When hinges creak in doorless chambers, and strange and frightening sounds echo through the halls. Whenever candlelights flicker, where the air is deathly still. That is the time when ghosts are present, practicing their terror with ghoulish delight! That’s right friends! HALLOWEEN IS UPON US! Of course, with a brand new event, comes a ton of new stuff and thankfully one of my jobs here is to tell you just where new items come from. I know we all can’t watch the Best. Show. Ever. as often as some fuzzballs and even though items might seem familiar, a lot of things blur together and you just can’t pinpoint just where you saw it. That’s why we decided to make a fun lil feature for just this predicament. To let you know just Where did THAT Come From?
This WDTCF will go over one of the new premium skins EA made available with Act One of the 2015 Halloween Event… Wizard Martin. But when and where did he actually dress up like this? Is it actually from a Treehouse of Horror episode? Let’s check out the TV Series to find out.
Treehouse of Horror VI (S7:E6)
The “Nightmare on Evergreen Terrace” segment of this episode is my favorite but as anyone who read either of my WAWW (2014/2015), I really wanted Willie in his Freddy costume. This skin comes as a close second though since it comes from the same segment. Willy is terrorizing the kiddos of Springfield in their dreams. The first one he actually murders is Martin and I bet you can guess what he was dreaming about.
That’s right friends, he was a wizard, Harry, errr I mean Martin. The funniest part is that he’s not a wizard of magic… he’s a Latin wizard. “I am the wondrous wizard of Latin. I am a dervish of declension and a conjuror of conjugation with a million hit points of maximum charisma. Ha ha! Morior: to die. Morit: he, she or it dies.” Is it any wonder that Willie shows up to say “Moris: you die.”? Martin “mastered a dead tongue” but couldn’t “handle a live one.”
I like this new skin but it does make me sad that Willy didn’t get the Freddy skin to terrorize all these children who have brought evil to our towns. Did you remember this skin from the show? What do you think of it? Did you purchase it? While this is not a Should I Buy, I think I do have to say you can still see this skin when Martin tells his campfire story for anyone who’s trying to save their donuts.Sound off in the comments with your thoughts and keep on making those s’mores and telling spooky stories by the campfire.

I got it wrong, When I saw the costume my memory went straight to the Mathmagician (a guy doing math “magic” at Martin’s Party) and pictured Martin in that get up in that scene but obviously not. At least his outfit makes a little more sense now.
EA really messed up, An Event about Nightmares and no Freddy/Willy (even a rumored Battle, sounds like will not contain Him nor any of his creepy forms). Freddy/Willy, Fire and chard Bones Willy, Tractor Willy, Bagpipe Monster Willy…. Not even Axe in the Back Willy from other verious THOHs.
Tsk, Tsk, EA. Themes aren’t meant to be taken lightly. Seriously, How do you sleep at night (EA)?

Trevon-Loyd— i agree with you. I dont think the spawning rate is always accurate. I am level 16 on campfire and it rarely gives off the same amount of smashables. Also, I dont think im getting the correct amount of resources for the amount of s’mores the kids make. My math rarely matches what i recieve. While im no calculator, i cant be wrong each time. So you are not alone!

Ironically one of my top favorite treehouse of Horror tales and that was the only one of the three costumes I didn’t like. Now Willie Kruger would be really awesome. He could roll around town in the form of a tractor mower monster.
Off topic, but does anyone else feel like their campfire isn’t spawning nightmares at the appropriate rate? I understand that they spawn every 15 minutes, but with a level 13 campfire I am only getting one per spawn cycle. 1 x 1.05 (13 times over) is 1.89 rounded. If EA uses generally acceptable rounding rules, I should be getting 2 every 15 minute cycle. Am I missing something?
I thought it was only speeding up the spawn cycle by 5% per upgrade. At Level 13 you should be spawning every 8.1 minutes. That’s equal to 15 x .95 as the Level 2 time. Then THAT time x .95 as the Level 3 time. And so on.
So with no rounding you’d be spawning 2 every 16.2 minutes…
…I think.

hard close and restart your game. If that doesn’t work try uninstalling/reinstalling. If that still doesn’t work try loggin in from another device. If you’re still having problems, or you don’t have another device, contact EA. Your town isn’t lost as long as you have an Origin/EA id.
I can pass on this costly lil lame get up! I absolutely cant stand martin so yea… but im thrilled with the 20 shopkeeper donuts and i did purchase the drive in/spacemutant who scored me 10 donuts upon quest completion! 30 donuts today! Hardly a fraction of what ive spent but thats the way at EA! Thats biznis! Question: Does the victorian spaceship do anything or offer quests? I want it however dont feel its worth it unless it offers something cool.
If you have both aliens there’s a 10 hr quest that they splice together, and a 16 hr quest where they wear Victorian era hats while one holds a tea cup and the other has a pipe.
Same here, Martin’s one of the only characters I don’t like, right after Frink. Nothing against nerds though! They just annoy me to no end.
It’s the only one of the three costumes I was interested in. But still too rich for my blood.

I think Martin’s costume was a spoof of a character from the 3rd Nightmare One Elm Street film. Where the character dreams himself to be the “Wizard Master”.

I absolutely agree. “Faster than a bastard maniac. Stronger than a local madman. Its, Super Freddy!” (I know this is a different Freddy kill but it’s one of my favorite quotes.) Doesn’t he say something like “Sorry kid… I don’t believe in Fairy Tales” when he offs the Wizard Master? I like Willy’s line better lol.
