Where Did THAT Come From – Mulberry Island

Hey hey friends! In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where did THAT Come From?

Mulberry Island FP Prize

Woo to the hoo! New Friendship Prizes and Level 58! With the addition of Mulberry Island, the 19th prize to date, some of you may be wondering just where in the Best. Show. Ever. an island came from. I’m pretty stoked for this addition but I also feel our town waters need attention now and again. Let’s take look at the TV series to find this new atoll.

“The Daughter Also Rises” (S23:E13)

Initially, anyone who knows this episode might wonder why EA would add it now and not wait for Valentine’s Day but like a lot of items in the game, we’ll never know. Possible they decided they liked it back then and it took this long to add it. Maybe it was left over from then. No matter what, I’m just happy it’s a freemium friendship prize. But enough rambling by yours truly… let’s take a look at episode 499.

This Lisa-centric episode revolves around another one of her crushes. This time it’s with a crackhead. Literally, she met the boy through a crack in a booth at Luigi’s when she was spending mother-daughter time with Marge. Nick is a Hemingway-esque kiddo and was voiced by Michael Cera. Lisa loves spending time with him at quaint French café’s, the bumper cars, Moe’s and at the picturesque world-view of the miniature golf course.

Lisa Simpson Crush Nick Simpsons

Marge is concerned Lisa is spending too much time with Nick and becoming a separate person from her. Lisa goes to Grampa for advice who tells her about the story of Pyramus and Thisbe. They also met through a crack and the power of their love turned them into a tree or something.

Pyramus and Thisbe Simpsons

Lisa asks Grampa to help her abscond with her boy toy and he agrees. They use the Retirement Castle Excursion Shuttle to abscond to none other than Mulberry Island.

They want to kiss before the sunset to secure their love for all time. Too bad Nick isn’t very adventurous and the ghosts of Hemingway’s wives and trophies intervened before Lisa and Nick sealed their love for all eternity underneath the Mulberry tree.

Mulberry Island Simpsons 2

I think EA decided they liked this one when they picked up Testosterzone. I guess I like the addition of this as the 19th Friendship Prize since I wrote about it way back in January 2014. In fairness, I asked for a lot of stuff other than the island though lol. AT least EA is keeping on with this idea to entice friend visits. Works for me every time. What do you think of it? Did you earn it yet? Hope all is well in your games.

TTFN… Wookie out!

  1. Wow, I was So wrong about this. I thought it was the peice of land where Young Homer with an eyepatch met up with young Marge (think her hair was died brown or something) when they were away at camp (flashback episode, pre high schoolers back then).

Yeah I too have never seen this episode. :/

  2. So I am not the only one who hasn’t seen this episode there must be something about it for them not to show them since I have seen almost every episode from season 1-26

  3. What an appauling episode.

  4. Hmmm. Don’t remember that episode at all.
It’s annoying, they show 3 episodes a day here in the UK, and I rarely see one that isn’t really familiar, but I’m sure there are loads I barely know.
For example, it’s years since I saw the Hugo episode but do they ever show it? Do they ‘eck as like.
This one too, not even sure I’ve ever seen it, but I bet it’s not shown any time soon. Ho hum. Patience…

  5. I need to see that episode, looks like a good one to watch.

  6. I feel dumb, I thought this was in the middle of a lake based on my memories. Now that I see the pictures, it’s clearly in the sea.

  7. Thanks, big W. Did not know about this one at all!
