Springfield Heights Edition: Should I Spend Donuts on the Plastic Surgery Center?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

The Springfield Heights expansion has hit Springfield!  And of course you know an all new expansion means all new premium items!  Now I know you may be trying to decide if the Springfield Heights items are worth YOUR donuts, but don’t sweat it!  We’re here to tell you what’s worth the donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add the Plastic Surgery Center to YOUR Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this chop shop to the rich to YOUR Springfield!

plasticsurgerycenter_menu

Building/Decoration: Plastic Surgery Center
Donut Price: 80 donuts
Earns: $55,5xp/1hr
Real Estate Points: 2.25 Million ico_heights_realestate_lg when purchased
Conform-O-Meter: Consumerism +10
Size: 4×8
Unique: Yes
Can Be Placed: Grass/Pavement
Level Requirement: Must be at Level 30 and have started Springfield Heights
Limited-Time: Leaves the store August 4th

Pros:
-Earns a ton of Real Estate Points when purchased
-One of the rare items from Springfield Heights to earn money/xp
-Will be used once you unlock Paris Texan (at 1 billion Real Estate Points.)  She’ll have a 6hr premium task there.
-Animated when in use (you can see shadows of work in the windows)

Cons:
-No questline associated with it
-Will take a while before you can actually use it, as it requires 1 Billion Real Estate Points to unlock the character.
-Rate of earning every 1hr isn’t that great, and often hard to capitalize on the cash/xp

Final Thought:
Premium:
Based on the fact that a character will use it (eventually) and it’s not a terrible price, this is one I’m in favor of getting.  Premium players, if you have the donuts this is one premium Springfield Heights building you may want to pickup.

Freemium:
While this isn’t a “must buy” by any means..it’s not a bad buy.  If you really want one of these limited-time Springfield Heights buildings, this one isn’t bad.  It will be used, it’s an ok price & it’ll help boost consumerism.

Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do…and I can tell you I will most likely be picking this one up.    Just remember this IS limited-time and will leave the stores on August 4th.  So if you’re thinking about getting it, or are on the fence, make sure you make up your mind before August 4th when it’s gone!

  1. At the time of writing, (with Gil’s donut rebate) I just got it and it gave me 3million real estate value,

    😃 🇬🇧 🏈

  2. Is it me, or did the task to “Recruit Some Muscle” at LA Body Works change from Fat Tony to Snake? I know this isn’t the best place to post this, but I thought it should be brought to your attention ASAP

  3. In my game, at LA body works, Fat Tony has been replaced by Snake in the final slot. Fat Tony got kicked out, but the yoga mat icon is still above the building when he’s roaming free, but I can’t use him there anymore. This happened right after the Gil deal triggered. Weird.

  4. I have to decide between this and the ice cream truck.

  5. My SH buildings keep going missing or levels upgraded woukd reduce back to one. Some of the buildings I have ended up are more than the limit set. Overall I feel as if SH has something weird going on. Hope the forced update is to solve these issues. I have been constructing SH buildings over and over again

  6. Im tap-tired because of the springfield heights. This hayday game m chanic is not for me. Moving on.

  7. I think all premium buildings should unlock new characters if not skins. The Plastic Surgen, Handsome Moe, Bosomy Marge, Bosomy Krusty – lol

  8. I think I’ll buy this one. I like the sign. Makes me laugh.

“Fixing God’s Mistakes.” – Hee hee, ha ha.

(The fact that it earns tuppence, helps Consumerism, and will (eventually) have a premium character task/be animated, are all good reasons, too.)

  9. Hey guys late to the party but I had to update to get in today what’s the update about? Thanks,
    Wes

  10. While I get that SH is meant to be a longer term build, why rush us with timed items and how on earth will we get to one billion (sounds like Dr. Evil) real estate points. I like buildings at different levels and really don’t want to have to upgrade them to the max. Even then, without a fully built and clogged SH it seems like a lot of points. Curious what others think?

    • It is the same kind of stuff we see with pretty much every aspect of the game. It seems like a lot now, but months from now you will see things getting easier and easier. Happened with Springfield, then Squidport, then Krustyland.

I like the idea of a new area WITHIN Springfield. I liked Krustyland at first, but they stopped adding things there to keep my interest. So with SH in Springfield, there will always be something to do within the same screen.

    • My question with these limited time items is, what about low level players? If they haven’t even started the expansion, will they ever be able to buy these limited time items? I’m at the highest level right now, so it’s not a big deal for me, but I feel for the newbies.

I’ve fully upgraded several condos and have them in storage right now. I’m not going to overcrowd for this. My indolence rating is maxed out and I don’t need them for five stars, so I’m not keeping them out, especially since they’re nothing more than HUGE decorations at this point. I wish I could sell them.

      • It is similar to pretty much anytime something limited hits the game for a Newbie. No matter if it is Event, Level, or w/e… they will still have to decide if it is worth it to them to buy. The items may make a return later on. Anything can happen with EA. 🙂

        • I suppose. But this is less like an event, so seems unfair if you aren’t far enough in the game. Almost like having a limited-time item for a level. It’s great for those of us that are there, but too bad for new players. I’m sure they will re-release them, like they’ve done over the past year for other items. The on,y ones left that I yearn for are Kumiko, the Falls, and Guinea Pig Rescue. 🙂

          • I get that but also keep in mind a new player won’t even see Springfield Heights. Not til Level 30. So EA probably took that into account to. Who knows… a new player may still get the same chance once they hit level 30.

      • Just an idea, but new area within Springfield should have been Shelbyville, could have brought in a few more characters as well. Albeit they would only have tasks for their part of town 🙂

    • I agree with mikwrw0, I too like buildings at different levels. I wish when you upgraded, it would add the upgraded appearance as selectable facade so we could pick whichever “costume” we wanted our building to “wear”.

In order to reach the $1B RE end goal, I think I’m gonna need to buy lots of extra buildings just as upgrade fodder to earn the RE points, then also build a handful of each building to keep at the lower tiers I want to display. Once upgraded, I’ll sell/store the excess maxed buildings.

Then again, not sure that plan will work with the limited number of each building we’re allowed to buy. Hmm… Will have to figure that out.

    • Sandra ShillI

I, too want to keep certain buildings at different levels. I figure that, over time, they’ll release more stuff that can add to REV, so that, eventually, I’ll get to the one billion mark. But I’m not rushing anything with SH. I think that, as long as you’ve at least completed the questline, it won’t matter how long you take to do anything else. (I’m guessing that you may be required to complete the questline to do the a future level’s questline, much the same way as you were “forced” to do Squidport and Krustyland at certain points to be able to continue the game.)

    • I agree! I love the look of the Ziff Mansion and want to create a village similar to the one in “Other Springfield” but as a result will not be able to get the real estate points I need. I also dislike the upgrade arrows if I want to freeze my buildings at those heights. Additionally, the fully upgraded condos are annoyingly tall, as well as the business centers and even the valet parking garage. There’s lots of space in the northeast part Springfield Heights, why not open up more of it? Is there any word on whether or not that will happen? (PS: I hate to sound like such a hater. I really do love the SH expansion, just wish we had a little more room to breathe, haha!)

      • Sandra ShillI

Well, it occurred to me that, once I’ve built everything I wanted and unlocked the land I want, if I stop crafting stuff and spend down whatever I’ve crafted, then the floating icons will disappear, because I won’t have enough materials to upgrade them! 🙂

  11. If this building looked as nice as the spa, but still had the benefits that this building has, I’d seriously consider spending the donuts for it (although 80 is still a lot for just a building to me). But it’s just too “blah” looking, especially for Springfield Heights, and I already have the stomach stapling center, so I’ll probably pass and just be a wee bit sad about it.

    • And a negative for me is that it earns every hour. I’m rarely in my game that often. I wish it earned at four or eight hours; I’d find it more attractive. That being said, I’ll probably pick both of these up. Just waiting for the other SIB on the spa. But I like the look enough that I’ll probably grab it. I totally skipped on the column-shaped mansion, though. The only thing I liked about it was it could be placed on the beach.

  12. I might consider buying it, but I’m not opening SH until the donut dissappearing bug is solved. It’s been going on more than a week and no patch has been released, so I guess I’ll probably miss this one.

  13. I’m considering this one…I just got 30 donuts in my weekly mystery box putting me at 91, so I could get it…or I could keep saving up for something else? My husband and I are obsessed with Botched, so buying this would make me smile. Hmm…

  14. Went into app store yesterday and noticed an update for the game. It automatically updated to SH last week or so. Just wondering what else there could have been.

  15. I’m surprised they released this considering we already have the stomach staples centre which is effectively the same thing. I wish they would have rereleased the stomach staples centre and given Paris her job there or at least returned krustys job there.

  16. Missed out the first time so I got it

  17. Just had an update this morning, and now I’m trying to figure out from the bare patch of ground which building is now missing from my Springfield. It’s a fairly recent one…

  18. It doesn’t seem like a terrible buy, but I’m torn… we already have the Stomach Staples Centre.
