Due to POPULAR request….we’ve moving up our open thread time so that our friends outside of the US can participate too! Let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Now…enough rambling from me….it IS Sunday and you know what that means, right? Time for another Open Thread!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.
So…here is your Open Thread. The 27th Season of The Simpsons starts tonight, are you excited for an all new season? To go with the Season Premiere we received an episode tie-in this past week, were you excited for the new content? It was a busy TSTO week that’s for sure, as we also received not 1 but 2 enhancements to the game…the Unemployment Building and the IRS building. Two new ways to get in and out of your town just a little bit quicker. What are your thoughts on the enhancements?
Sunday Night Baseball tonight features the Pirates at the Cubs, in what could be a deciding game for home field advantage during the Wild Card Game. Sunday Night Football tonight features the Broncos at the Lions. Which will you be watching?
How was your weekend? Do anything fun and exciting? October starts this week, are you ready?

This seems rather misleading of a product. Firstly, the Girl Scouts do have a non-cookie based logo. But since they’re so associated with selling cookies…they had to put their thin mints on the cover… even though they’re not included! It’s so weird.
What if it really was thin mints they were selling and it still said “this products does not contain cookies”… Made me think of the Krusty dialogue about how their burgers contain nothing that could be counted as food. hehe.
On the vandalizing topic
I find that now starting at SH I still have to learn my friends towns again with the new directions required to get to there safe areas
Also I often tap the first three so I can look around safely
I have great friends that I know only tap accidentally and are willing to forgive when I do the same
Most importantly I try to remember that it’s a game, it’s a game, it’s a game…

Would it be an option to create a separate ‘I’m Sorry’ space for people to apologise for accidently vandalising someone?
Been reading a lot of comments today on various different pages and there are apologies mixed in everywhere…. Especially on the ‘Thank You’ page for some reason?!? 😄 I had done some ‘friend housekeeping’ in preparation for the Halloween event so was checking out the ‘Add-me’ pages and even those comments had apologies mixed in…
While vandalism doesn’t bug me, it seems that a lot of people have the need to apologise (confess?) for accidental tagging…
As always, I love your work and really appreciate you giving us such a great space to share your addiction (or do we all just have folie à plusieurs – the “madness of many” 😄) i really don’t know how you manage to find the time to do it all. You guys are the real superheroes – thank you!

We actually suggest for Players to go place it on the Vandalism thread as people go their specifically for that reason. No vandalism. So it’s easier to comment there too. Especially if you place it as a reply to their friend request.

Hey Tappers, long time reader first time poster. Just thought I would give my two cents for a change. here goes! Really looking forward to the Halloween event because I missed the last one, actually missed 2 of the last 3. I’m more excited about the yard sale thing that they usually do for people who missed things. I really hope they put up the whacking day stuff (snakes in particular ). The character that I’ve wanted to see all along is Bleeding Gums Murphy. They have ghost Maude so it’s not a stretch. Ciao for now!

Visiting is almost becoming a chore 🙂 All towns even the low level ones are taking nearly a minute to load. That with hand shakes 6+ deep in the upper left corner of my town. I only see 1 name when I clear it. I have a level 58 town. Stands to reason that my town is quite large. 3/4 of my town goes UNTOUCHED. I know time is of the essence for all of us. If I can search around for something as busy as my days are, surely others can too. Since it took so long to visit, I did half just now. I will get the rest later tonight.
I don’t understand what you’re saying…what do you mean handshakes six levels deep?
BTW, I visited you tonight, so, if you didn’t see that, maybe your game is having a problem….
Every TAPPABLE building near the entrance of Springfield Gardens and the Squidport has 6 or more hand shakes on them. When I tap the hand shake, only one name shows. The rest are stacked under it. So I have no way of knowing who all visits. I saw where you visited. You are one of a handful that actually look around my town and not just at the entrance 🙂 I contacted EA. I got an email with gibberish and haven’t heard anything else.
That’s weird… I’ve never seen stacked handshakes like that! (Well, once, maybe twice, I think I did see a double handshake…) How does that even happen? If a building’s been tapped already, it shouldn’t show as tappable to anyone else!
