It’s Halloween in Springfield! And several of the youngsters have costumes available in the store to help get into the festive Halloween spirit! Now I know you may be trying to decide if these are worth YOUR donuts, but don’t sweat it! We’re here to tell you what’s worth the donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Radioactive Milhouse, Saxophone Lisa or Wizard Martin to your Halloween party? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding these festive kids to your festivities!
Because all three costumes are so similar in their Pros and Cons, as well as what they do I decided to combine them all into one post.
Character/Skin: Radioactive Man Milhouse

Character/Skin: Wizard Martin

The following are Pros and Cons that apply to all 3…
Pros:
-Comes with a quest line
-Premium character earns 50% more on all cash and xp than a freemium character
-Has some amusing outdoor tasks
-Earn at a premium rate at the campfire
Cons:
-Will not help with the THOH Event (in other words there characters still earn at the freemium rate at the Campfire) Update on 10/21 corrected this
-None of the characters have a full set of tasks
-Expensive for costumes that don’t come with a building/decoration
Final Thought:
Premium or Freemium:
Personally these are probably a pass for most. They don’t really do much and their tasks are limited. While it’s fun to have the characters dress up, there’s no real added benefit to having these guys in your town. So for the most part I’d pass. However, if you really love one of the costumes then go for it. Since most premium decisions come down to if you like it or not.
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do…and I can tell I’ll most likely pass on all three of these. However, this IS a limited-time item. So if you’re thinking about getting one of them make sure you make your final decision before they leave our games at the end of the Halloween Event.

Just to check before I purchase, Wizard Martin only has one 4hr premium rate task? Is that correct?

I found a typo that seems to have slipped through over the last two years.

It sounds as if you receive 75 donuts as a prize for obtaining him.
Saxophone Lisa is for 75 donuts now as well, I don’t know when exactly tey changed the prize, but it makes it even more off putting
The martin skin is tempting, if only because the task with CBG looks great.
No way I’m wasting donuts on these, considering I bought previous Halloween skins(witch marge, devil flanders) thinking I’d be able to utilize them to harvest event currency in the future. Lesson learned.
Witch Marge is a totally worth it purchase, even if she’s never used in an event again. Her ability to speed Triffids really helps one to accrue more XP, and, therefore, bonuts. Plus, she’s got some great animations and came with a cauldron that provides a bonus multiplier. Honestly one of the most valuable premium purchases I’ve ever made in this game!

I’m shocked EA hasn’t brought back Halloween Gems from 2012-2013-2014 for those who couldn’t earn them via a Past Event to spend Donuts on!
Then again? It’s only Act 1 / October 9th (EA has to introduce some choice Halloween stuff into the Store)! 😉
Sigh, I bought them before reading this post. Oh well. . .
But, one of the main reasons I purchased them was because I couldn’t find the old costumes. Are they bringing those back?
Nope, those were just part of task that’s not involved with the 2015 event.
These costumes are tagged as new instead of limited time in the store, so I don’t think they’ll be leaving with the end of the event. Just a little thing that might change some peoples thought process for buying these.
They’re part of the event…scheduled to leave when the event ends.
I must be honest that I first thought Lisa was dressed as a Mutant Vegetable…

Is there a suggestion post somewhere which kid characters is smart to buy know, so we can have more s’mores per 4 hours? I’m a lvl 58 player, have a lot of kids already, but was thinking to buy another one, not sure which one yet. Tips?
Nope because the benefits for each with relation to this event are exactly the same. The only difference is Sherri and Terri since they pay out 16 instead of 8. Otherwise buy the kid you like…

I don’t get why Bart’s is also Clockwork Orange like Moe’s and why bother with Milhouse when we have had a superhero event already? It feels very poorly thought out. Of all the THOH’s we already have had surely they could have found much better
Moog is new, however Clockwork Bart is a classic costume for Bart. Its his famous outfit for Halloween. That’s why he gets it and I love how it looks TBH
