Happy Friday! Woohoo it’s finally the weekend! (well as soon as 5pm rolls around…) But here I am up at just after 4am here on the East Coast because Act 3 (the final Act) of the Monorail is now live!
Remember…this is an automatic change in your game. Nothing to download, it should just start up in your game..
Just what does Act 3 have in store for us? Let’s take a look…
Act 3 will start up with some dialogue from Sebastian Cobb…
Sebastian: The Monorail is almost complete. Now all we need are some bells and whistles.
Quimby: You mean unnecessary projects that provide opportunities for corrupt officials to skim a little of the top?
Sebastian: No, I literally need bells and whistles. We need a way to warn people before we hit them.
Quimby: That’s fine. I can skim off necessary projects as well.
New Prize Currency for Act 3..
Bell and Whistle
You’ll be awarded Bells and Whistles now for the Project Board, Clearing Possums and visiting neighbors (and clearing neighbor actions in your town). This also includes the 5 day Daily Combo, you will now get 5000 Bells and Whistles on the 5th consecutive day of play.
Possums +10
Clear “Garbage Stench”(Neighbor Tap) +1
Neighbor Visits are still +6 for a MAX of 90 Actions per 24hrs.
Daily Challenge Bonus
It’ll still happen for the Project Board, just like Act 1 and Act 2. Only now you’ll be awarded for completing actions.

Mall-O-Rail Station- 5,200 Also comes with 3 straight track pieces

3 Track Pack- 23,550

Bonus Donuts
The bonus donut questline is back! This time it is Project Management: Glass! The questline will ONLY appear for 3 parts and then you’ll complete it. So you can only earn 6 donuts this round at most. But hey free donuts are free donuts! 😉
Act 3 Questline
No real questline for this act, as that hit the other day. BUT there is the Fast Track to Success questline that will appear. This essentially tells you to place the Mall-O-Rail Station and Station pieces as you earn them.
Bonus Track
Yes, once you complete the Act 3 Prize Track you’ll have the opportunity to earn bonus track again. And yes, the project board cap will be removed once you unlock all of the Act 3 prizes…
Act 2 Prizes
IF you didn’t collect them all… you can still access them by tapping on the “ACT TWO PRIZES” tab in the Personal Prizes area. As you can no longer collect items for them, your only option now is to pay donuts to outright by each one left at the point you left off at.
New Items in the Store
No new items were added TODAY, but a few items hit our stores yesterday. Check out this post for more details on those items…
Rail Yard Prizes
Note: Once you unlock and place the Railyard, the Project Board becomes obsolete. You will NOT be able to turn in items at the Project Board after you unlock and place the Rail Yard. This will only impact you when it comes to earning Bonus Track via collecting Bells and Whistles….but you’ll still get the bonus track described below via the Rail Yard.
This also eliminates the Daily Bonus. So once you’re in the Rail Yard you will no longer get the Daily Bonus…
Once you unlock the final Act 3 prize you’ll have a chance for even MORE prizes! Well more tracks….and free donuts
It looks like you’ll be given the chance to turn in items from the dump to the Rail Yard to make more mystery Track pieces…
It looks like you’ll be given the opportunity to earn more tracks and free donuts each week via the Rail Yard, which is great for players who were hoping to get more tracks after the event ends!
The bad news is you’ll still have to grind out tasks to earn materials to get tracks…
Just for those curious…looks like you can earn 16 track pieces + 5 donuts per week with the Rail Yard.
This is something we’ll cover more in depth in another post…for now just know that the option is there for more tracks after the event ends! So work hard to earn that Rail Yard before the event is over!

I have received the rail yard and placed it in my town and I have finished several of the quests, and it says that my mystery track pieces are in my inventory but they are not. Does anyone know where they are. If I can’t find them I don’t want to keep playing to be rewarded something I can’t get.
If they’re not in your inventory look where the track pieces are in the move menu. But hold off right now because there’s a bug impacting the move menu

This might be helpful for those having freezing issues….. remove the first track of your monorail to stop it from moving. Some devices have a hard time processing the animation.
Since blueprints are needed for the rail yard, will the Little Lisa Recycling Plant still produce blueprints towards that goal? I was checking the “should I buy” thread, too, but couldn’t tell. I agree with your assessment that it is pricey, but would it be more valuable after you get the rail yard to help earn blueprints for possible donuts? Thanks in advance for advice. You do a great job covering everything!! 🙂
My understanding is it will go to cash/xp once the event is over. But I’m not 100% certain on that and won’t be until the event ends.
So i unlocked the Rail Yard which is cool, but im wondering why im still earning bells n whistles for placing garbage and also tapping possums. The rail yard is back to needing blue prints, the bells n whistles are obsolete
You can still earn a Free Rail Track or two from the Ahead of Track Bonus… as pointed out in this very post you are commenting on. 🙂

Broken monorail rail yard and bonus quest
the bonus quest is asking for bells and whistles but the rail yard is giving out blueprints
Nope. That is how it is supposed to be. Once Rail Yard is placed… only possums and neighbors (and 5 day bonus payout if you get it) for B&W. Rail Yard will stay just Blueprints.
Anyone else placed the rail yard? You can certainly still hand projects but we’re back to ‘blueprints’ for trackpieces and eventually, donuts.
But there’s also a task ‘Ahead of the Track’ expecting 3000 bells / whistles; which you can now only get from possums. Think this is a mistake? Or is it expected to be a task that takes a couple of days to complete?

Not sure where to put this but started getting a weird bug tonight the mountains would vanish and let me place buildings etc. in the same space the mountains should be, then the mountains would reappear on top allowed me to run my monorail through the mountains from Springfield into heights
Sounds like you may have some memory issues in your town. Be careful and try to NOT place anything in the way. Could cause issues down the road. Outside of that… are you pushing over the 4500 limit?
i dont think im at the 4500 limit i did get the warning a few weeks ago so i removed lots of trees, hedges and fences and not had the warning since I did get a nice picture of the monorail driving through the mountains but then i wussed out and put back to normal didnt want to get locked out etc

No. The Rail Yard is what makes the tracks.
Awesome!!! If I understand correctly we tappers will be able to continue to build up our monorail lines indefinitely?? I feel the monorail has brought another dimension to the game….in that it brings those of us more incentives to buy up land and place track….a very cool unique idea…….Good call on this one EA…..
In theory BUT it’s also possible they could end it at some point (like squidport tiles)

Did you see it posted here? We only post what’s in the game for a reason. Because when stuff that’s not live yet, or on a scheduled release doesn’t hit until a certain date…we got loads of questions about where it is. It’s not in the game at this time…all I can tell you is be patient there’s still a week of the Monorail Event left…
I have just gotten another act 3 prize pack of monorail mall station pieces. I am at 75850 bells and whistles. All freemium …. Btw…
Anyway just wondering if anyone else finds the pieces for this station very odd to place. It looks kind of weird and finding it hard to expand this station with the odd looking pieces.

Homer should auto start it. Double check all the task in your task list and make sure you’ve completed all the previous monorail tasks. Here’s the walkthrough info for the glass dept.

Cannot keep up because the project board only give metal and it’s hard to check in every hour when you’re a full time working employee. Didn’t get to the end in any of the acts so far and really was hoping to get the rail yard at least but I’m at 25,000 currently and don’t see me getting especially during the week

I figured 10 days, 154.550 as end price means 15.455 per day. This will get you there 1 day before the event ends…
Personally, I’m counting with 15.500 per day, which makes it easier to remember… About 30 mins ago I had to be at 62k, which I was comfortably…
Do you know what happens if I can’t get the rail yard before act three is over? I am assuming it will be available for purchase with donuts?
Not sure if it’ll be available, since the event will be over on the 15th. Depends on what/how EA decides to do it
Does the Rail Yard basically lead to an ongoing Recycling task setup beyond the event? I’m trying to decide if Jesse Grass, who I didn’t get before, would now be a more valuable get because he would have a use in helping gather those tracks/donuts after the event.
That’s what it looks like, based on the in game messaging. But there’s no way to know for sure until it’s over.
Ooh, that’s a great question! And, if he is, and we were going to buy him for that reason, we really should do that ASAP! (Of course, then I’ll feel bad I didn’t get him way earlier…) But if he’s not helpful in that way after the event, then I don’t really want to spend the donuts to get him (or I would’ve gotten him by now).
So now you’ve got me stressing! 😛
Well don’t forget that he is a child character. There’s a chance that he’ll have tasks for the Halloween event in October also, since those are usually send the kids trick or treating. If I remember correcly, Kearny and Jimbo both went trick or treating last year. If he is included, and I have absolutely no way of knowing if he will be or not, but if he is that also increases his worth.
