Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Level 58 has arrived a short while ago and with it the Springfield Mob got a little bit stronger (and a little bit richer)…as Johnny Tightlips makes his way into town.
While we’ve had the Turbo Tappin’ walkthrough up since Level 58 hit, we thought now would be a fun time to take a look back at all of the fun dialogue you might have missed while tappin’…or just to relive all the fun again!
As we mentioned in the Level 58 rundown post Johnny and Plato’s Casino can be yours for the premium price of 175 donuts. Like all premiums it’s an instant build, and Johnny’s questline will start right up for you once placed in Springfield.

Johnny Tightlips: Wow, this is every mafia guy’s dream! Thanks Boss! I’ll start by doing a check on the slot machines.

Johnny Tightlips: You seem to have won an awful lot playing online poker at our casino lately, Mr. Syzlak.
Moe: I’m good at counting cards. And there’s no rule against counting cards in online poker!
Johnny Tightlips: Last time I was at your bar you gave me $7.67 change on a five. We traced your IP address and found out it originated at Springfield Elementary. You wouldn’t be paying someone under 18 to illegally gamble for you, would you?
Moe: Of course not! I’m back in school to complete my degree!
Johnny Tightlips: I see. Then allow me to “teach you a lesson.”

Wiggum: This is just the sort of doomed-to-fail, fake investigation of the mafia we’ve been looking for!
Moe: He also vandalized half my bar! Check out these photos.
Wiggum: Whoa, that looks pretty bad. That half of the bar is completely unusable!
Moe: You’re pointing at the undamaged half.

Wiggum: Well, the investigation turned up nothing. The online casino, like the unlicensed casino it’s housed in, is completely clean.
Moe: But you were only there for five minutes.
Wiggum: Dangit! I was trying to beat my record of four minutes and thirty-eight seconds.
Lou: Chief, looks like the investigation might need to be reopened. An inside informant just called and reported a multi-million dollar tax evasion scheme.
Wiggum: You know what we really need to investigate? Who violated my rule of never picking up the phone.

Wiggum: Johnny, you and all the casino staff are under arrest. Sorry ‘bout that, but the government needs those tax revenues to buy $300 body cameras that are identical to $6.99 webcams. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you wanna say?
Johnny Tightlips: Just that a list of witnesses who are going to testify against me would be quite useful.
Wiggum: It hurts me that you thought you even had to ask.

Fat Tony: Because it makes it easy to figure out who’s squealing!

Fat Tony: The cops are shutting down our online casino. Johnny, I’m afraid I have to move you over to the regular casino.
Johnny Tightlips: Thank goodness! I’ve been dyin’ here. I wanna interact with people. Or at least have my fist interact with them.
Fat Tony: Oh you’ll be interacting with people alright… as the moderator of the regular casino’s new Springface page! And if I don’t see 100 “Likes” by tomorrow, you’ll be taking a trip down to the wood shop for a business meeting with my vise!

If you run the questline from start to finish, without using donuts, it will take you 3 days and 12hrs to complete.

Addicts, I’m having an issue with Mr. Burns. Since I’m literally tapped out and have no more quests. I receive the auto generated tasks. This morning I received the 4 hour task of read from the Necronomicon. Since I bought that insanely expensive, useless decoration that Mr. Burns now reads from. I had to pull it out of storage to complete the task (with it in storage the task is grayed out and is no longer accomplished at the plant). The issue was 4 hours later it didn’t register that he completed the task. So I thought silly glitch and paid the dounut’s to try again. Still not registering. I’ve done all the other tricks, KrustyLand, close out of the app, reinstalled. Nothing.
Any suggestions? I’m worried that with the new item he can read from the programmers skipped a critical step in allowing it to register.
Hmm…did you try storing the cooling towers?
Definitely was a great idea and thought it would work but no luck. Looks like I’m stuck with Burns’ uncompleted task until EA realizes it’s an issue.
The same thing happened to me with Lenny and Carl’s tasks for “A Woman’s Work Part 7”. I’ve tried a couple times but it just won’t clear. I did all the usual quick fixes, but none of those worked so I did a chat with EA. Now I’m waiting on an e-mail b/c they couldn’t find an easy fix. At least it’s more of an annoying glitch, as opposed to one that affects gameplay.
I’m sorry that’s happening to you. Yours is affecting game play, mine is just the nonsense afterwards.
