THOH Prize Guide: Act 2, Prize 5…Tenta-Corp HQ

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Well here we are, in most Tappers favorite time of the year in Springfield….Halloween!  The leaves on the tress have changed colors, the water is murky and there’s a darkness that falls over our TSTO screens.  All of these effects fit in perfectly with this year’s theme….Nightmares.

This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story.  To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act.  Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event.  For the second Act you’re tasked with collecting Gummies (ico_thoh2015_eldergodcandy_md) to unlock each prize!

The fifth, and final, Act 2 prize awarded at 9,282 ico_thoh2015_eldergodcandy_md (or +4,230ico_thoh2015_eldergodcandy_md from unlocking the Elder Blimp) is the Tenta Corp HQ, an event themed building for our Springfields.

So let’s take a closer look at this fifth prize and just what happens when you unlock it your Springfield…

Once you’ve collected 9,282 ico_thoh2015_eldergodcandy_md  (or 4,230 more ico_thoh2015_eldergodcandy_md from prize four) you’ll automatically be awarded Tenta Corp HQ and you’ll see this message popup:

Remember if you store it you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it..

So what does it do?  Does it just sit there and look pretty?

Basically…yes.  It’s essentially just another building for your Springfield.  It will earn cash and XP, but that’s about it.

Here are some quick facts about the Tenta Corp HQ:

  1. I just got it! About half a day spare… The last act, I had to spend some odd 10 donuts (with 20 minutes on the clock left) so very glad I’ve got it in time this time. It seems that even if I play quite a lot, it is still pretty hard getting the final prize each time. Here’s to hoping act 3 will be a bit easier 🙂

  2. Since placing this building I’ve noticed my campfire releases less night mares than before. I only had to task the kids twice to level it up and now it takes three times & visiting neighbors to level it. Anyone else noticing this issue?

  3. Sorry if this has been commented on: Do we need to keep upgrading the campfire? Is the only benefit gaining more hedges and shacks?

  4. I made a pretty awesome little 3d platform for the tentacorp building to sit on…. what do you guys think?

  5. So no extra doughnuts?

      • “D’oh” thanks and btw cool maze good luck on the Hawaiian one. And the 3D is really neat I’ve tried to even with the link to do that….. harder than it looks. But Happy Halloween and think next year or two it’s spider man’s or princesses.

    • I was kind of wondering about donuts myself. I mean donuts as in end of act bonus event where like say Tap Ball you tapped enough fans and got a chance to earn some donuts. Also, where is Bunny? I mean, what is she doing? I don’t follow what’s going on here much aside from getting a quick glance at the updates so I really don’t have much of an idea as to what’s going on in this community.

  6. I just got it last night. I wish they’d include a little story dialogue with the prizes.

  7. I have a question that I am sure has been answered.

After earning a campfire upgrade, does it need to be placed or may I store it and still have the benefits?

    Thank you!

  8. Sorry if this been already answered. So is they any point to having my adult characters continue to earn gummies after getting tentacorp? When the last act ended there were alot of smores that I made after earning all the prizes and they just went away.

  9. Hmm… That pumpkin looks interesting…

  10. For the moment it’s just shoved where it will fit. I’m hoping it will do something in Act 3, or else it’s going into storage.

  11. So happy I just got this yesterday! It doesn’t do much, but I can relax for the next few days now. I WAS kinda hoping there’d be at least one little quest or dialogue or something to go along with it since it was the last prize of the act.

I don’t really have it anywhere very pretty right now. Still working on getting some land so I can better arrange my Springfield. It’s kinda loosely near my Industrial/Corporation area right now.

By the way, does anybody know there’s only a finite amount of expansions available, with new ones added during each update? Or does the game just keep generating more land and increasing the price by so much whenever you buy more so that you can just keep infinitely expanding?

    • No, you’re limited to a 18×18 grid of plots, with 16×18 being normal land. Springfield Heights adds another 9×6 (or 7×6 minus ocean). They don’t release land with every update… but many hope for more soon. I have expanded fully to the East, and am half-way through the second-last row to the South. The last block costs 2.5 million!! It’s going to take me many weeks to finish them, and then I can finally start building some of the ‘aspirational’ buildings, as I don’t have any yet.

      • Awesome! That is scary, but good news. Right now I’m considering two possibilities.

        1) Just focusing on land and then continuing with all the quests once I have maximum room to play with.

        Or

        3) switching between expansions and buildings/characters by just going in order of what currently costs the least.

    • There’s definitely a finite limit. I haven’t reached it so I can’t tell you where it is, but I know once your prices to unlock land start getting over a million you’re getting close.

Totally forgot what I came here for
Blame Brooders for starting this pumpkin talk…..something on the flickr page for you Alissa

    🎃 🙂

    • lol did you make that for me?! 😉

      • No ….credit to anyone on the internet

Anyway……are we counting down the minutes ?

        🎃🎃🎃🎃 🙂

        • lol i’d like to be…but it ended up being an insane day. Customers keep sending in orders and I’m trying to get them into the system as well as do all the paperwork so my fill-in won’t get too overwhelmed. Not a bad problem to have lol

  13. Tenta-Corp was a bit of a disappointment. I’d hoped at least the tentacle braces would infurl or something. However, I LOVE the overall H.P Lovecraft theme this year. I can understand if someone wasn’t familiar with him, the prizes might seem random, but for those of us who have read him, SIMPSONS and C’THULU together? Wow!

  14. i was pleasantly surprised by this building, both in its size and how goes well with other buildings. not a fan of buildings that are too tall because they block out other stuff (like the level 5 sh buildings), and i was actually expecting it to be smaller than it is (kinda like the impossible tower). and with the blue/green/pink color scheme, i had to jack some of the rigellian shrubs from around my rigellian cabanas to go with it…. sure wish ea brought these back for crafting, but of course the two items i wanted to return most from last halloween (rigellian shrubs and teleporters) are absent from this year’s event.
