Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
So I’m sure some of you have been wondering just where I’ve been…or just how long Bunny’s put me on on bed rest for. Well..there’s been a good reason for my absence. The Tiny Addict has arrived!
Riley Margaret arrived on Thursday November 12th at 6:02pm! Weighing in at 8lbs 2oz and 20″ long. She’s for sure a keeper and we’re over the moon excited about her!
My apologies for not telling you guys sooner, or not having Bunny or Wookiee tell y’all. It’s been a whirlwind of a few days, including how she came into the world. Riley’s currently in the NICU being treated for some breathing issues and a couple of other labor related complications. The good news is she’s doing really, really well. The bad news is she still can’t quite come home. (hopefully this week)
So I’ll still be away for a few more days, while we spend the time visiting Riley at the hospital. But remember…I’m always watching 😉

I’m so out of the loop. Our little girl was born on the 9th so we’ve been busy with her and our almost 4 year old. O_o
Yay for Fall babies!
She was 20″ long too! Only 6lbs even though.
Aww congratulations! The 9th was Riley’s due date..she just decided to make her entrance a little more dramatic coupled with being fashionably late! I can only imagine how crazy your house must be right now!
Alissa, congrats to you and your husband! She is absolutely gorgeous! We just had our first grandchild a few months ago…the first girl in forever. I get the great joy of watching her every day and as you know there is no better feeling than looking, holding and just enjoying your little bundle. Babies are such a joy and a blessing and I know that you will enjoy every moment with her. And there is no such thing as too many pictures!!!! 😉
Congrats !!!!! On your newest addition to the family. Enjoy all the time you can with her, they grow up way too fast.

My very first comment ever and I’m thrilled to have it on such a happy occasion! Congratulations Alissa! Happy Baby! Happy Birthday Riley! I have a 5yr-old & soon-to-be 3yr-old, and I wanted to pass along three tidbits – treasure every single moment with Riley while she’s super-wee-small, take a zillion pictures, and while you’re learning with Riley – trust your gut (if you’re unsure if something isn’t right). Nothing replaces parental instincts. I am so thrilled for you – oh happy, happy day!

Congrats!! She is absolutely precious! My boys were early as most twins are so they had to stay longer than normal as well. I understand how hard it would be to have to leave but luckily they managed to keep me admitted until they were released! She will be home soon!!

Lucky for you! With insurance regulations these days it’s 2 days and that’s it. Hardest thing in the world leaving without her.
Congratulations! She’s a good size, so that’s on her side. Get some rest, cuz you sure won’t get much after she finally comes home!

Congratulations. My daughter was premature and spent 3 weeks in an incubator, try not to burn yourself out by being at the hospital 24/7 if you can, she is in good hands. Lots of love to all three of you.

We’ve been going in 3hr-4hr “shifts”. We go and see her day nurse and the dr and then back again at night to see the night nurse and put her to bed. I think if my husband wasn’t home I would end up spending all day there…thankfully he’s home.
