Level 58 hit our devices last week and with it arrived a couple of new decorations for your Springfield…Plato’s Republic Fountain and 2 new Chalk Outlines! Now I know you may be trying to decide if this is worth YOUR donuts, but don’t sweat it! We’re here to tell you what’s worth the donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add these decorations to YOUR Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding these vanity inspired items to YOUR Springfield!
Decoration: Plato’s Republic Fountain
Donut Price: 10 donuts
Bonus %: 0.25% on all cash and XP
Conform-O-Meter: Vanity +100
Unique: No, buy as many as you want
Level Requirement: Must be at Level 58, unless offered Early Access when the update first hit
Decoration: Rigellian and Jockey Chalk Outline
Donut Price: 5 donuts each

Premium or Freemium:
File these under “if you like it get it”. For the donuts spent they’re on par with the bonus % that should be awarded (although the Chalk outlines are better than the fountains). I personally believe decorations are a personal decision, if you like them grab them. If you don’t then pass. Everyone’s Springfield is different, so what works well decoration wise for one might not work well for another.
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do…and I can tell you I’ll probably pass on these for now. However, this is NOT a Limited-Time Item so take your time with your thought process. Everything will still be there in a few weeks. So if you’re on the fence or worried about saving up your donuts relax..there’s no rush to get tehm.

I have put the dead alien outlines around my launch pad and space center. They add a Syfy atmosphere!
I got the fountain and jockey outline: not too much donuts and a small bonus. Because I nuked my town (twice) because of the monorail, I didn’t reach level 58 the moment it hit as I usually do, but bought the stuff in early access and will reach the level soon anyway.
I won’t get Plato anytime soon, but I did have a fun design idea. I’ve put some of the stadium benches around some pavement, put 2 huge stadium lights next to the benches, and have the plato columns and plato sign surrounding it (on 2 sides). On the pavement, I’ve got homer discthrower and the stonecutters treasure chest and a banner. On the side, there’s the pink fountain. There’s also some pottree’s (squidport ones) on the other two sides. Anyway, it’s supposed to be a Roman open air theater, and it looks neat, though admittedly a little pink 😉

Is it wrong that I feel bad for the dead horse outline but indiffrent over the dead jockey (human) outline?

I don’t see them as dead outlines but as the chalk carvings (hill figures) we have in England. Cerne Abbas and the white horses are quite famous.
Added to my chalk outline collection. They are a good price for the bonus %. (Not as good as a jet bike or The Grumple balloon, but decent.)

The fountain is a no; too pink. I woulda got the casino and other stuff if it weren’t for the colour…
I always coveted all those pink valentines decorations I missed out on (benches, fountains, fences) so I’ll be getting at least one fountain for my pink mansion.
But the outlines have always creeped me out. I didn’t like how we had to add in that buried body as part of a questline either. I’m pretty hard to offend but they just…seem in bad taste?

I’ve been saving donuts for months now, but couldnt resist the rigellian outline! Also those 5 donuts from the rail yard came right after it, so I can think I got it for free 😀
