We’re nearing the end of Act 1 and preparing for Act 2 to start tomorrow, but something else restarted today…the Shopkeeper’s Challenges!
So let’s take a look at what you’ll need to do for 5 days during week 2 to earn bonus crafting currency and 20 bonuts!
Sorry these weren’t up before today’s task started, but I like to just double check with what the files are saying and what my game shows. Just as an extra “ok it’s on track”.
Here’s what the Shopkeeper has in store for us this week…

Remember all new tasks unlock at 8am your local time….
A Note About the Hugo Challenge (Tuesday, Day 2):
Today’s (Tuesday) Shopkeeper Challenge is:
A LOT of you are getting confused because it says make S’mores..and s’mores are no longer available as a currency in the game. HOWEVER…this is simply telling you to have Hugo do the task of “making s’mores”, i.e. Roasting them at the campfire (since that task box says “send youngsters to make s’mores”). So simply do Hugo’s task there and it will clear this task for you.
I promise it’s that simple and it’ll work. Don’t over think this (or any other aspect of this game) it’ll just give you a headache…

Why I don’t know but my other half hasn’t got the shops to update to the challenges What does he have to do to get the Halloween stores so he can have fun with cameras. It says he is falling behind and needs to start the part 3. Help
You have to get the Kill E Mart Skin unlocked and made in Crafting section. Then the task for adults there is called “Have Fun With Cameras”. So once you have skin you tap on Kwik E Mart Skin for Kill E Mart and scroll down to assign adults the task.

I finished the challenge, didn’t get any donuts and started the new challenge (squish 30 bunnies) must have squished 50 and it still says 0/30 🙁

extremely annoying this morning with EA’s little oopsy daisy. of course i had to go online to find out that this was an error. i hope we get some donuts out of this … 🙂
You will. You’ll get 20 at the end of the week when you complete all 5 tasks 😉
Having the same problem, squishing bunnies, and country stands on zero. Rather annoying. Hope it gets fixed soon.
EA oopsed. Supposed to be skeletons

Hi Guys,
I just started Day 1 of the Shopkeeper’s challenge this morning (Squish 30 Bunnies) and I can’t get the counter to move off zero. I have tried hard closing the game and going to Kustyland and back, but no matter what I do I can’t get the counter to move off zero.
I am on iOS but my wife (who is on Android) is having the same issue.
Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

Hasn’t started here yet, but some players are reporting it’s skeletons not bunnies. Says bunnies but skeletons clear it
Thanks for this information. I am experiencing this too. Mildly (!) inconvenient, to be sure. Thankfully the Addicts are here to help. How do people who don’t come here figure this stuff out?

Same problem here: the challenge says I have to squish bunnies but the counter corresponds to the skeletons on which I tap.
Also had the similar issue with bunnies and no count read Alissa comment and tried with skeletons and count increased thank you Alissa 👍🏼 This forum is of great help thank you #team #greatwork👌🏼👏🏼

In my case, I’m stuck at 15/30 bunnies and won’t move forward. OTL Also tried restarting and going to Krustyland and back. However, the Act 2 gummy meter seems normal and the spooky campfire is working too.

Same problem, I have iOS and iPhone 6. Have squished a tonne of bunnies and nothing has happened.

I’ve sent Hugo to make s’mores twice now and am not getting credit for the day 2 job… Any ideas? It’s really pissing me off tbh…
Did you try doing it through the challenge menu? Hitting “do it”
I completed day 4th challenge but didn’t get the reward. It’s not my inventory nor I placed it. Do you know how can I get it? Should I report it?
The reward is crafting currency. So it won’t be in your inventory and you won’t be able to place it. It’s just more currency to craft. So your brains should go up by 100.
I messed up by sending Hugo on the 24 hour attic task last night… only to discover he was needed this morning! D’oh!
It seems worth spending the 2 donuts to rush the task (he has 2 hours left). However, there are only 4 hours 10 minutes until the day 3 challenge comes out… and I doubt I’ll be waking up that early! If I put him on the 4 hour task now and don’t wake up until after the tasks reset, will I ruin my streak and lose out on the donuts? Should I rush Hugo’s S’mores task, too – or is that a waste of donuts?
I think you are good. Im pretty sure that you can complete a challenge on the next day and still be able to get the donuts but im not 100% sure on that.
you get the whole week to complete the tasks so you can just wait to send him on the task until after he’s done with the one he’s on now. Even if day three’s unlocks before then you can still work on both! As long as you get them done by Monday morning sometime you’re fine! You’ll still get the donuts.

So far, loving this event. However, when I went to craft track pieces with my saved up recyclables this morning, my progress bar went to 7,438 of 5000, and way outside it’s little box. No track awarded. Is this a common problem?
Yes. Go to Krustyland and back or visit a neighbor and come back. Just needs to resync itself.
EA are being so generous with that huge amount of donuts every week I would o thought they would only give us 5 donuts!!! I do also very much enjoy these easy challenges they are pretty fun!
The reason they are doing it, and giving away premium characters for free is because they are running out of content. The game iscnearing the end as every character building and item is already in the game, and they want to squeeze the last $$$ out.
Yay game ending rumors! Gotta love those conspiracy theories. I’ve been hearing the same line for the last 2 years…yet here we are, still here.
My suggestion as to why we getting 80-100 free donuts is a black Friday sale of some sort is coming. Where EA hopes to get some more money by people being just a few donuts short of popular characters. For instance if they reduced Herb to 150 and people now have 100 free already its “only” 50 more…
Make sure you check your settings to turn the auto donuts off again… It turned on for me after I got the 20 donuts last week.. Just an FYI.
I had the kids roasting s’mores and when they were done I tapped on multiple Bunnies at once. I only received 10 awards instead of 30. I have had this problem a number of times when I tap right after the kids are done roasting. Please help.
I’d say let them spread out more and see if that helps.

Turns out it’s 8 am local time where you were when the first challenges hit. I was on vacation then and now mine don’t start till 11 am local time.
Hope that gets adjusted next week.
Ugh that’s annoying
Noticed an advertisement for ‘Huggies’ diapers alongside the comments/posts. Is this a tie-in with Alissa’s baby coming? If so, brilliant! Maybe gain additional revenue with tie-ins to other often mentioned personal interest subjects of the moderators such as baseball (playoffs) and Star Wars (new movie), etc. Targeted ads may bring in more money.
On another note, how is Bunny doing? Miss her posts. Thank you Alissa and Wookie and Bunny for all your efforts!

Hi Tappers, I am at 8350 S’mores and will probably get to 8900 s’mores by the end of tonight. I really want the gate to nowhere and was wondering if i can still buy it when act 2 starts so I dont have to get up at 4:00 in the morning to purchase it. Thanks, SkySticker
You should be able to purchase it once Act 2 starts (which is how it’s been for previous events), but we won’t know for sure until it starts.
You can “buy” it before you go to bed tonight, by rushing the last S’mores with donuts. It will probably be cheaper than waiting. If past events are anything to go by, you will have to pay significantly more once the next act starts.
I really wish we could get the shopkeeper as a bonus for completing all the tasks or even just added as a premium character. He always reminds me of the shopkeeper in gremlins and I love those films!
I am definitely not going to get the last prize :(. For those who have already won it – is it worth paying the donuts to unlock it before the end of Act 1?Thanks 🙂
I’d wait and earn as many s’mores as you can before Act 1 ends. It’ll probably be available for donut purchase once Act 2 starts..and the more s’mores you have the less it will cost.
Personally, I don’t think it’s worth paying donuts for. Especially since crafting currency is so easy to get. But here are some details on what it is/does…

Thanks Alissa. That’s exactly what I am doing, trying to get as many s’mores as possible before the end to lower the donut price. I’m currently about 700 s’mores away but still looking at 80 donuts to purchase.
I’ve really found the s’mores really difficult to collect, I play regularly daily and my campfire is at level 19 but the s’mores are very slow going!
Not worthy of donuts save them for something better ☆

Just a quick question for long time players……… I’ve heard a few of you talking about donuts from friend actions? I’m relatively new but have maxed out on friends but I have never got a donut from a friends town, is this normal?
you’ve got to have your friend points maxed out. Basically after you’ve earned all the available friendship prizes you’ll have a chance to get free donuts when you tap on things in your neighbor’s town.

Will it be possible to get Hugo to make S’mores for Tuesday’s task? I thought that when Act 2 started, the kids would be generating a new currency at the campfire, or possibly somewhere else in the town. Isn’t the ability to make s’mores going away at the end of Act 1?
The task is called make s’mores. The currency right now is s’mores, doesn’t mean it won’t change to a different payout in act 2. Same action, different payout.
That’s a good point. So either Alissa’s table should really say “Make Hugo Make [2nd Act Currency To Be Named Later]”, or else EA goofed up and will ask us to perform an action that it disabled earlier that same day. I guess we’ll find out on Tuesday.
