Hey there Hoppereenos!
With all the New Additions and items added to our games for Springfield Heights, it can be difficult to keep track of what each individual item has to offer you in the game.
In this post, we are going to be taking a look at some of the Buildings that you can Upgrade to not only add to the look of your town, but to also help you with Real Estate Points to unlock even MORE items. Buildings like Deluxe Condos, Valet Parking, and the Business Center.
HOW DO I UNLOCK THE BUILDINGS?
First off, each one of these Buildings will require certain “Unlock” points in the Springfield Heights Questlines. So it will take you some time to get through all the Questlines and Dialog to completely unlock the access to these Buildings. No worries. It is a permanent addition to our games, so you have all the time you need to get to them. No need to rush.
Just take a peek at the Springfield Heights Menu. You will first see the Real Estate Requirement to Unlock a Building.
Then once you have reached the Real Estate Requirement, it will then show you the Questline Requirement to gain access to the Building.
Now let’s take a look at each of these 3 Buildings, what it will take to Upgrade them, and what you can get out of those Upgrades.
DELUXE CONDO
The First Deluxe Condo will Unlock for purchase once you get to Springfield Heights Part 3. You will need to have also accessed the Furniture Shop and sent a few Characters on tasks to make Furniture to be able to purchase the First Deluxe Condo for 2 Furniture. Each of the 9 Additional Deluxe Condos will cost 15 Furniture.
Once you place the First Deluxe Condo and it completes being built, you can then tap on it to see what it will take to Upgrade it to the Next Level.
You can place up to a total of TEN Deluxe Condos into your game and you can Upgrade each one to whatever Level you want. Here is what they will look like after each Level Upgrade.
The game will actually notify you when you have enough Material to make an Upgrade by showing the Upgrade Icon over the Building.
Here is the Basic Overview of the Deluxe Condo.
First Deluxe Condo: Reach Springfield Heights Pt 3 & Pay 2 Furniture
Deluxe Condo Levels | Upgrade Cost | Payout |

3 | 4025 | 1.1M |

You can see by the chart that you will need to have Unlocked the Furniture Shop, Coffee Shop, Institute of Technology, and LA Body Works in order to fully Upgrade the Deluxe Condos.
Also note the amounts required. That also means you will have had to increased the Storage Capabilities in each location to have enough space to Collect the amounts needed to Upgrade too.
VALET PARKING

HOW MANY TOTAL OF EACH BUILDING CAN I HAVE?
The Buildings all have a MAX Total of 10 Each. You can keep track of how many you have purchased and how many are left by going to the Springfield Heights Menu and looking at the Counter Icon on the Building.
WHY CAN’T I UPGRADE A BUILDING?
There are several requirements you must meet in order to be able to Upgrade your Building Levels.
First thing you need to look for is what you need to Upgrade the Building. If it is a Material from a Location you have not Unlocked into the game yet, you will have to wait until you gain access to the Location and those Materials before you can go any further.
In this Example, I did not have the Coffee Shop Unlocked yet, so I could not get any Latte’s to help with the Upgrade. Due to this, the “Upgrade” button was grayed out.
You will also see this if you have the Location but your Storage is not high enough to cover the amount. For instance, if the amount was 50 Latte’s and I only had my Latte Storage to 20… I could not Upgrade. There has to be enough room in Storage for the amount Requirements. Tapping on a grayed out “Upgrade” icon will just tell you that you need to gain more Storage in order to Upgrade.
If you have a Location Unlocked, enough Storage space to cover the amount of Material you need, but have not earned enough of that Material yet… you will have the option to use your Donuts to process the Upgrade. I would advise highly against this. You will get there eventually and this is here to stay, so save those Donuts for other items that will be better for your game.
If you have the Location Unlocked, plenty of Storage space, and enough of the Material you need… you will see the “Upgrade” button turned to Green.
Tapping on the Green “Upgrade” button will bring up the Confirmation Screen asking you if you are SURE you want to spend the Materials to Upgrade the Building. Tapping on “Yes” will complete the Upgrade.
So if you can’t Upgrade a Building, check out these points:
- Do you have the Location Unlocked that makes the Materials?
- Do you have enough Storage space for the required amount of Materials?
- Do you have enough Materials Collected?
You can learn more information about Storage HERE.
You can find the Details for the Locations on their own Posts:
Furniture & Coffee Shop
Insitute of Technology
LA Body Works
Pharm-Er John’s Pharmaceuticals
Springfield Heights Theater
There you have it. A break down of 3 of the Buildings you can Upgrade to add to the overall look of your Springfield.
What do you think of these Buildings? Do you plan on getting 10 of each? How many do you have already? Do you have a favorite Level Upgrade? Let us know.

Can you still buy any of these buildings? I was looking to buy a few and for the life of me I can’t find them in the build menu.
Found the answer on the forum. Thanks anyway.

Dumb question but how do you arrange the car garage building’s add-on items? I’m on level 4 and am having a hard time organizing everything so it fits and looks good.
There’s no right or wrong way…but the valet has no add ons. Unless you’re talking about the mansions.

On the Level 4 Deluxe Condo: How does anybody actually get onto that smaller 2nd floor porch? I don’t see a door (it has a door in the other level versions) or a walkway to the other larger porch. And what is that hopper attached to the wall of that porch? (Please don’t tell me they crawl through it and drop down to access the porch …)
Interesting question! Upon closer examination, it appears that the walk on that side of the building is actually one of those climbing walls…notice the hand/foot holds scattering around the face of it and the rope dangling down from the roof. So, I guess that, to get to it, one needs to use the rope to rappel down and then the climb back up to the roof to leave it.
Thanks for pointing that out… Now that I figured it out, it’s actually rather amusing! 😀
I don’t get out much, so I thought the foot/hand holds and rope were just decorations…. But you’re right, that’s what it is. Those rich people have too much time on their hands. I guess there must be a trap door on the roof unless they have to swing sideways to the other porch. They must lose more rich people that way!
Do you get donuts for figuring it out?
Don’t I wish! If you’d like to send me some, via a gift of Amazon Coins, I’ll be happy to send you my email address! 😉
Question about the deluxe condo; I bought one extra condo and was upgrading the one I bought, not the original I got from the game, the game wants me to upgrade to level 5, will it count if I upgrade the bought one and not the original? Or will it still be in my task box?
Any help will be grateful, thanks!
It should count for ANY one you Upgrade.
I didn’t play for a few months and am playing again…I don’t like the monorail event so am not joining it but love the Springfield heights expansion. Do you by chance know how I can buy building etc to place in this area? I can’t find them in the build menu and I can only buy the buildings when there is a task for it like “buy valet parking.” Then at that time I don’t buy it right away and place as many buildings as possible because I cannot find it again later! And when I click the reality building and click ? It shows me that there are ways to exchange the goods for buildings but nowhere can I find how to do it without a task. Thanks in advance for ur help.
Let’s get you acquainted with The Heights area first. I am going to link you to the main hub of posts. Start going through them to get a feel… it will be the best way to answer a LOT of questions at once. Then… see if there are still things you are trying to understand and we will go from there. 😉
http://tstoaddicts.com/springfield-heights/
I guess I just wrote a lot of things and confused you. I found the spot to buy the buildings in the build menu. I’ve been playing tapped out for years but first time I had s problem, my Springfield heights area is currently at $12.6 million in value. Thanks.
The way it was worded is you were asking for the basic “How To” of the area since you hadn’t played for a while, so that’s why I offered the posts. Those post links also cover each individual item and area that you are looking for information on. Where each one unlocks, how to get MORE of them, how to get any of them in general.
As the question was kind of vague… I offered an overall “answers” to the entire area. 😉
I am having a hard time finding it too, glad I am not the only one! Where did you find it?
Have you noticed that valet parkings actually increase in size when you upgrade them to level 5? Not sure about condos or business centers, but valets definitely do. If you have placed several next to each other, they will remain there (each slightly overlapping with the next), but when you select them they will turn red, and if you move one of them you’ll never be able to put it back where it was!
Another odd glitch: haven’t checked other plants/decorations, but you can also place the “fancy gold trees” with a one-row overlap between them, as if they occupied only one square rather than 4.
Where can I buy SH buildings during the monorail event? Or did I miss my chance?
You can. Go to your store and scroll left/right you’ll see the Springfield Heights icon. Or expand your menu and tap the SH icon (it looks like the sign outside the tunnel)
I can no longer put my Springfield Heights buildings in storage. Is this a new glitch with the update, or the new norm?
It’s impacting everyone. Probably to fix the disappearing items when they get stored bug…
So I know there has been an issue with disappearing SH buildings while in storage…and this just happened to me but, I also got 2 EXTRA BC’s. So I’m assuming as long as I don’t place them in storage, will I have 12 BC’s forever? Also any rumor if there will be a patch for this issue? We do get extra real estate value I guess from this glitch!
That should be the case. And nope, no word on it yet.
same for me, I built all 10 of everything as soon as I had enough resources. Now I am missing 3 classic mansions & 2 modern mansions. But I have 16 business centres in total!
I like the nod to Homer’s “Financial Panther” in level 4 of the business center!
Well, I read the posts about how buildings in SH multiply XP so I started to complete building out and my Business Centers underwent an instantaneous build.
Fat Tony used to have a task at the gym. It’s no longer there for me. Has this happened to anybody else?
Ya might have missed it towards the bottom of this post but it’s one of the changes they made in the game.

Oh ok. I see. Thanks for the info!
I don’t know how people who don’t have/use Bluestacks can do all these short tasks! I have to work on the Heights on bluestacks while reading this blog or doing you know work!
I haven’t been on for awhile (quelle horreur, i know), so i am sorry if this has already been mentioned…..
I really like the un-upgraded versions (and each level) of the new buildings. I would like it if once the buildings were level 5, that we could chose which version to display (a la that super hero statue mausoleum thing or Christmas lights). Any way to suggest that to EA? Or am I the only one who feels this way?
Since we are limited to 10 of each type of building, i plan on keeping 2 at each level for variety.
As I told another reader… start a post on their Help Forum and suggest it. See what response you get.
Holy cow Ziff’s mansion is HUGE!!! 12X18!!! Gonna have to do a major redesign.
I just saw something that I had not seen before – my level 5 business center went from having blue windows to having gold ones (as if lit from the inside), displaying animations of the people inside (like the lady using the copier machine). Also, the landing lights on the helipad up top are now animated. I compared it to my other level 5 business center, which is still as before. I believe that this animation is just a temporary random thing, like when an unseen citizen rides a Krustyland ride and causes it to briefly animate. I’m assuming that this was a change that came with the recent update patch…
I am glad you mentioned the gold-window-opaqueness because it keeps happening to my business centers and I wonder what triggers it. Two of my business centers are at level 4 and the other at level 5. I like the look. 🙂
Reaching that last prize isn’t going to be easy. I got Ziff’s mansion earlier today.
I’ve never liked house farms in my Springfield, because I always thought of that town as being “organic,” like most off the towns in the east coast. But I’m treating Springfield Heights as a “developed” town, like the one my mother-in-law lives in in Texas, where most of the houses are in fancy developments and have a similar (but not necessarily identical” look to one another) and each development has a name.
So my town has a Springfield Heights Promenade development (named for the promenade that runs through it), which is all made of the condos in various stages, and a Springfield Park development, which has the classic mansions in it. I don’t consider them house farms, because the have walkways and such (they’re not just a bunch of buildings crammed together for money-making purposes).
The modern mansions will go in the more “downtown” area, and probably won’t be the same kind of enclosed development as the others (aside from everything else, the game only provides two types of labeled entrance days – Springfield Heights Promenade and Springfield Park – so there’s no way to pot them in a named development).
You definitely have one of the best looking SH. I was still working out my design concept when I changed strategy thanks to LJ’s XP multiplier notice. It’s a real puzzle on how to make this area attractive and make scale look cohesive (I wanted my mansion row to relocate but their houses are miniscule next to the SH upgradeables). Good Job. I’ll figure mine out eventually.
Me? Really?? Thanks!!! 😀
I don’t know to to do “fancy” stuff, and I’m not always as good at thinking “out of the box,” like one of my neighbors who made a “super mansion” by shoving a while bunch of classic mansion main buildings up against each other (an idea I’m using a version of for my modern mansions), but I do try to give it some thought and a certain level of “realness.”
At any rate, your comment just made my day! 🙂
You should probably also note that having these buildings placed in your town gives you a hidden XP bonus.
– Deluxe Condo – 1% each
– Business Center – 2% each
– Valet Parking – 3% each
And then for the mansion posts later:
– Classic Mansion – 4% each
– Modern Mansion – 5% each
This doesn’t show up in the Conform-o-meter and doesn’t effect cash.
If you have all 50 buildings placed in your town it gives you a 150% boost to your XP earning which for me is more than double what I was getting as a freemium player with very few premium decorations. Which means I can get level up donuts twice as quickly!
And you get the bonus as soon as you build it at Level 1, you do not have to upgrade them.
Is it correct to assume that, if you store those buildings, you lose the multiplier until you place them again, just like other bonus multiplying decorations/buildings?
Yup correct.
I guess I’ll have to get them out of storage, then. Heh.
I was wondering why I was leveling up so quickly! I’m almost at level 54 XP, but only 48 as far as quest lines go, just started building Gold Navy this morning. I got really far behind during Terwilligers and I’m clearly still catching up. Can’t wait to get to Ruth Powers!!
I’d built ten each of all five buildings and bunged them in storage
I’ve moved some of them out back into Springfield Heights as I’m redesigning my town and some of my classic and modern mansions disappeared out of my inventory. The upgraded parts are still there so I’ve had to rebuild the main buildings
Anybody else had this problem? They were only level 2, but it’s cost me resources to rebuild them and then upgrade them again
Yes, several. Comments all over our site on this.
http://tstoaddicts.com/2015/07/23/the-great-donut-caper-missing-donuts-and-other-issues-with-springfield-heights/
Same. My parking lots and business ctrs keeps disappearing from inventory. I have been rebuilding them everyday. Then upgraded business CTR to level 2 and 3 also disappeared. Deluxe condo which I want to keep at level 1 also disappeared. But then again now I got excess of mansions and deluxe condos above the limit of 10.
I think the estate points are not affected though so I just live with it.
Is there a write up on the mansions? And what they should look like at level 5?
Yes… it is pending release. With there being limited time content in the game now, that will take priority. (FYI, the Mansions stay the same, the addition to “looks” is the additional parts given)
