Just a little reminder that Act 1 of the THOH Event is set to end tomorrow morning at 0800 GMT (4am EDT). So you’ve got a few hours left to collect those last minute S’mores and unlock the remaining Act 1 Prizes (for free).
So what will happen to the Act 1 Prizes when Act 2 hits? Well, like every event, we don’t know for sure. Our guess is they’ll at least be available for purchase via donuts…but we won’t know for sure what will happen until Act 2 officially starts. So do all you can, while you can.
What about the crafting prizes/currency? What items will be disappearing? What happens when Act 2 starts? Let’s address some of your concerns below the fold…
Is The Gate to Nowhere Worth Spending Donuts on?
In my opinion, it’s not. But we’ve got more details on what it is/does in this post. That should help you make your own decision about spending donuts if needed on it.
My best advice on it is…keep tapping away to get those S’mores (remember you can ONLY get S’mores from having the kids roast them at the campfire and clearing nightmares in your own Springfield. You cannot earn them from neighbor actions, including Formless Terrors). Get as many S’mores as you can before Act 2 starts…the more you have the lower your donut cost will be on the Gate to Nowhere should you decide to buy it.
Will the Currency Carry Over?
S’mores will not carry over to Act 2. Just like every other event the prize currency will change to something else and it’ll reset to 0.
Will Crafting Currency Carry Over, or Should I Use it All Right Now?
Crafting Currency (which is NOT prize currency) will carry over to Acts 2 and 3. Remember Crafting Currency is 
. Those will ALL carry over and be used for Acts 2 and 3, so don’t worry about spending it all right this second.
Will the Crafting Items From Act 1 Carry Over to Act 2?
Yes. The items you can craft right now will still be available to craft when Act 2 starts.
Should I Use My Formless Terrors or Save them For Act 2 to Start?
Use them. They don’t generate prize currency, only crafting currency. And since crafting currency carries over just use them up now.
What’s Disappearing From the Store?
Only two premium items will be disappearing from the store once Act 2 starts…
The Shinning Maze- 55 Donuts. Earns a 2.25% bonus on all cash and XP. This item leaves the store when Act 1 ends. Should I Buy
Ancient Ruins- 55 Donuts. Earns a 2.25% bonus on all cash and XP. This item leaves the store when Act 1 ends. Should I Buy
Everything else will remain in the store for now.

I was able to get the final prize quite a while ago on my main town because I have tons of kids. I think I have about 5 premium kids. I’m a freemium player, but I have gotten quite a few through events, Gil sales and weekly gift boxes (I think I have all the gift box kids now).
I concentrated on upgrading my campfire as much as possible and got it up to level 19 or so, so it was spawning nightmares like crazy.
There certainly is a lot to do right now with daily quests, the rest of the event, the railyard every Tuesday morning (I’ve been getting it done by the end of Friday lately) and still chugging along on Springfield Heights.
My secondary town only has a few kids. It’s only level 30 and is behind on quests, so I just got Ralph the other day. I didn’t get the final prize, but I’m not too upset.
I also didn’t do the monorail event in that town and only just opened Springfield Heights, so it is way farther behind. Space is at a premium there too as I don’t seem to be earning money very quickly.
Again no new characters this act. Pretty disappointing. Only recycled Character 8(
WHAT THE HECK?!? How is anyone supposed to be able to earn the final prize from act 1 without spending donuts?? I’m a pretty regular tapper, I check in every 1-2 hours and I still couldn’t make enough smores to get the final prize! This is truly unfair, how can EA live with themselves knowing the VAST majority of players have little to no chance of earning the final prize (portal to nowhere)?? Can you make a poll asking what percentage of people actually made it to the final prize? I feel really bad that this is such a poorly planned event… 🙁

I made it several days ago, and I’m a complete freemium player.
If you really checked every 1-2 hours it should be easy. But only if you are a able to visit your city during the day. On my main account i got it because i could check it during work. But with my second account which i can only visit before work and 2-3 times during the evening it is pretty much impossible. Pretty dissapointing for me but at least i got it on my Main Account
I found that with check-ins roughly every 4 hours (i.e. morning before leaving, lunch, after work, and then just before bed), I was able to complete everything days in advance – forget which day it was, but well in advance. Rail yard, on the other hand, is frustrating to say the least.
During Act 1 I was working which meant I could log in in the morning and then when I got home – so my kids would only tell stories twice per day.
I was also too tired to visit neighbours, and it took too long to do it anyway.
I still finished the event with at least 3 days to spare.
OK, I have *some* premium characters, but not loads. Of the kids I have SVT, Kearney and Jimbo (don’t know why I’ve got Jimbo). Basically, unless you’re on a really low level, finishing the Act 1 prizes was a piece of cake.
I just bought the outfit for kodos and she is flying around flirting with human males and if you accidentally touch her I’m immediately sent to the Simpson’s house I tried speeding this up as it was getting annoying in a huge town because she follows you anyway when I rushed it it now will not allow me to be done with that questline its stuck. Anyone else having this issue how can I fix it?
It’s something I’ll have to play around with when it’s not quarter to 5 here 😉
Already crafted all the rigellian thanksgiving things for act 2 😂😂. Loving kodos already!!
Sooooo happy that I can craft Kodos in Act 2 (and so very cheap since crating materials can be easily acquired)! ;D

I also waited to the last possible minute and then crafted it for 30 donuts. That is a lot for me as a fremium player, but I think it is a cool decoration and this event is doling out a lot of donuts so I am okay with it. Hopefully I’ll be able to avoid the last minute tapping in Act 2.

I literally got the gate with 45 minutes to spare. I ahven’t been that close to the wire on any event for ages. I missed a couple of days due to family commitments, and don’t tap during work hours, but got there in the end! Although I’m a completely freemium player, it definitely helped having some of the premium kids, either from past events, or from mystery boxes.
I really wish there was a way you could give smores to your friends that are running behind. Especially when they’re not giving you bonuts for the extras, I don’t see the harm in it. I have over 14K (spent too much $$$ on donuts for kids this year) and would love to be able to share the overage.
I liked Act 1 and am looking forward to Act 2. I saw pictures from the files on another site (I know, I know, don’t count on anything until it actually happens in the game 🙂 and am very happy about some stuff but massively disappointed I don’t see any pumpkin patches. Available for a small amount of game cash every other time and maybe nothing this time? It seems like a silly thing to be upset over but I really, REALLY love pumpkin patches and was so looking forward to them. Fingers crossed they’ll still make an appearance.

Really like this event so far. I’ve been able to get all the Act One prizes, including the gate. The timing worked out well since I just got it.
The crafting prizes aren’t that great so far, so I have lots of crafting currency to carry over for Act Two. Also, some of the crafting prizes I already had from last year’s event.
Looking forward to what Act Two has in store!
I’ve literally haven’t been off tapped out since it started and I’m over 1000 smores away from the last prize and my sister whose barely on it has reached it, she’s only got a few extra kids than me. Majorly annoyed. Anyone else had that problem?
Yeah I had the same problem, still need about 300 smores, not sure if I should spend donuts to get the gate or not… I have so much crafting currency, I have a feeling I could craft it right away, or they make me pay way too many donuts for it and I’d have to pass.
I have reached every other goal though so it’s very frustrating!
I’m not going to spend the donuts on it. I got everything else inc the shop challenge and all the crafting items. I just feel a little cheated with the amount of effort I put in for what turned out to be an impossible goal. Y’know unless I decided to sleep…I’ve already stopped pretending to work..

Didn’t get halfway to Gate to nowhere because my 14 kids only generate 60 smores every four hours. No idea how you got to 700 on a daily basis without a ton more kids.
I’ve got 13 kids and I made it, no problem. Did you upgrade your campfire much? That might’ve made a difference.
I’m at level 10 for campfire. I wish there was some math out there for tapping nightmares because I’ve been logging in every four hours when the campfire resets. 5 x 60 smores = 300 a day, where does the other 400 come from? How many nightmares does the campfire produce and how often? I started logging in every 2 hrs and that didn’t help. I maybe get 30 nightmares every 4 hours so then I’m at 5 x 90 = 450, not 700. I think it’s a glitch.
What are the chances we will be able to craft missing prizes? I’ve been tapping like Mad since it started but I’m still 2000 short for the gate.
I don’t see coding in the files for crafting Act 1 prizes.
