Hey hey tap friends! In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where did THAT Come From?
So with Level 55, all sorts of new stuff popped up. One of the new freemium items for $100,000 was the Chrono Trike. Besides delighting any fans of the 1960 movie based on H.G. Wells The Time Machine, where did this item appear in the Best. Show. Ever.? Does it have anything to do with Declan Desmond? Let’s find out, shall we?
“Springfield Up” (S18:E13)
You may remember this episode mainly as Declan Desmond’s Growing Up Springfield documentary showing Moe, Wiggum, Homer, Frink, Eleanor aka Crazy Cat Lady and Marge from grade school to “present” day over eight year increments. It’s during Frink’s segment that we see the Chrono Trike. Frink designed it to go back in time to warn his younger self to choose a different career. “One where I’ll meet a female woman of the girl-ular variety.”
The machine works but Frink’s plan doesn’t turn out exactly as he’d hoped as he’s hit by two different vehicles running across the street and Carl absconds with the trike. Too funny when it pops up later during Homer’s “satan your my lady song.” It’s a silly joke but I love that it’s in black and white. Tickles my funny bone every time friends. Carl must have returned it at some point or the entire space-time continuum would be all hoiven moiven, right?
So there you go friends… the origin of the Chrono Trike. What’s your opinion of it? Put it next to your Frink stuff? Ever wish you could go back in time to change something? Sound off and stay classy friendereenos.
TTFN… Wookiee out!
