Just when you think it’s safe to go to sleep…or in my case write some Act 2 related posts….EA drops yet another episode tie-in on us! This time featuring the upcoming Treehouse of Horror Episode (to air this Sunday).
As usual more information as we go through it..but for now know that Homer starts things off…

Ghouls and Gluttons Pt.1
Homer: Boy, I can’t believe I let you talk me into taking you fishing. It’s so boring.

Homer: Ugh. I don’t even like to eat fish. It’s so lean and protein-y and…O.M.God..there’s a donut floating in the pond! Gimme that stick!
Bart: It’s called a fishing pole. And what do you want with a soggy donut?
Homer: It will be a sad day when I pass up a donut just because it’s wet and covered in algae.
Bart: Fine. But this time I’m just dropping you off at Urgent Care. I can’t spend another Saturday waiting while you get your stomach pumped.
Homer: Deal.

Completing this task will earn you 1 free donut. (and then some as you play through the questline)

Bob’s Victorian House- 100 Donuts. Instant Build. Earns $500, 4xp/24hrs. 8×5. Comes with a 1 part questline involving Sideshow Bob…
A few other features of this update….
-Wizard Martin, Saxophone Lisa and Radioactive Milhouse now all earn the premium rate (4 nightmares instead of 2) at the Campfire (i’ve updated the SIB post to reflect)
-When leaving Formless Terrors in a neighbor’s town…it now lets you drop them all in one spot, instead of jumping all over the town placing them. Saves lots of time when leaving them for neighbors.
-And as we mention in the question corner post from earlier today, the app store update from earlier restored the Unemployment Office functions.

I know i’m late but I just unlocked sideshow bob today, and now I don’t see Bob’s Victorian House anywhere on the items list… I’m very saddened that it’s not there, the houses for character always usually pop up in the items list after you unlock the certain character for it, this upsets me greatly… I don’t know why it’s not there..
It was a limited time item for that episode tie-in. That’s why it’s gone now

You need a fairly large open area of grass, with nothing on it. If you’re still having issues, contact EA
Hello there. Question: this pond… After you complete the quest line, does it serve any purpose? Does it just decorate? Does it add to any of the 5-star metrics? It seems you cannot continue to use it to harvest more and more donuts each week, (which would have been cool, but alas…)

I cant place the ancient ornamental pond, I had too many empty expansios on both, the land and the sea, but still I cant place it anywhere !
Someone else has this problem. It should go on grass only. If you’re still having issues I’d contact EA
I think these posts are great…so helpful. I enjoyed the game before but now that I joined this community I have learned so much and I’m much further than I would have been on my own. Thank you all!!!

Last night I sent all my kids to roast smores, after the update this morning only the story teller and the premium kids were still at it, the others got kicked out and were roaming the town. What’s up with that? Side effect of updating Lisa, Martin and Milhouse to premium status?
I think so…but not sure. It’s happened to just about everyone, myself included.

Hmm, the office of unemployment is back now, but it does not seem to be fixed. I just tried to send all the characters not releted to the event on 1h jobs, but I still had to manually send an additional ten manually to their jobs.
Yup, it’s back but not fixed.
Apologies if this has been covered but I haven’t seen it. Did update on both android device and ios phone but unemployment office still not working right on android (80, 60, 50, 40) but ios all 100/101 available.
It just restored it, it’s still not fixed.
Hi, do you know if Bob’s Victorian House is a limited time item or is it here to stay? In my game it’s only showing as “new”. Thanks. Great site!

I just had a thought,…..at the moment there are a lot of players with donuts burning a hole in their pockets, ……well if there’s a new level added, you’ll get the chance to buy stuff “early access” but this is a waste of your donuts as you’ll unlock the stuff in the normal way when you reach level 59 …..
You know that bit in that prayer…..”and lead us not into temptation”….. that’s what it refers to……impulsive donut spending !

I thought early access costs donuts the same as if you are at that level or money if you’re at that level. Last level update it offered me some items for money purchase. I don’t think it switches to donuts. In other words, why should they wait? It will cost them the same amount of donuts all the same.
“Updated and Complete” and “We’ll pick the questline back up in another post” are kinda contradictory.
Not really. It means the POST was updated and our findings of info for the new content are COMPLETE at this time. You know, cuz we like to verify EVERYTHING for accuracy. Kinda what we do.
It doesn’t mean “hey there’s 50 pages of data and as we know you LOVE to spend hours on one post, we’re gonna cram every tiny detail in one spot. 10000 words bout to spew out all over you. Get comfy. You’re gonna be a while as you are about to read a novel. Good luck figuring out where to stop and start”.
Not to mention it does take our personal time and OUR precious donuts to go through the details too to get all questlines triggered and completed. Or buy everything offered.
There’s a reason we do things the way we do. How bout a “hey, thanks for the information” ? 😉

I can’t access my game after the new update. Every time I am about to get on it it goes to the home screen. Sorry if this is a stupid question.
Try a full uninstall/reinstall of the game.

I haven’t had it for a while
today I got 5 (five!) free donuts from visiting my friends.
I am playing since 2012 and the max I ever got was 3 donuts.
very happy day!
I cant get into either of my games. Since 5am my time (its now 3.30pm. All I’m getting is a few seconds of look & since 3pm just a balck screen. It’s not me or my internet. It’s EA! I’ve tried all day. Wasted a chance of donuts on shopkeeper challenge & the rail yard, not to mention daily log in bonus. Should I contact EA?
PS DEXTROUS 1 & 2 are out of action to all neighbours! Sorry! Not my fault.

Basically the Impossible Tower can be placed on water! And it looks awesome next to the Sunken Temple. Just place 4 Squidport tiles next to the ST, place the IT on that, go into move mode, hide buildings, store the tiles, and voila! I was really wondering where I was gonna place that thing!
If any neighbours wanna see, it’s waaay out at the end of my SH.
Was thrilled and surprised to see this tie-in. Awesome. And I for one love the size as well. I didn’t want some tiny thing that would be hidden behind my spooky forest.
I was on a lunch break and seeing that some folks had lost their pond, I just checked. Mine is still there.
I did seem to have all the kids stop their make s’mores task, or perhaps they were auto completed. However Bart was still telling his Tale.
I did app store update as well. Started quests….just got another update & everything is gone!
