Oh I’m so bummed I missed the freebie donuts on Thursday. It just slipped my mind since I was busy with family. And I had got my mystery box day 5 prize on Wednesday. I thought I deserved a day off. I picked the wrong day!
Anyway I had enough saved for at least one black Friday deal, so I got Luann Van Houton and the Cracker Factory.
As for black Friday, there really aren’t the crowds you would think because a few retailers destroyed the concept by starting their sales on Thanksgiving day. I refuse to go on Thursday. But I did hit one shoe store Friday and got a bonus 30% off my purchase and a free wrap. Didn’t get there for 1 -1/2 hr after the store opened and still got the deal. All my other shopping I’m doing online this year.
Ohh there’s been an update! Homer almost blowing the town up again! 🙂 I’m off to bed now knowing that you’ll probably already have covered this storyline by the time I wake up :’) you guys are amazing and I check this page multiple times a day in case I miss things, thank you so much for the help 🙂

I’m thankful for the Addicts that run this page and my awesome neighboreenos! I’m off to pick up the cash balloons. I want the Snowball II balloon but will wait until tomorrow. I got a second Lard Lad in the mystery box after redoing my Springfield so I have to do some thinking on placement of that and the new balloons.
Had great luck with donuts lately.
Two days ago I won 5 poppin’ balloons in Krustyland.
Yesterday I got 5 bonuts visiting neighbours (a record! once I got 4, but never more than that).
Yesterday I also decided to buy a $50 iTunes card to buy 300 donuts for Black Friday (AUD$30.99), and with the leftovers decided to buy a scratch-r. BOOM! Instant jackpot – 100 donuts!
And to cap it all off, 15 free thanksgiving donuts on the way home from work!
I ended up getting Mrs. Bouvier in all the excitement (125 “almost” free donuts!)
Congrats – that was quite a haul!

Being in the UK I don’t really get the whole Black Friday thing … I just remember last year people actually fighting over things in the supermarket! Weird! I plan to avoid any shopping centre like the plague!
Black Friday comes from the “theory” that:
From this point forward, the stores are “in the black” – making profit. At an 8% profit margin, 1/12 of a sale is profit. There is 1/12 of the year left, so ….. every sale prior is covering cost and overhead while everything forward is pure profit.
I see nothing to entice me to fight crowds, which for me is unhealthy/ unsafe anyway, to save money on a deep discount.
I avoid realspace stores on Black Friday here in the USA…. But the retailers really depend on it, the sales for the day after Thanksgiving (when people are trying to get Christmas presents that they can afford, looking for bargains) shift them from “in the red” (loss) to “in the black” (profit), hence the name. So when people don’t buy as much as expected that day, bad news for retailers and people whose jobs are at risk. But some shoppers get really wild in pursuit of bargains (thinking that shopping is a blood sport) and folks have been killed or maimed in the rush. Some retailers are trying to spread out the whole thing more to avoid another trampling incident as they open their doors. I’ll stick to safer online shopping.

I only have the king homer skin left to unlock,but in the task bar says already completed,even though I just today unlocked the turkey stuffer.Also,now when I tap turkeys I only receive xp.The event says I have until Dec 1st.Anyone else having this problem?
The Stuffer is the end of the ‘Farming’ phase; once you have it, Turkeys are XP only. Once Homer finishes his 16 hour job using the stuffer, you’ll get the muumuu.
I get it with other things. Try a hard close and relaunch if going to Krustyland and back does not fix it.
You need to send Home on the turkey stuffer task

To an extent, the threat level has gone down to 3 (fom 4) but there is still unrest and raids as well. Military and police are still present but the underground is back open as are schools. I hope nothing happens…
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone (yes, even those of you who don’t celebrate it or celebrate it at another time….never a wrong time to have a day of thanksgiving)!
And thank you, Homer, for negotiating a raise in our donuts… I’ll have to bring you into the office to have a chat with the big brass there! I have 380 donuts waiting for tomorrow, and I’m still hoping that maybe Amazon will do another great coins deal so I can get some more, if necessary. But, if Him didn’t tempt me with something better, I’ll probably be getting Mrs. Bouvier and her restaurant.
My husband tortured me yesterday by rotating some turkey wings and using them to make stock for gravy and baking the pumpkin pie…the house smelled so tasty and I couldn’t eat any of it! But today’s the day…our menu includes Turkey, giblet gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, turnips, stuffing (well, technically, dressing) with mushrooms and celery, pumpkin pie, and vanilla ice cream. *glahhhgrggg* (that was an attempt at a Homer drool)
But, first, I have to go into the office and get something I need there, then come back and get some more work done. I’ve been being tortured the past three days (yes, *three* full days) working on my year-and self assessment….sheer agony. Does anyone else find it as painful to do that as I do?
Okay…time for a late breakfast and a shower and then to really get my day going…hope y’all have a great one!

I get roast potatoes fairly often, so the mashed potatoes are much more exciting, but Yorkshire pudding sounds really good (that’s like a popover, right?).
I’m just massively thankful that my husband made ALL of our tasty dinner, without me having to do anything! 🙂

Popover? ……..that’s what you do when visiting your friend across the street ….you pop over for tea ☕ ……..Yorkshire pudding is batter cooked in a very hot oven with a splash of hot oil in the bottom of the baking tin, I’m sure you’re right but I never heard of popover before 🍗

When I was a kid, we used to go to a restaurant called Patricia Murphy’s, where they had women who walked around with baskets full of them and you could wave a woman over and take one as many times as you wanted. I used to eat tons of them….so good!! (Of course, that was back in the day when I could eat anything and never gain an ounce.)
My mother served mashed potatoes, mashed turnips, and sweet potatoes. For reasons known only to herself, she bought turnips and sweet potatoes only for Thanksgiving and Christmas. (I love both foods, don’t know why we were denied.) Now I like to cut up the peeled turnip and bake with oil and sesame seeds. I’m going to try baking it with just tahini one of these days. I’ll bake several sweet potatoes at a time for myself and scoop out the innards into small Pyrex bowls and freeze – then I can microwave them anytime and add a little butter or coconut oil. Nice for breakfast.
We had fried turkey, roast pork, vegetarian stuffing(made for me), stuffing with meat, candied yams and pears, baked mac n cheese and green beans. 😀 i gad everything except the meat. 😁
PS its been one year since ive started playing TSTO! My one year anniversaire! woot woot!!
