Should I Spend Donuts on Krusty’s Drive-Thru Station?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

The Monorail has finally arrived.  Yes, the Monorail is now in Springfield….and it’s only natural that Krusty’s trying to promote himself throughout the event. After all, he’s gotta make a living somehow & what better way than with Krusty’s Drive-Thru Monorail Station (because who doesn’t need fries with a Monorail ride?)   Now I know you may be trying to decide if this is worth YOUR donuts, but don’t sweat it!  We’re here to tell you what’s worth the donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add Krusty’s Drive-Thru Station to YOUR Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this station to YOUR Springfield!
krustystation_menu

Building: Krusty’s Drive-Thru Station (Note: you do NOT get the truck with it, it’s only there to show you get Track Pieces with it)
Donut Price:
150 Donuts
Earns:
Possums/4hrs (starts at 8 and increases as you add more tracks)
Conform-O-Meter Impact: Gluttony +10
Size: 8×12
Leaves the game August 28th

Pros:
-Comes with additional tracks (I got 4 long straights, 2 curves, 2 s curves and 2 short. )
-Comes with it’s own monorail car (unless you connect it to tracks that attach to another station, then it’s just 1 car for all the tracks)
-Spawns possums/4hrs (just like the regular station) to help increase your blueprint count.

Cons:
-Pricey for just another station
-While the additional possums are nice, they’re not that significant in your overall blueprint need.
No character interaction Conductor Homer has a task there (or the regular station)

Additional Station pieces available:

Leaves the store on August 28th

Krusty Station Drive Thru AwningDrive-Thru Awning: 25 Donuts, +0.25% Bonus to xp & $$$

Krusty Station Drive Thru ExtensionDrive-Thru Extension: 25 Donuts, +0.25% Bonus to xp & $$$

Krusty Station Drive Thru StairsDrive-Thru Stairs: 50 Donuts. +0.50% Bonus to xp & $$$

krustystationextension_menuDrive-Thru Platform: 10 Donuts, +0.25% Bonus to xp & $$$

Personal thought on the pieces…PASS.  They’re not worth the donuts.

Final Thought:
Premium Take:
This is one of those…if you like it get it items.  If you want the station and you think it looks cool pick it up.  Otherwise pass.  If you’re worried about getting another station, I can tell you it looks like more will be coming for free via future acts.  So don’t get it just because you want another station.  Personally, I’m passing on it.  Just doesn’t have enough benefit for me to pick it up..

Freemium Take:
Again….stay away…stay far far away from this one.  In my opinion, it’s just not worth those hard earned freemium donuts.  There’s no real benefit to adding it to your town, other than having an additional station.  And you’ll earn more stations as the event progresses.  So in my mind, this is a complete freemium pass.

Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do…and I can tell you as a premium player I’m passing on this one.  Just not worth it to me.   However, this IS a limited-time item.  So if you’re thinking about getting it make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games.

What are your thoughts on Krusty’s Drive-Thru Station?  Will you be spending the donuts to bring it to your Springfield (or did you already)? Where have you placed it?  Did you connect the two stations?  Or have two separate ones?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. I never got my kristy burger monorail station. I would like to know why

  2. Missed to buy the station. But a fourth one would really make sense for my upcoming monorail net 🙂 Any chance it is coming back in the next few months? I also have the 150 donuts by now!

  3. I want krustys station but I need to buy donuts to get it. Does anyone know if GIL might show up with a Krispy monorail deal…hint hint EA 🙂

12$ for 132 donuts is way too much. Even 22.99$ for 300 donuts is way too much.

    • Go to the store and see if Gift Cards on sale and go that route. Discounted Gift Cards = Discounted Donuts. 😉

      • Yup I know. That’s how I usually purchase my iTunes cards….but….still in the end EA is charging those prices. It’s always nice to have a sale on the retail price 🙂

  4. like the krustys drivethru station im getting it

  5. Will extra track pieces be available once all three acts are completed ?

  6. Considering the fact that I was hardly getting any straight track pieces with the expansion packs, I am glad I did get the station.

  7. I don’t see the Krusty’s Drive-Thru Station in the store just the extra pieces hmmm is it gone already ?

  8. How do you get it? My game is still stuck on A Rail of One City Part 6 because of the Project Board glitch. What else am I missing out on>?

  9. Just saw one of my neighbors has Krusty’s Drive-Thru. And, lo and behold, he has TWO seperate monorails (2 trains) moving in his town…. I assume this is not possible without a hacked game, right? Just want to confirm, before I delete him.

    • No, as the post says this station gives you another monorail, unless you connect the tracks (ie connect the stations via tracks)

    • Why do people care so much if their neighbors have hacked games, are they afraid they’re going to affect their own games? I have neighbors that spend so many donuts, it’s unlikely they paid for them. But it doesn’t bother me, those towns are always the coolest to visit!

      • As someone who does spend my hard earned cash on doughnuts I understand why people get pissed at hacked games. It’s killing me right now because I’m out of work, no sick pay and I can’t afford the Krusty station additions, and I don’t even really want them. I’m not gonna be a, what’s a nice word for #! $& about it so I won’t turn anyone in, however I will laugh at those who do, get caught and lose their account.

      • I have 2 neighbours who are definitely hackers… they complete ALL events on the first or second day by spending hundreds/thousands of doughnuts. I actually like it, as it means I get to see the premium items “for real”, can often interact with them, and can decide if I want it in my town.

  10. My monorails on fire 😅

  11. It was expensive, but I bought it. I’m so glad I did. It definitely added a lot of personality to the Monorail. It also gave me the additional gluttony points I needed to get to five stars. I’m passing on the expansions though. They seem unnecessary like the ones for central station.

  12. Plastic recycling has commenced, …takes 2 hours, …and I’ve found the first problem….my sideshow you stopped working in Krustyland

    🚝 ♻ 🚝 ♻ 🚝 🚬🔥

  13. I’m building my monorail Vegas style. It’ll be nice and long and not actually go anywhere useful.

  14. Sorry if this is a repeat but Homer does have task associated to Krustyland station. When you send Homer to drive the monorail he can either go to the original platform (which activates spotlights) or the Krustyland Station (which lights up the billboard on the station).
