Monorail Calendar: Act Two

Hey there Hoppereenos!

More MONORAIL Stations! WOOHOO!!

The New Act Two is now live in our silly lil games, that means it is time once again to earn some New Materials to get some New extra “Stuff” in our game… Act 2 that New Material will be Duct Tape.

The amounts seem a bit scary so of course that means you are stressing on just HOW you are going to do it all. Well no worries. My handy dandy Calendar for Act Two is here.

ACT TWO WILL END SEPTEMBER 4TH

EVENT CALENDAR STARTING AUGUST 24th/DAY 2 OF ACT 2

As per usual, I will be starting the Calendar one day AFTER Act Two releases so you can factor in time you will need to send Characters on tasks, get Buildings, and fully launch the New Event. I will also be stopping it the night BEFORE Act Two ends, as it will give you enough time to focus on all the other last minute stuff.

Again, do not panic. Remember that it is slow going at first so you may “appear” to be behind, but as you progress in Act Two you will start to see that you are getting more and more and more each day. So just go at a pace that fits you, but remember the more you play the more you will get.

Monorail Act 2 Calendar

Now you have a basic daily breakdown for 11 days based off of approximately 12,064 Duct Tapes a day.

AHEAD OF THE TRACK BONUS

trackstraight4x2_menutrackstraight4x2_menutrackstraight4x2_menu

The similar Bonus Track offer is back. For every X amount of Duct Tapes beyond 132,700 you earn, you will be able to get additional pieces of Tracks for your Monorail.

Word of caution on this one, if you are NOT in your town when you hit the bonus, any additional Duct Tapes collected may not count towards the Bonus (they will only add to your main total). So be careful. If you are close, you may want to go back to your Springfield just before you hit it. This is due to once it triggers the final prize, it will take a few minutes to go through all the pop ups for it. This causes the Bonus Round Pop Up to delay as you tap through them. That means any additional beyond the 132,700 earned when you hit it will NOT count to the Ahead of the Track Bonus until you see the Pop Up. For instance if you earn 132,800, the extra 100 will go to your total, but nothing will add to the Bonus until Ahead of the Track Bonus pops up. So the counts may be slightly off.

This is what I saw in my game…

Act 2 Personal Prizes

Once you hit your 132700, you will see the Tap Finger pointing at your Task Menu towards a Track Piece Icon.

Act 2 Ahead of Track

Tapping on the Track Piece Icon will then pop up the Ahead of the Track Bonus. You will see what the Current Amount of Additional Duct Tapes are required in order for you to earn ONE additional Piece of Rail Track to your game. Mine started at 0/3000. It seemed to trigger it twice.

Ahead of the Track Act 2 3000

Just like last Act, it seems this just keeps going and going and going. Each time adding more to the Required additional Duct Tapes to earn.

For instance this is what happened in my game…
+3000
+3000
+4000
+5000

I am currently at earn +5000 more Duct Tapes.

Ahead of the Track Act 2 5000

Each time it only rewarded me the ONE piece of Rail Track when I hit the Required amount of Duct Tapes. It automatically jumped to the next amount as soon as I got the Track Piece Pop Up. So far, I have only got Straight Pieces.
Straight Track Piece

So no Bonus Donuts from Personal Prizes again, just more Tracks.

There you have it. A Calendar of Duct Tapes to keep you on track for all 10 Personal Prizes. Plus some MORE Tracks to wrap your town in Monorail!!

What do you think of it so far? Where are YOU in the game? How are your totals coming along? Let us know.

  1. Short by 1000 duct tape. Don’t think I’m gonna get Uriahs Heap. So close too.

  2. Got my 10th bonus track piece!! Sweet!

  3. I’m at 118678 duct tapes. How can I make it? In which order do you select the tasks (plastic, glass…)? Do you select the longest or shortest tasks first?

  4. what i’d like to see is an image of how all these terminal pieces fit together. anybody got any ideas?

  5. I was doin great until the last update, i was a day and a half ahead, they even capped my max repeatedly, then it changed to all plastic daily challenges, and i cant keep up!! Im behind by a day now, is anyone else’s having this problem? Is there anything i can do?

  6. So I didn’t play for a few weeks because of phone issues. I missed part one of the quest. I have been trying to catch up and I filled the Springfield dump before I got to “A Rail For the City pt5”. Now it says in order to complete the quest I have to have 150 springfielders collect junk. I can’t because the dump is full. Any ideas? I’m sad. Ha

  7. 3 days ago i finally finished Springfield Heights 1000mill achievement. Of course without spending donuts, just being as active as i can when i can. Ive re caught up on the Daily track achievement after im sure EA wanted to screw me with 9 displays off really poor payouts on the “Hand in resources for jobs board”
Would you believe that all tiers were offering 500 duct tapes or worse on all clicks in all 3 tiers 😡 most under 12 duct tapes.
Due to this sometimes random offering, i now only make an effort to save for and click the highest payouts when displayed.

  8. So this event has been a cakewalk thus far. The way they throttle daily gains means I’ve been able to stay on top of real life tasks and still complete everything daily with no sweat off my brow…

I’m more than a day up on my progress, and I am not really visiting friends at all (crashing, loading times, just not a lot of fun to tap through…)

…the thing that gets me, is I really hope Act III adds something new, and I don’t just mean another resource. This is a long event of the exact same collection/turn-in cycle that is already boring me to death.

It isn’t hard, but it certainly is tedious. (And the auto-collect some “other” game has put into play recently has me insanely jealous for it in TSTO; although they did improve the tap-collect functionality that I either missed it being reported or they just slipped it in there…)

Between Springfield Heights (Oh gosh I’m never going to finish that…I’m inching towards the halfway point but again; losing interest in repeating the same upgrade cycle time after time after time…) and this event; I really hope they turn down the REQUIRED amount of tapping in coming months.

  9. Does anyone know which prizes you can buy from act 1, and how much they cost? I haven’t been able to get in but it may be fixed soon, if it is I would love to get the items but I’m not sure if I will be willing to pay for them, I got locked out and missed Tennis Marge by a few thousand points, they wanted 370 donuts for that. :/

    • They’ll all in the Act 1 tab for donuts only… similar to last event. I’d have to double check each Donut price… but total at least 1000 Donuts +

  10. Am I the only one that picks the max payout project? What would be the purpose in collecting 5 or 8 duct tapes when you can get 1500-2000 duct tapes? Why do the lower payout projects? You guys rock as always!! TIA

    • For those that need the “complete 10 to get donuts”, it is easier to hit the 10 with 10 lil ones. 😉

    • I do those ones because I have an irrational fear that I’ll get to the end of the act with 30 seconds to go and 4 duct tape away from the hippie and not get it. But that’s just me… I also hate waiting for enough supplies to do the big ones, plus if you clear the tiny ones there’s usually some big ones hiding behind them.

  11. Think we’ll get the glass Depot part way through this act?

  12. Plugging away!!! Trying to stay on track. I don’t spend real money on this game so it’s soley a matter of trying to be creative without donuts. Doing OK. Thanks so much for the monorail calendar/math Bunny!! Love trains. 🙂 Just made a little subway entrance with my ‘Escalator to Nowhere’ lol. Fun! THX hun. 🙂

  13. It would be nice if you could buy track pieces out of the store.

  14. I know it’s early yet, but any idea on what the Recycling Center will do? Will it be another way to gain event currency or materials? Just curious…

  15. can someone explain me which one it is the daily cap
the number of projects done or the total number of duck tapes won by doing projects ??
