September (at least here in the US) means the weather gets crisper, the days start to get shorter, the leaves start to change and it’s time for the season premiere of The Simpsons! To celebrate the 27th Season (as they’ve done for season premieres in the past), TSTO launched an all new episode tie-in! And with this little weekend event arrives a couple a new episode inspired premium decoration…the Statue of Burns! Now I know you may be trying to decide if this is worth YOUR donuts, but don’t sweat it! We’re here to tell you what’s worth the donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Statue of Burns to YOUR Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this solid gold pigeon landing spot to YOUR Springfield!

-Does not offer a bonus %
-The real estate bonus offered is nice, but not worth it (you’re better off leveling up a building in SH and saving the 50 donuts)

Honestly, don’t waste your donuts on this one. The fact that it does not offer a bonus % really annoys me. For 50 donuts you should at least get a 2-2.5% bonus with this item. Instead they’re offering you an 800k real estate boost, which honestly just isn’t worth the 50 donuts in my opinion.
So unless you really love this statue…pass.
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do…and I can tell you, I’m fully passing on this one…it just doesn’t make sense for me. However, whatever you decide just remember that this statue will be leaving our stores soon, so if you’re thinking about it getting it make sure you make your final decisions before September 29th or you’ll miss your chance.

Hmm, it looks like the statue now has a 2.25% bonus as part of our March 24, 2017 “Forgotten Anniversary” mini-update. 30 donut rebate as well turned this into a must-buy for me!
Me too, saw this and had to get it as I love my % bonuses…! Works well in my French quarter too.
Total pass for me. I don’t need any more statues in my town, especially premium ones that offer no bonus.
I bought it. I placed it over by burns’ oil. Bugs me that there is no bonus %, but I dig the bird pooping on it. Although when I bought it, I thought it would have it. I started playing last year at Halloween. I loved the event. I was on a tap schedule 24/7. I hope this year’s is even more fun. By the way, I wish you could select the radius of the tapper once you’ve fully upgraded it . I sometimes would rather be very selective where I tap.

I bought it due to Mr burns being a fav of mine:) but ended up putting it in storage. The size is a little to big for my taste:) its nice though!

I saw this in a neighbors town, it is Bigger than I thought it would be. I don’t like the look of it. Unless Smithers got a permanent “Hug Statue” task I don’t see this in my future.
Something about this reminds me of the Special “K” Burns (with his muscular Roman God outfit with pine tree symbols) which appeared in the episode “The Joy of Sect” (Hopefully a future skin)

That’s where I would have put it, too, but I think it’s too pricey for what it is. I might have bought it for 15 donuts, but not for 50.

I broke down and got one cause Mr.Burns is one of my personal favorite characters. I placed it on his property and i like it there. However i can understand being reluctant on cashing in those precious yummies, especially since halloween is near!!

I don’t mind the lack of bonus % modifier for the donut price, because we are now playing in a free bonus % modifier universe (I have never, ever cared about tennis before, and now I have a court farm!). Bonus percentages now cost time, not USD! Yes, 50 donuts:0% is a crummy ratio. But 50 donuts + 20 statues:4.5% is a great ratio!!!! Finally, TSTO has found a way to stress the decorative part of their decorations. Brave New World!!! Seriously, game changer…for the time being.

EA now offers 2.25% bonus modifiers for 10 statues. Just buy a tennis court. It’s as close to free percentages as you can get, aside from some event items or star rating improvements. It’s a huge gift!!!!
Pass, saving for barneys bowlarama
Yeah I am saving for Barney’s Bowlarama too but I will probably end up wasting my doughnuts on some Halloween kitsch. I couldn’t resist buying the self raliant house in the last event, it was too good of a deal to pass up.
If the Burns statue was frowning and tenting his fingers I would be more inclined to buy it.
I am having trouble imagining saving up for Barney (250 donuts). I’m holding out for a discount. Tap Ball event would have been a good time for that offer…. (not that I had donuts)

Yes, a sale! Maybe… 😀 I would like to get Barney, but 250 donuts sure is a long hard slog to reach. There will probably always be an event with irresistible goodies or a lower priced character l don’t yet have, or Homer’s Ballet 😀 Haven’t spotted the Statue of Burn in any neighboreeno town yet.
