Of course I’ve been watching the game and the files all day…and when I take a break to listen to The Michael Kay Show talk about Yogi Berra, that’s when EA drops the episode tie-in (we’ve all been expecting) into our devices…
So…it’s Fall and that means and an all new season of The Simpsons will be starting up soon…which of course means, Episode Tie-Ins are back! For those of you that are newer to TSTO, Episode Tie-Ins are small updates that hit our games occasionally that tie-in with an upcoming episode of The Simpsons. Great way to get content from an upcoming show into our games!
Anywho…this one will auto-start with some dialogue between Marge and Homer. I’ll be back with some more details in just a bit…
A couple of free items and only 1 premium. Here’s a look at what’s included with this tie-in:
Initially you won’t see anything free with this…you’ll have to play through the questline to get it.
Oedipus Rx- $2,500, 24hr Build. 8×8 in size. This will unlock to build at Part 3 of Narcoelps-Zzzz.
Homer Dog- This is an NPC that’s awarded for FREE after you complete the Narcoelps-Zzzzzz questline.
Statue of Burns- 50 Donuts. Will increase your SH Real Estate Value by 800,000.

So LOADS of characters all got new tasks. Because it’s so many we’re going to do a full post about the task changes. If you notice something changed let us know in the comments, it’ll help speed up the process 🙂

Although it looks like some of the pricing needs to be adjusted because he should pay at a Premium rate, and only Tongue Flick is showing the premium rate.

I Have been reading some posts about the Homer dog and Maggie. Err, aren’t they both already in game? Don’t recall when I got Maggie but the pup showed up in a mini event a while back, the one where Homer OD’s and has hallucinations…winds up on top of the nuclear plant, fighting his demons, and we got the Insanity Cauldron, right? Or am I hallucinating now? Picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue…

Stupid question, don’t know if it’s been answered, but if you missed the tie-in update do you not get a chance to do that quest and get the items?
You have to trigger it while it is active in the game. Once that initial activation is removed… you are not able to trigger it.
Oedipus Rx – hey new Building (we need a new character like that pharmacist with a permanent Task to this Building)
Homer Dog – I got a good lol from this (shame its an NPC)

That was cool to experience. Last time I didn’t have access to TV to see the tie-in episode. It’s kind of a spoiler, though, what with the dog showing up for half a second but being an NPC in our games for a few days before. I guess it wasn’t much of a spoiler about narcolepsy since the episode wasn’t really about that.
Still, a bit fun…kind of a community experience (in my head?).
I’m wondering if Homer Dog will end up with tasks. I know he’s listed as an NPC, but my town hall list shows him as “waiting for something to do.” That’s odd, as other NPCs don’t show up on the town hall list. Hmm…
Hmmm… Homer dog is just an NPC, no tasks and animation when tapped, but is listed in the Town Hall as “waiting for something to do”? Bug, or is he going to eventually get some tasks?
Only time will tell but I’d guess he might have tasks in the future.

To my friends sorry haven’t been consistent with tapping this week received some news that devastated me & having a hard time functioning at moment. Promise to try harder to keep up with game! Know not place to post, but was here to say excited about Homer’s dog. Hopefully you will give me a little slack under circumstances! Hope everyone has a great weekend. Remember life is short so enjoy every moment you have, give the pep you love an extra hug, let them know they are important to you!

I was in the middle of building the sleep center with 3 hours to go and it has disappeared with the IRS update!
Sleep center? Do you mean the pharmacy? Double check the store to see if it’s there…if not contact EA.
I finally got a notification that the building had finished- went into my game and it updated again.
Now it is taking me through the questline again.
Pretty awesome, didn’t know that the homer dog was even in the game until i read this. I am currently just slowly building up my money and donuts in anticipation of the Halloween event. Hopefully they do something good this year, unlike last year’s borefest.. :/
P.S. Homer and Marge get a divorce.

Anyone else finding the Homer dog cute… yet creepy? If you glance at it the dog is adorable, but the longer you stare at it it’s kinda disturbing looking. LOL!
Crazy excited about all the new additions! Only thing I need now is a way to organize areas of my town as opposed to the entire thing.

I was hesitant to post this, but it looks like the disappearing icons has been fixed. I visited friends, went to Krustyland, closed and opened the game…any untapped buildings still had icons. Keeping my fingers crossed, but the iOS update may have resolved my issue…finally!

On a side note…yesterday I decided to wander into my Krustyland, which I probably haven’t been in for 6 months or more, and I saw that Fleet-a-Pita is still locked in my game. I’m level 58+, and I think that unlocked somewhere around level 40. Do I need to open a ticket with EA?
No you need to buy Luann 😉

This post has made me realise that my Stampy has gone missing. And here was me thinking I wasn’t affected by the missing characters bug. I don’t suppose there’s any way to fix this without contacting EA
Double check town hall and your inventory. If he’s not listed there, then yes you’ll have to contact EA
Alissa, you obviously know me better than I do. He was in my inventory all the time. I stored him along with a whole load of other NPCs and characters with limited tasks in case they were slowing down my game during the monorail event. But he can roam the streets again now he has proper tasks!
lol it happens. Often times stuff gets stored and forgotten..just like throwing stuff in a closet at home 😉

So:
1) Characters with joint tasks are now getting their own, individual tasks.
2) Marge now has a new 8 hour task.
3) Marge’s previous 8 hour task was an individual task, to walk Maggie…
4) Is Maggie joining the game soon?!?!?!?
Love the new tasks, but is anyone else having issues with Sideshow You since the update? I click on it and it says requirements not met, anyone else?

If I had a tail it would be wagging right now because I am so frigging excited about all the extra tasks: Barbarian, Bernice, Mr Teeny, Smithers… Oh the joyousnessness! Those things that were just a bit niggly before have been righted and all is good with the world (for now)!
theory: Marge’s new solo task without Maggie could. mean we’re getting her soon!
I’m really happy with the new tasks as I always put my characters on 4 hr tasks during the day and it was frustrating having to put characters like the rich texan and shauna on for different times. This will make game play much simpler and I will now bring Mr Teeny out of storage.

I am glad there is new 4 hour tasks for those that didn’t have them because I tend to send all of my character on 4 hour tasks as to not hold them up too long if an update hits or whatever.
