial though, after the update/tap-ball-removal the game keeps crashing when visiting friends.

  11. When or if I ever get it I probably will put it in front of the mall lol like in the episode.

  12. As an Englishman I’m not overly keen on The Bosch.

Don’t mind the SS uniform mind.
    But only at weekends.

  13. You think he was a big jerk face? Just you wait til Liz pops her jewel encrusted clogs and we get lumbered with big eared Charlie!

    Inbreds the lot of em.

    German of origin too.

  14. Does the Angel fossil sing? I would love to hear Homer’s song from the episode when i tapped it! “See the Angel, It’s my Angel, nobody else’s!”

  15. We gave youse lot the Inglish langwage.
    Treet it wit respeck.

    Innit blud.

  16. Looks like an eye sore to me. Not all that excited to get it.

  17. Oh and apologise.

  18. Only kiddin’ witcha. I love you Yanks.
Me and mine were back over in Florida in May.

    We love your country.
Not your spelling of the words through, aluminium or neighbour though.
    😉

  19. Good evening/morning/afternoon (delete according to timezone) from the UK. Is the problem with the game crashing when you visit neighbours a widespread thing? Also, I’m not getting FP from neighbour handshakes in my town; is this a permanent change or have I misremembered that this was actually a thing that happened previously?

Much obliged, and keep up the good work 🙂

  20. Somewhat missed opportunity, could have had an animation, at the end of the episode it came from, didn’t the Angel Fossil turn into something else entirely? Maybe not so easy to animate in the game though

    • Meh just thought back to the episode it came from, and didn’t change, just turned out to be something unexpected, didn’t actually move or change shape, was moved physically. (Don’t want to give spoilers for those that may not have seen the episode lol)

  21. I have a confession to make.
I have gained many neighbours (Americans, please note the correct spelling of the word ‘neighbours’. ) through (Americans, please note the correct spelling of the word ‘through.’ ) this site.
However, earlier this morning when I was visiting neighbours, I inadvertently tapped a spray can. I have been inconsolable all day. Mistake or not. And for this I apologise (Americans, please note the correct spelling of the word ‘apologise’. ) No zed.
Just one more thing. The word ‘aluminium. Americans pronounce it phonetically as Al-Loo-Min-Um. Well this annoys me a tad.
    It’s Al-Yoo-Min-E-Um.

Thanking you for for time and patience in these matters.

    Xxxx.

    • Sure just insult Americans…I see how it is. 😉

    • Canadian here, its still Neighbors to me 😀

    • Thank You! The American way of spelling annoys me too! Its like, after they gained independence they went ‘How can we rub it in the English peoples faces? I know, we’ll change how to spell certain words! That will show them!’ And now cause spell check is predominantly American the rest of us suffer!
Sorry Americans, all in good fun! By the way though, i do have lecturers at uni that penalise us if we use American spelling! Such as using z’s!

      • Well the king was a big jerk face… 😉

      • It is true that we changed our spelling on purpoise. 😉 I believe it was Noah Webster (of Webster’s Dictionary) that spearheaded these changes. You’re welcome, the rest of the world.

    • NotYourAverageAmerican

You are correct, it is aluminium. IUPAC (The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry) officially standardized on aluminium in 1990. This is why it is technically speaking incorrect to use aluminum in academic papers. However, we Americans are awfully pig-headed and refuse to change anything. It’s why we still use the imperial system for measurement instead of the vastly more logical and superior metric (except in science and medicine).
