Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Well…looks like Springfield Heights has hit our tapping devices!
This is an in-game update, so nothing to download from the App Store (unless you didn’t remove Tap Ball yet).
As always we’ll be back with more…but for now know that Mr. Burns starts things off.
Also, it looks like you have to be at least Level 30 to start this expansion.
And from what I can see so far…the expansion looks similar to Squidport…just beyond the mountains, no new screen (like Krustyland)
Details below the fold…
Images will be coming…going through content first. Updating this post as I go so keep checking back frequently for updates.
First thing you’ll be prompted with, after some dialogue from Mr. Burns, is to Build Burns Slant-Drilling Co (7×10 in size). It is free (and takes 6s).
You’ll then be prompted (again from Mr. Burns) to build Red Blazer Realty (7×7 in size)…unlocking Cookie Kwan! And Red Blazer Realty is FREE…. (also a 6s build)
Cookie will then start the next part…HERE is where you’ll clear a Tunnel to Springfield Heights.
This will require Homer. (and takes 6s)
Once you’ve cleared the Tunnel you’ll unlock Springfield Heights (and again…it’s part of Main Springfield. No screen changes)…
And here’s the basic Guild to Springfield Heights…
First thing you’ll see once you open up Springfield Heights is the Furniture Shop (this will already be on the land). The Furniture shop is where you’ll produce Furniture (currency for Springfield Heights) to continue to build/upgrade Springfield Heights.
You’ll have to send various characters on jobs to produce furniture.
And you’ll need furniture to produce a Deluxe Condo (which is the next part of the questline). A Deluxe Condo requires 2 pieces of Furniture, and takes 2 minutes to build.
Ok at this point you’re going to unlock several things….first you’ll see that Red Blazer Realty is the “hub” for prizes during this expansion. Did you notice on the Guide it said to Accumulate Real Estate Points for exclusive prizes. Those Prizes are all at Red Blazer Realty…
So now let’s break down some of the nitty gritty…
First thing you’ll notice once you’re in Springfield Heights is..Cash is not accepted! Strange huh? Rich section of town. No cash. Nope, this you’ve got to work to earn all new currency and various forms of it. Which is kind of nice because now everyone is on the same playing field….
So just what is the new currency? There are several forms..
Furniture- Get from the Furniture Shop.
The Furniture Shop is free, and the first building that will be unlocked for you in Springfield Heights.
Coffee- Get from the Coffee Shop.
The Coffee Shop is Free and you’ll unlock it as you expand your land in Springfield Heights.
Smart Device- From Springfield Heights Institute of Technology.
Springfield Heights Institute of Technology is Free and you’ll unlock it as you expand your land in Springfield Heights
Yoga Mat- From LA Body Works
LA Body Works is free and you’ll unlock it as you expand your land in Springfield Heights
Pills- From Pharm-ER John’s Pharmaceuticals
Pharm-ER John’s Pharmaceuticals is free and you’ll unlock it as you expand your land in Springfield Heights
Gold Award- From Springfield Heights Theater
Springfield Heights Theater is free and you’ll unlock it as you expand your land in Springfield Heights.
So currency (one form of the above) is used for everything in Springfield Heights. From buying land, buying items in the shop, upgrading buildings…everything.
Storage
Many are commenting wanting to know how to get more storage for Furniture, Coffee Cups, Smart Devices etc…
Well it’s simple, you unlock more characters. Under locked characters in each building you’ll see it says increases Storage. Here’s an example from the Coffee Shop with Lisa:
As you can see in the circled area, if you unlock Lisa it’ll increase your Coffee Storage by 30. In the top right corner, where the arrow is pointing, that shows your current storage. So if you increase it by 30 as it sits your overall storage will be 50. Make sense?
Note: You may need to increase your Real Estate Rating to unlock the ability to unlock the character for more storage. Look at Grampa in the image above, you see how it says requires 2,250,000 Real Estate? You need to achieve that level before you can unlock the ability to unlock Grampa and increase your storage.
So the key to getting more storage? Unlocking more characters in that area.
Real Estate Points
Think of this as XP for Springfield Heights. Real Estate Points look like this 
and are earned in various ways. You’ll earn them for completing the questline, buying items in the store, etc. And just like XP it’s cumulative. So you won’t spend it, instead you’ll building it up.
So what’s it for? You’ll use accumulate Real Estate Points to unlock prizes at Red Blazer Realty (See images above). Real Estate Points will also unlock more characters to complete tasks for currency. Using the Coffee Shop again as an example, you’ll see that Grampa requires 2,250,000 in order to unlock the ability to unlock him to do the tasks at the Coffee Shop:
Real Estate Points are also used to unlock more items in the store. As you earn more, you’ll unlock more items in the store to purchase.
The Store
Loads of stuff in the store for Springfield Heights…
And the cool things are items are interchangeable with Springfield. So you can put Springfield Heights items in Regular Springfield and Springfield buildings in Springfield Heights.
As mentioned above, more items will unlock as you earn more Real Estate Points…

Classy Fountain- 5 (+22.5K )
Classic Mansion- 10 (+300k )
Valet Parking- 1o (requires 1.85 million ) (+400K )
Modern Mansion- 25 (Requires 6.2 million ) (+600K )
Business Center- 20 (Requires 3.75 million ) (+500k)
Classic Garden- 10 (Requires 1.85 Million ) (+30k )
Fancy Tree- 5 (Requires 2.5 Million ) (+15k )
Jet Ski- 200 (Requires 3 million ) (+300k )
Modern Awning- 50 (Requires 6.2 million ) (+150K)
Fancy Gold Tree- 200(Requires 10 million ) (+300k )
Gold Palm Tree- 150 (Requires 8 million ) (+200k )

More will unlock as the weeks unfold….
When Does it End?
This is a permanent expansion…so it doesn’t end. Take your time, go slow and have fun. It’ll still be here in a couple weeks! Heck it’ll still be here in a couple of months! So pace yourself and remember to have fun.
What I can tell you is it looks like new content is planned to release each week for the next several weeks. So MORE stuff should be added to the store etc as each week unfolds. Should be fun!
Squidport Tiles
The previous limitations on Squidport Tiles have been lifted and you can now create MORE Squidport Tiles if you’re maxed out! So get to expanding those boardwalks…
Update: You can create 50 more tiles than the previous max. However, if you’re seeing it say you cannot create more tiles…think back and try to remember if you used the tile glitch in the past. If you did, it’s likely you’re already more than 50 tiles over the previous limitation, so it won’t let you create more.
Springfield Heights Tunnel
It’s kind of in an awkward spot for many of you. As of right now it CANNOT be moved. That doesn’t mean it won’t be able to be moved in the future, but for right now you cannot move it.
And that’s it for now my friend! We’ll break all the details down in more specific individual posts, so for those still confused be on the look for those. But all the basics are in this post…hopefully it’ll help get a lot of you rolling with it!

I’m need to expand my Springfield heights to get the marketing agency but it’s not showing the option to expand anymore even though I haven’t reached the full capacity. Where it usually has the box with the picture of how many items you need to unlock it, nothing appears

my yoga mats are capped at 10 yand i need 15, every other mat is around 100 where I can get more yoga mats inventory? =(

Go to the MAIN Inventory Screen, then start scrolling through every item watching out for them. Don’t go into the individual tabs.

If I have enough items to unlock someone’s job but I do not have that person in my town yet when I unlock their job do I get them too? ( in my case it is the last guy on the coffee shop) I have enough to unlock him but I don’t have him. I don’t want to waste my things if I don’t get him when I unlock his job. Thanks 🙂

Visiting Krustyland and return to Springfield might do the trick.
Do you know if the Heights is apart of your springfield rating?
It’s all Springfield. Only separation is Krustyland and you have to completely leave to go there.

How do I find the flying car? I received it but cannot find it. Help!!
Check your inventory. Make sure you go the popup saying you unlocked it, and then it’ll be in your inventory.
I’m having the same problem currently. I have the pop-up that says I’ve earned the Flyig car but there’s nothing to click on and it’s not in my inventory 🙁

What level does Springfield heights start? I have a couple of friends I recruited into the game and they are bummed their tunnel isn’t available for them yet… But they are having fun with th Monorail Update 😆
Level 30. And that is Game Play Level ie Walkthroughs complete. Not just XP level. 😉

XP level 31? Or actual Game Play Level 31? Game play is critical. It’s your completed walkthroughs. Are you done with those for all the Levels up to 30?

Anyone having trouble purchasing SH items? They aren’t in my store anymore.
Open the store. then swipe right on the little yellow arrow to open everything up. You’ll see the SH menu on the top right.

Can’t store Springfield heights stuff any more. Now I have 40 plus buildings with more upgrade and a monorails. Help please let us store these building!!!!
EA’s disabled them. Not sure if it’s temporary or permanent. My guess is it’s a temporary thing so they can fix the glitch that causes buildings to disappear when you store them. But we’re not EA so we’re not 100% certain that’s why…

Most of my friends’ towns’ are very rich and I am barely there. Those people must spend donuts? So basically in this update all I need to do is make sure my springfielders are constantly doing jobs? I’m a little confused and read both articles. Any advice?
To get ahead… it takes lots and lots of diligent tapping. Doesn’t necessarily mean they spent donuts… definitely means they’ve spent time. I am at almost 200 mil and that’s do to with watching TV with my game open to earn currency. Not too worry though, as this is an expansion, it’s not going anywhere so you have plenty of time to earn everything.
I want to see how much furniture I have.. How do I do that?

My pharmer-joes is stuck at 10/20. I unlocked it to be able to earn more but when they finish the job it doesn’t add any more pills to it? Any idea of how I can get it to fix as I can’t do any of the things requiring more than 10 pills. Thank in advance!
Stop trying to earn more til you up your storage. You have to unlock the next Character. Each one increases your storage.

But she said her thing says “10/20,” so shouldn’t she be able to get at least 10 more pills without having to increase storage? I think that was her point (and one I’m curious about, too, since I’m hoping to reach that point in the game reasonably soon, myself).
Another case of a comment skipping replies. This was in regards to someone looking for how to Upgrade their Building and couldn’t send Characters on tasks anymore. They didn’t have enough Storage to do so.
In regards to this comment. Double check to ensure the Pills are not being used for an alternate item, like Character Tasks, Building Upgrades, Land Purchase, etc. If you are legitimately missing items… contact EA.

I love SH but ive been so enthusiastic with my tapping and upgrading that most of my buildings are now on level 3 or 4. I’ve not left any at level 1 and have maxed out to the numbers allowed for some of them! I seriously regret not leaving some at levels 1 or 2 to give some variation. I’ve tried deleting them (selling them so I buy them again), but it seems it’s not allowed. Is it likely that the max numbers allowed for each type of building will be increased?? Amy ideas on how to get some of them back to level 1 or 2??
They most likely will not be increased, and you can’t get them back to lower levels once you’ve moved up
Thanks for the reply. That’s a shame. Not sure how to get to billionaire heaven without increasing levels of buildings but having them all the same isn’t terribly interesting. Perhaps EA haven’t thought of that.

Check your inventory.
Nope, not there. On the Red Blazer Real Estate screen the lock has disappeared but there is no tick next to the picture.
That means you didn’t earn it. When you earn it you’ll get a popup telling you you’ve earned it. See the bar at the bottom of that box? With the blue? That tells you how far you have to go until you earn it…
I too am having an issue with the flying car? It hasn’t appeared in my inventory yet? Have you figured out how to get it?
I’ve that once you update the condo to it’s max, it glitches out and disappears when I scroll to the top of it. Any way to fix this?
Try uninstall/reinstall.

As you scroll past the tall buildings, they disappear by design to reveal the area behind them. They should reappear as you scroll back.

You need more Real Estate Points to unlock more characters to increase your storage.

Hello! Got back from vaca last night and was surprised to find all this new stuff! I played a little but was just too tired to focus. I’ve got a LOT of post reading to catch up on! The entrance showed up right behind my Springfield sign, womp, but I’ve got ideas already for some redesign! Love that stuff is interchangable because I’ve got a few things in Springfield that I’ve always felt never fit, now they have a home. Better get to opening up all that land! Only negative so far is that I’m pushing the limit with my max items 😕😕😕 I wish they could do something about that. But I’m still excited!

Does anyone know how to get the road to line up with the entrance to Springfield Heights? It’s one square off in my town, but in some of my neighbors’ towns it’s dead on. It looks terrible.
Have you cleared the tunnel?
It seems to me that mine was one block off and when I cleared the tunnel it lined up perfectly by itself.
Yeah, it’s like the 2 ends of the tunnel are offset. I put a road going in from regular Springfield and 1 coming out in the Heights but I can’t tell if the 1 in the Heights is actually into or lined up with the tunnel since there is no way to see it from that side. But aligning the 2 roads with the tunnel ends definitely brings out that the tunnel ends seem to be offset.
they are offset because the tunnel is supposed to be going uphill (to springfield heights) to give the illusion that SH is elevated higher than the rest of springfield. therefore, it’s designed for you to align the roads with the tunnel ends.
It’s an illusion. Roads are 4 grid squares wide and the tunnel is 5 squares wide. Brilliant, right? I would have thought the tunnel would be 6 wide and straight, but I’m just a user. 🙂
Actually, I got that roads are five wide and the tunnel is five wide. They line up perfectly. They didn’t until I cleared the tunnel (task), but do now.
Banana Dictatorship adds to you towns value if moved does anything else, also if you had not bought or earned it previously it is available limited time again. I am loving this update! Springfield Heights is amazing! Two things I’m confused about…how to actually build the Classic Mansion, and the seeming paradox of the pills vs the yoga mats. I earn one, lose the other in order to earn more of one, am just focusing now on the mats, as there seems to be more available updates for that item, at the moment. Thank you for all your help! Was terribly confused the first day, but am in full swing now!
