Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
So this is one of those times when I said…bare with me if a post takes a little bit to get up when an update hits. So, my apologies this is a little late getting up….but the Thanksgiving update has arrived!
A mini update that’s an automatic download…so nothing to download from the App Store. Just start up TSTO and it’ll hit your game.
The update will autostart with some dialogue from Homer…where you’ll have to Tap a Turkey.
I’ll be back with more info in a bit…just as soon as I have a chance to go through it…more info below the fold 🙂
As mentioned above Homer gets things started via Autostart, telling you to tap a turkey. You’ll then be tasked with Homer having to deep fry a turkey, which will take 6s. You will then launch the Thanksgiving items in the store…
Here’s a look at what’s in the store…
New Stuff:
Bart Balloon- 40 Donuts. Adds 2% bonus on all cash and XP
Work from Home Station- 60 Donuts.
Returning Stuff:
Caesar’s Pow-Wow Casino- 150 Donuts, Comes with the Tribal Chief Should I Buy
Pow-Wow Casino Sign- 40 Donuts. Should I Buy
Piggly’s Super Smorg- 140 Donuts, Comes with Marge’s Mom. Should I Buy
Heimlich Machine- 60 Donuts. Should I Buy
Caged Tom Turkey- 100 Dounts. Should I Buy
Puritan Flanders and Sacagawea Lisa- Combo 80 Donuts. These were previously free, so there is no SIB. My best advice is if you like them get them. It’s 2 costumes for 80 donuts, so 40 donuts each. Not a bad buy…but honestly I never use either of these costumes.
After that you’ll be tasked with two more 6s tasks…and that will in turn launch the actual Thanksgiving Event itself….
Event Ends December 1st
So similar to Money Mountain and a couple other events…you’ll have to complete various tasks to unlock prizes and ultimately the King Sized Homer Outfit!
Here’s a look at the tasks/prizes…
Part 1– Unlocks an Animation for Homer…
Make Homer Go on a Vision Quest- 1hr, Earns $70, 17xp
Gather Drumsticks x20- Tap Turkeys to get Drumsticks. You can also earn them by sending various characters on tasks. Ned, Marge, Apu, Quimby & the Tribal Chief can earn them. (Freemium earn 3 legs/3hrs, Premium 6 legs/3hrs) Tap Do It to see the task list.
Part 2- Unlocks The Vast Waistband Building…
Make Ghost Homer Give Real Homer a Heimlich- 3hrs, Earns $135, 35xp
Gather Drumsticks x80- Tap Turkeys. You’ll also unlock new characters that can earn them, the ones from part 1 will no longer be able to earn Drumsticks. Tap Do It to see the list (can send Tribal Chief, Dr. H, Wiggum, Krusty & Cletus)
Part 3- Unlocks 360 Degree Buffet Table
Make Homer Visit the Vast Waistband- 7hrs, Earns $250, 60xp
Gather Drumsticks x70- Tap Turkeys. You’ll also unlock new characters that can earn them, the ones from Part 2 won’t apply to this part. Tap Do It to see the List (Can send Ned, Cletus, Comic Book Guy, Grampa and Tribal Chief)
Part 4- Unlocks the Turkey Stuffer
Make Homer Enjoy a 360 Degree Buffet Meal- 4hrs, Earns $175, 45xp
Gather Drumsticks x100- Tap Turkeys. You’ll also unlock new characters that can earn them, the ones from Part 3 won’t apply to this part. Tap Do It to see the List (Can send Skinner, Willie, Moe, Apu & Tribal Chief)
Part 5- Unlocks King-sized Homer
Make Homer Eat Turkey at Maximum Efficiency- (uses the Turkey Stuffer) 16hrs, Earns $500, 125xp

Well, there’s been one every year, so I would be shocked if there wasn’t one this year. I’d say it’s almost definite.
I am getting 5 turkeys all day! I was away from 10 am until 9:30 pm. When I logged in, I had 5 turkeys. And I have the casino. Instead of 1 every 20 min, I seem to be getting 1 every two hours! I’ll never get huge Homer.
A few characters getting 3 at a time won’t add up much unless I can log in every three hours. What’s an addict to do?
Short & Easy Thanksgiving Quest
Easier then last year (when Tappers needed Ned Flanders & Lisa Simpson to be free)
Just keep Homer Simpson free (Tappers will easily complete the whole Quest in under a week)
EA better not mess up Christmas Quest this year (this Tapper wants more New Stuff for Krustyland) 😉
I think we need to have a space expansion. What do you think. Also Maggie with a Mr B task. Shoot Mr burns
Why is there an asterix next to the turkey stuffing machine?
On a topic other than the thanksgiving quest…..which may have been suggested before….. It would be cool if we could “exchange” or “gift” items to neighbors. I have 60 rail tracks in storage, in addition to a fairly well developed monorail throughout my town. I’d love to share or trade!

Anyone remember the mutants you got to send to other towns in the terwilligers event? Well near then end of it, I bought the mutant. (It is the lime green one) With the latest update, I can’t find my little mutant anywhere… ;( Can anyone help me? On the other hand, another angry me is ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS that booberella wasn’t available for purchase this year :/

I believe so
the turkey spawns are so slow..ugh, albeit fun to tap on. so, correct me if i’m wrong, but Springfield appears to be maxed out with turkeys when you hit 7~8 in town (not 40 like the nightmares). is this right? or am i missing something to help spawn them faster or at least hold more spawns before being over run. can anything else be done other than the “character” tasks for each act?
The “turkey capacity” is 20. There is ony one act in the event, if you even want to call it that. There is no way to speed up the spawns of the turkeys, and by the way, 1 turkey spawns every 20 minutes.
I only get 5-7 turkeys every time I get the message about my town being overran.

Whew! Ok NM. As soon as Homer was freed up, the quest line contd. Crisis averted 😅
Just unlocked 360 deg buffet table then placed it. Went to check who the next group of turkey leg gatherers are and the dang thang reset the counter but didn’t move on to the next prize. Super bummed on losing 70 legs. Hope I can still get the final prize….was debating on whether to get the casino or Ms Bouvier….looks like this glitch may have made up my mind for me. Anyone else have this problem and/or remedy? Tried hard close and store/place already.
Oh no. Such much to tap, and it’s absolutely confusing. There is no way I will ever be able to do all the tapping in time. I desperately need an event calendar. At least with three digit precision. Please help me, I’m close to panic.
An event calendar for what?! Just do the tasks..there’s nothing to really collect. Just follow what it says, you have 10 more days…
love love love the update. I like that it’s short and fairly easy to complete before the 1st. Can’t wait for king size homer!!
Is anyone else having issues with the game getting stuck at the Vast Waistband? I placed the building but the event won’t progress to part 3… Tapping turkeys earns me just xp no drumsticks! This sucks :/
I deleted the app and redownloaded it but it didn’t fix anything.
You have to have homer free to kick off the next part. Same thing happened to me between part 1 &2, but when Homer finished his task it kicked off the next part.
You need Homer free to trigger each part of the questline…
Same thing happened to me. Homer needs to be free to continue with the event. Any turkeys collected before you tap Homer’s dialogue won’t count toward the next prize.
