Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Well here we are, in most Tappers favorite time of the year in Springfield….Halloween! The leaves on the tress have changed colors, the water is murky and there’s a darkness that falls over our TSTO screens. All of these effects fit in perfectly with this year’s theme….Nightmares.
This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the Third, and final, Act you’re tasked with collecting Candy Apples (
) (yes I know they look like Caramel Apples, but the game is calling them Candy Apples) to unlock each prize!
The first Act 3 prize awarded at 180 is a supply of Crafting Resources to help you craft fun prizes during the event!
And the second Act 3 prize awarded at 540 (or +360, from Prize 1) is Apu’s Apocalypse Jeep…a new “vehicle” for your Springfield…
So let’s take a closer look at these first two prizes and just what happens when you unlock them in your Springfield…
Let’s start with Prize 1….
Once you’ve collected 180 you’ll automatically be awarded the crafting resources and you’ll see this message popup:
There won’t be anything to place in your Springfield and you won’t have to do anything additional to get these resources. Simply earn 180 and they’ll automatically go into your resource counter.
So how many of each resource do you get for this first prize? It’s broken out like this:

Now let’s move onto Prize #2…
Once you’ve collected 540 (or 360 more from prize one) you’ll automatically be awarded Apu’s Jeep and you’ll see this message popup:
You’ll have the ability to place the Jeep in your Springfield immediately or place it in inventory for later (store). If you store it, remember you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve it..
If you decide to place it’s a decoration, so there is no build time.
And that’s really it to the second prize. There’s no questline, no dialogue, nothing telling you to place it in your Springfield to earn more . Just win the prize and that’s it.

Conform-O-Meter Impact: Right +5
Where Can I Place It?: Grass/Pavement/Boardwalk/Beach
What Does it Do?: It’s an animated when tapped decoration. It’ll sit in your Springfield like every other vehicle. When tapped it’s engine will rev and it will move a bit. (stationary movement)
What’s Next?
Holiday Homer the third prize, which will be awarded at 2,160 (or +1,620 from Apu’s Keep). This will be the next prize we cover in a prize rundown post.

So what can you spend all the bones,ears,eggs etc on now act 3 is underway? Will there be more prizes to craft at the end of the event or will it be a case of crafting dozens more of whats already available? Already crafted everything available ha!
Sooo, Holiday Homer was supposed to get “Improved Halloween jobs”, but I haven’t seen any new or improved jobs for the kids, and Homer himself only has two non-event related jobs.
Yes, I have searched the site for any mention of this.
He doesn’t have them. It’s not proper wording…it’s premium payout at his adult tasks at the halloween buildings, but the payout isn’t halloween currency, just cash.
Is there anyone else out there who didn’t receive Apu’s jeep? I already have holiday Homer and just now realised that the jeep was never awarded.
Check your inventory. If you don’t see it there contact EA they’ll replace it for you
Did you go through your *entire* inventory?
how can I get candy apples faster?? I feel like I wont be able to get the final prize at this current rate of progress :/

Is anyone else having an issue with the brown house not rewarding you all your nightmares?
When the kids “hunt nightmares” jobs finish and I click the thumbs ups, I don’t receive all the nightmares that should have been spawned. I have suspected this for a few days, but since today’s Shopkeeper Challenge is to squish skeletons, I have definitive proof.
I sent some my kids to Hunt Nightmares (making sure to send all the ones that will reward me with skeletons to squish), and no skeletons spawned when they finished. I squished all the nightmares. No skeletons. When I go to the shopkeeper challenge screen and click “do it,” it just brings me to the brown house.
Very frustrating.
