It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.
So…here is your Open Thread. An all new episode of The Simpsons airs tonight, The Treehouse of Horror episode, are you excited for it? To go along with this week’s new episode we also received an episode tie-in. What are your thoughts on the tie-in? Act 2 of THOH started Tuesday morning, are you enjoying it so far?
The World Series is set…Mets vs. Royals…and starts on Tuesday. Thoughts on the Series this year?
Sunday Night Football tonight features the Eagles at the Panthers. Something you’ll be checking out? Did your team play earlier today? How’d they do?
How was your weekend? Do anything fun and exciting? Getting your Halloween costumes ready? What will you be giving out this year?

I’m sorry if this has been answered. I looked through a few posts and didn’t see anything. I am looking to get more snake eggs. I know I can get them by having the campfire spawn them and visit neighbors who have them, but I notice that formless terrors give you resources as well. Is there any rhyme or reason what they will give you from neighbors harvesting them or sending them to your town? Or is it just random? Thanks!

HELP!! Game is stuck!! Akira competed 12hr job and I was awarded a bonsai tree. When I hit ok on the pop up it will not go away. I can’t do anything. Tried hard reset and logging out them back in. Is uninstalling and reinstalling going to help? Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks!!
Try restarting your device. If not, then as long as you’re linked to an EA account uninstall may be best next
A similar bug happened during the THOH episode tie-in, with the last donut fishing task. It was solved by tapping the event icon (the tentacle goblet). One of the other icons might work, too. Good luck!

I can’t imagine this is only in my game, but I haven’t seen anyone else mention it, so idk…
I’ve was working hard on upgrading my campfire for the increased spawn rate, and then noticed I wasn’t getting what I should be. Checked several times and apparently it caps at 30/hour despite continuing to promise an increase of 5% 🙁 That means beyond level 42-43 there isn’t a spawn rate increase… Has anyone gotten more? Seems lame to keep saying it’ll increase when it won’t…
Sraige Arturas worked that out two weeks ago, ….don’t waste your time going beyond level 41 as there’s no noticeable increase ….just get zombies and craft wailing walls for bonus%increase 🎃 🎃 🙂

Already working on that, but since my in game handle is DearthNadir, can’t seem to find an image of Gonzo in costume that isn’t too dark, or the wrong position etc.

No so much any more. We used to have a moderator there but his life got crazy. And we’re so busy on this end it’s hard to keep up with it..
What is it? I went to check it out, but it seems to require registering for a Proboard account (and maybe installing the Tapatalk app?).
Honestly, that’s why I haven’t really gone there. If I can’t lurk first then I won’t be signing up just to do so. Hence why I asked if there was any activity….
Apart from a couple of comments from Monday (when squish Bunnies meant squish zombies),…….nobody has posted anything there in over a year,

Lee – Moving this thread up to the top… Saw Four Candles….clever! The vibe of the show reminds me a little of the old Carol Burnett show – are you familiar with that? In that skit, Ronnie C. looked a little like Tim Conway (with maybe a bit of Bob Newhart) in his facial expressions.

I’ll see what I can do, but I really do have to focus on clearing dime of that backlog….having a job really gets in the way of my keeping up with my TV watching. (I used to be able to do both simultaneously, but I’ve noticed that, in recent years, my ability to multitask has significantly diminished. Yet another unpleasant side effect of aging. 🙁 )

We didn’t get treated to that in England, seen it on YouTube now, it looks late sixties/early seventies ……there was a lot of good comedy around back then. Or maybe we just remember it more fondly because we were younger …..Happy Friday 🎃 🙂

I’d like to appologize to neighbors of DearthNadir (me) for my inability to squish monsters as often as I usually do the past 48 hours. My apartment building complex ended up having a standoff between the idiot across the hall from me and the cops. The standoff is over, I am ok, no one was injured. They got the guy peacefully after pretty much the whole day of back and forth. They had the police, the SWAT team, the negotiator here and everything. When I exitted my apartment, all I had time to do was grab my keys, cell, and a jacket, left the tablet and TSTO logged on. It was like living CSI. Don’t know what he allegedly did, but apparently they got the guy up on multiple charges and was considered to have access to a weapon, hence why we had to evacuate.

Thank you both for the sentiment, yes I and my family are perfectly fine, but it was definitely a scary situation. Didn’t realize the extent of it until I was instructed to evacuate once a knock was on my door, and don’t say anything, come to find 20 (or so) Police, RCMP, FBI, negotiators and whatnot outside my door. At least it went down peacefully, no gun shots were fired, worst of it was their door broken down. Wouldn’t be the first time cops were at their door (as I think I’ve mentioned before) but was never to this degree. Looks like they will have to go apartment hunting soon (I hope) At least that’s how it sounded when I talked to the Super about the situation.
zzzzzzzzzz darn World Series gonna give me high blood pressure. Hoping my favorite squadron can come back tonight in 9 short innings.
Just got Tentacorp so there’s really no reason to go for more gummies. They won’t stick around for Act 3, correct? Working on wailing walls and upgrades. And whatever the evil shopkeeper tells me to do. I want those 20 donuts.
Enjoying the screenshots of all your fancy designs. My Springfield is a mess. I place items for convenience. I repeatedly tell myself that after the next event I’m going to start over but I never do and before I know it there’s another event.
Alissa, how are you feeling? I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes quickly and smoothly for you! Third trimester was difficult for me- I hope you’re enjoying it more than I did, and getting more sleep!
Not bad. Almost done with work (Friday’s my last day), so hopefully after that i’ll be a little less stressed lol 🙂

Got to say how much I appreciate all the hard work that goes into producing all the ‘Halloween for Dummies’ posts since the event started – it would not be much fun without all the info you provide. And I really hope that EA acknowledges how much work you save them and reward you with loads of sprinkles!

And I have to say that I am enjoying this event. I know a lot of people are disappointed with this event but for me it has a nice balance… I have been able to get all all the prizes a couple of days ahead of schedule without having to kill myself to do it but even newer players seem to be able to make most of them. Also some returning items which are great for newish players as well as some new stuff which I love! Had to share the screenshot below because the Sunken Temple and the Impossible Tower really inspired me! And thanks to Amygo and the King of 3D, Tapebelt, whose design ideas I have ‘borrowed’ – imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!
And thanks to all my neighbours for The FT’s 👍👍👍

Was there a part of a previous Halloween decoration where the founder’s statue was tp’d? Reason I ask is bc my game was glitching and started turning the halloween shacks in to other objects – and one was a tp’d statue. Wasn’t sure if this was an Act 3 image or from a previous year. This is my first Halloween with TSTO.

I knew it was Fox, but haven’t been a brat in awhile. Also figured since you are Queen you can order your underlings to fix anything. My cable also went out twice, very frustrating trying to watch. Good grief now in 14th inning know if I fall asleep they will score right after. Getting a lot of tapping in while watching

Was parusing through older blogs on this site and happened upon noticing something. At what point did Wookie change his handle from WookieCorp to just Wookie? Also has me wondering, what happened to the business? I can just picture those board meetings with all the Wookies around the table. lol
Lol… not exactly sure when the switch happened (pretty early on though) but I decided I liked the current moniker better. As for Wookieecorp… it was a little joke of mine as in “this post brought to you by Wookieecorp… Ripping Arms Out of Sockets since 1977.” Problem with the board meetings is it’s just me running around. Still in business… just not advertising I suppose.
Hey everybody! Jason my game just did the same thing, thought I was loosing my mind or what’s left of it anyway. I looked around game have no explanation on why campfire upgraded other than ghosts? Maybe ghosts are upset that there aren’t any in our game.
