Conform-O-Meter Catch Up: Halloween of Horror and THOH Episode Tie-Ins & Gil’s Halloween Deal

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

With so many updates hitting us rapid fire the last couple of weeks, I haven’t had a chance to post the conform-o-meter impacts for each of these mini updates.  Which means it’s the perfect time for a Conform-O-Meter catch up post!

The Conform-O-Meter is an important part of Tapped-Out because it provides you with a bonus boost in your cash and  XP from everything you collect in the game.  When you achieve a 5-Star Town (it’s max rating) you will receive a 5% bonus on all money and XP collected in your town.  If you missed the previous Conform-O-Meter posts check here for the basics and here for how many points you’ll need to reach 5 stars.

As many of you know by now only Level Updates make changes to the Conform-O-Meter requirements, so with the two episode tie-ins and Gil deal (even THOH) no changes were made to the Conform-O-Meter.  However, several items were added that impact our meters.  So let’s take a look at them now…

Let’s start with the Halloween of Horrors Episode Tie-in, which hit our games on October 15th….

Item Cost Category Points
Offical Halloween HQ $13,500 Consumerism 20

And now the THOH Episode Tie-in, which hit our games on October 21st..

Item Cost Category Points
Ancient Ornamental Pond $2,500 Tree-Hugging 400
Bob’s Victorian House 100 Donuts Indolence 10

And finally the most recent one, Gil’s Halloween Deal, which hit our games on October 28th…

Item Cost Category Points
Sepulcher of Evil 225 Donuts Vanity 500

And there you have it my friends….the conform-o-meter stats for the last three mini updates to hit TSTO (all focused around Halloween).

How is your town doing?  Are you maxed out?  If not what area(s) currently needs a boost?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. Thanks for the info Addicts.

If you don’t mind, what is the Conformity for the Sunken Temple?

  2. Righteousness took a hit a week or so ago, leaving me with one star suddenly. Previously I had 5 stars there. It’s annoying when that happens!

  3. This is a good place to remind people about the xp and cash boost from wailing walls. It doesn’t say it on the halloween craftables so I figured only the one I already had gave the boost, but nope… really great deal as each one gives the 2.25%? boost.

    • Well…this post has nothing to do with THOH itself, that conform O meter post will come out as the event winds down. But we do have it mentioned (in bold) on the crafting for act 2 post

  4. Hi
Off the topic, but I was wondering how to get to Springfield Horror Pt 3. I forgot.

  5. Hello all!
First and foremost, I want to just say thank you Alissa, Bunny and Wookie for all the hard work you do around here! You definitely don’t hear it enough! Without you guys, game play would be nowhere near as fun as it is with you! You guys have the patience of saints, hearts of gold, and a lifetime of wonderful karma surrounding you all! I have no idea how you all find the time to do what you do, but I know I speak for a lot of people when I say you are ALL appreciated more than you know! (And Alissa’s little tapper has such a fantastic mommy to come home to very soon!)
That being said, this is a bit off topic, but I’ve been trying to figure it out myself with no luck… so I figured why not ask the addicts community! I know SOMEONE here is bound to know! Since I’ve started playing this game I’ve seen things that I’ve been envious of in neighbor’s towns! I figured they would unlock as I went up in level, but I am now level 58, and there are 2 things I still haven’t come across! I’m just wondering if anyone could let me know what these things are/where they come from! (I’m going to describe them, so please bear with me!)
The first one is a house… it’s on the smaller side, beige in color, has a stone chimney and some stone work on the side of the house, a lot of windows and a slanted roof that also has a window on it… there are also some plants right out front of the door. I know it’s kind of a vague description, but this is not one of the usual houses, it looks very different! In rereading my description, I realized that this sort of sounds like I’m describing (what I believe) is a little house where if you tap it fireworks come out the chimney, but that is not the house I’m wondering about!
The second thing is pretty easy to describe… it’s the red curly slide! The rest of my “playground equipment”unlocked, but this one never came along… thinking maybe it was a limited time item that came in during an event or something?
Anyway, those are the two things! If anyone recognizes my descriptions and could point me in the right direction, it would be very much appreciated! Many thanks in advance, and happy tapping!

    • Thank you for the kind words 🙂

      First one…is it this:

If so that’s Guiseppe’s Workshop. It’ll probably come back around the 4th of July.

The second is the slide from Stonecutters. Currently it’s not available it the game. Although I’m sure they’ll bring it back to tie in with an event at some point.

      • That is not the house…. that is the house I was talking about when I said just reread the description and was afraid it sounded to much like that one! The house I’m speaking of looks a little more modern….

        • This one?

          • That is actually it! I’m sorry my first post was obviously confusing I actually said that I realised the description I had given sounded very similar to the house with the fireworks coming out if the chimney, but that was not the one I was talking about lol

            • lol ok that’s the Cool Brown House. It came back once…I don’t know if it’ll make another comeback. It was originally part of the Day the Earth Stood Cool episode tie-in from 2013.

          • Ah ha…. Ok! Well good to know! So the 2 items I really want I’m just going to have to keep a look out for! That house looks so awesome! I’m so envious when I see it in a neighbor’s town! With all this content they are bringing back recently, I would say there is a pretty good chance one of them could make a comeback though! Alissa and Matt, thank you so much for all your help!

      • Alissa I’m wondering if Samm Jayyis talking about the Cool Brown House/aka The Architechure Brown House? I missed that one too and it’s one of the coolest house designs.. ?

        • That was my next guess. But the fireworks threw me off cause they come from guiseppe’s house

          • Yeah i’ve never seen fireworks with it but it’s one I really want so the description I knew off beat 😉 Good luck for your final days at work and Happy Halloween from lil NZ!

      • I actually just hunted it down and took a screenshot from a friend’s town…. how can I upload it here?

    • The slide was offered this year for in-game currency along with the Stonecutters’ Daycare Centre.
Would you be thinking of Cool Brown House that goes with the Cool Homer skin?

  6. Hello Fellow Tappers,
OT but hopefully this wonderful community can help me out. My Gen 1 16gb iPad is crashing every time I even try and start the game. Have reinstalled and that just made it worse. I’ve been thinking about getting an iPad with more storage (64gb). Would that solve this problem or is RAM the issue not storage? If so would I need to get a more current iPad (air, mini, 3rd gen.)? Any advice or knowledge would be grand! Thanks to all.

  7. I’m glad they started adding some more stuff to help with tree hugging although I had already bit the bullet and just kept buying a bunch of trees until I hit 5 stars. Now if they’d only fix the problem with the righteousness rating dropping for no reason or add more things that boost it aside from training walls.

    • regarding the righteousness drop, try storing & replacing your existing training walls before buying new ones. I got knocked down to 3 or 3.5 stars but just buy storing/replacing walls I got back up to 4.5 (then just bought a couple more to put me over the top)

  8. I maxed my Conform-O-Meter out quite some time ago… but I’ve noticed that every time a new level update pops out, my Tree-Hugging rating drops by half a star, and I have to buy more trees. Hopefully the Ornamental Pond helps stave that off for awhile.

  9. Hiya, I have two questions and didn’t really know where to put them so I chose the most recent post <3
First: will the brains, bunny ears etc remain through act 3 or do I need to build as much as I can now?
Second: I am a freemium player mostly… And I got the cauldron… In hope that maybe witch marge will be available later too… What do you think how likely will that happen?
    Thanks <3

  10. Hi 🙂 Thank you for the infos. I have a question: Is there a place where I can see what point ranking i currently have (in numbers)? I mean, I am maxed out – 5 Star town – but I would like to know, if I have any unnecessary stuff (due to the item limit arggh 🙂 ) in my town. Right now, I just put stuff (for examle the training walls) in my inventory to see if the star rating drops. It would be nice if there is an option where i can see for example: I have 200 Points Tree hugging… only 100 points needed for a five star rating…so i can savely remove x amount of trees.

Also, is there an option somewhere were I can see what exact % in income and XP I currently have?

Thank you for your feedback. Rock on.
    🙂

  11. Hi!

I’m having a huge problem with my xp and money bonus.
Yesterday, I had about 63% bonus and, when I built kiwk e marts, I got approximately 5200 xp with each building when finished.
So, I bought lots of walls from the THOH event and ended up with 103.9% bonus.
The thing is that now, when I build a kiwk e mart, I get barely 4000 xp.

It makes no sense in my mind, can you guys help me out, please? 😀
    Thanks!

    • Could be that the more kwik-e-marts you have the less they award. Check another building and see what you get…usually it’s 10% of the cost in XP.

      • I usually build 10 kiwk-e-marts, then sell all and rebuild then! Any thoughts?
I’ll try what you said, though!

        Thanks, Alissa 😀

        • My thought is you’re doing it wrong lol If you’re looking for XP get the Bloodmobiles or Rat Trap Trucks. The XP payout is MUCH higher…

          • I’ve read about that but, for me, I don’t think it’s worth it. I don’t want to “trade” money for donuts, I just want to give a little boost in my leveling up, that’s why I use the kwik-e-mart! I spent much less and get a lot of xp!

Alissa, thanks for your time and your help!
Keep up the good work with both blogs, I’m a huge fan! 😀

          • Did you state previously that the XP for these was 10% of the dollar amount? If it is not, do you know what it is so I can calculate how many trucks or mobiles I will need in the future to get ten million XP? Thanks

          • According to preliminary estimates then, I will get about 1778 donuts come next THOH (annual income) using the XP collider and the gains from the tennis courts and wailing walls. Still have to figure out the percentage of the gains from each. Looks like I won a nice little sinecure.

  12. More land, please!!!!!
