It’s Halloween in Springfield! And the adults of Springfield are showing Halloween isn’t just for kids! Now I know you may be trying to decide if the adult costumes are worth YOUR donuts, but don’t sweat it! We’re here to tell you what’s worth the donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Acorn Kirk to your Halloween party? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this nut to your Springfield!
Character/Skin: Acorn Kirk
Donut Price: 70 donuts
Pros:
-Comes with a quest line
-Premium skin for a freemium character, so it earns 50% more on all cash and xp than a freemium character.
-Has all outdoor tasks, and the Chase his Acorn task is hilarious
Cons:
-Will not help with the THOH Event
-Does not have a full set of tasks, just two tasks. (8hr and 24hr)
-Questline requires Luann to complete (not Squirrel Luann, but regular Luann)
Final Thought:
Premium or Freemium:
Honestly I don’t think this one is worth it. Sure his outdoor tasks (all 2 of them) are funny, but 70 donuts is an awful lot to spend on this costume. Especially if you don’t have Luann. While it’s nice for Kirk to get a couple of premium tasks…this one just isn’t worth it in my opinion.
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do…and I can tell you I’ll be passing on this one. However, this IS a limited-time item. So if you’re thinking about getting it make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games.

THOH 2016 info update: Arcon Kirk now has a full set of tasks. But to unlock all of then you need to complete his quest line, and it requires Luan.
So if you don’t have Luan (premium character) you can’t use all of his tasks.
So annoyed! Bought Kirks outfit, but don’t have Luann. So now I’ve just got Kirk walking around in his outfit doing nothing. They should tell you that it requires Luann! Not buying her now too!
Luann drops automatically at a certain level so hang fire and as soon as you’ve got her those tasks will be available. Not sure what level though.

I’m pretty sure she still costs 150/190 donuts. Not free. That would make Kirk’s skin cost over 200 donuts…
She drops at level Square root of minus 1, because actually she doesn’t, She’s premium dude. You have to buy her.
I brought him coz I loved the animation and skin, however at the sky high price of donuts for a skin I was really disappointed that he only has 2 permanent tasks – 8hr and 24hr one. Great animation but slack on the tasks given it was a premium skin buy at a very high price. I also brought Luann but instantly regretted it and the same, 2 tasks which don’t justify the price of the skin.
Well, I am usually pretty much of a cheapskate, but I got this one. Kirk’s normal jobs are just kind of sad. I want him to have something silly to do even if it is running away from squirrels! Have gotten a lot of free donuts lately so I’m considering that a discount on the quite outrageous price. I can’t justify getting Squirrel Luann too though.
Anyone out ther lose there donuts today? My hubby went on his game this morning and was collecting his weekly free donuts and when he looked at his donut count which should have been 166 it was 0 didn’t happen on mine but now kinda worried🤔🤓
Have him check his Donut Confirmation Screen to ensure he isnt accidentally spending them by mistake. Then reach out to EA.

Probably obvious to all you inteligent types but only occurred to me during this evening,
When you look on your neighbours screen,
check their candy-apples count…….if you find one with a zero ……means they haven’t started act three yet and they still have nightmares walking around (I just needed 3 zombies to level my campfire) so it was ideal,
I think I’ve got three neighbours like this, ….one of them I’m sure is hanging back on purpose from completing whichever quest it is that ends the campfire/s’mores task so she’s still able to spawn whichever nightmare she wants, I think that she’s experimenting as it’s someone with more than one town 🎃💀🐍🍭👻🏈🍩😀 🙂
I bought kirk and luann’s costumes too cool and can I ask wheather u guys have put writers building in SH or SF
I put the writer’s building in SH. Fits really good in front of a L curved monorail track. So little room up there that I might have to move it because it fits just as well elsewhere.

It’s odd how many skins lately have only had a couple of tasks. I wonder why they don’t just add indoor tasks to fill out the list. All they need to come up with is a task name…

I tend to be more on the ‘I have to have everything’ kind of player, but these 2 items are a total pass.
Pass. Why don’t these skins have full task lists? They also raised the price of Lisa’s skin from 60 to 75. I was going to buy it despite its shortcomings when it seemed like it would help with the event but I wasn’t enamored. When I saw the price went up I said forget it. While this event has been good, the items for purchase have been very disappointing. I realize that since I’ve played for years I have many items already, but I was really hoping for something better to be offered than has been.

The way these skins are described in the in-game store as “giving improved Halloween jobs” could be misleading to some players, and in legal terms, it’s false advertising.
Hope players don’t waste donuts thinking they’re buying an advantage in the event

Oh my, there reallt IS a donut inflation! I hope prices won’t be as high than in Family Guy TQFS though.
Just glad the skins have no time limit. If nothing else amazing pops up for purchase I might ponder one or two. Would rather have Witch Marge though. Still pretty happy with my Bad Dream House 👍🏼

It fixed the weird problem I was having with Clockwork Bart fighting M’nster, so it was useful for me LOL
If I had to buy His outfit or Her outfit, I was leaning toward His.
I’ve seen these Tasks in Neighbors towns and it is funny to see, but figure if everyone get’s this the joke will wear out and So I think I’ll leave this to the Premium players.
BUT I also want to mention something else, Kirk’s backside. I expected a Homer-esque Rump But instead it is a bit reminiscent of Hank Hill’s :p
When the time comes, when we have Snow covered ground in our game, I shudder to think of Kirk dressed like this holding onto his only (non-retracted) Nut.
Can you help me? M’nthster is dominating my campfire, so my kids can’t earn snake eggs (I want UBO). On top of that, the last two times I made snakes (before M’nthster), there we’re only a handful; they didn’t appear all over town, even though I had the same number of children working as before. Any advice? Thanks!

I was considering it, but only two premium tasks? And really only 1 additional if you consider he’s got a premium 8hr task working at the Cracker Factory (if you have Luann, which you need to complete this one).
Wow. Really overpriced for that “deal”. 🙁
Plus if you do have Luann, you’ve already got an 8 hour premium task.
Which is why I didn’t bother with either of them, have both, and the 8 hour task makes Kirk premium anyway.
