Cons:
-No questline associated with it (there is some dialogue, but no questline)
-No character tasks there
-No bonus % or income earned from it

Final Thought:
Premium/Freemium:
This is one of those if you like it get it items, you’re basically just buying it for the Real Estate points (which are nice) at that point.  But if you’ve maxed out (1 billion) there’s really no benefit to them.  So like all decorations…if you like it grab it.  If not pass on it.

Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do…and I can tell you I’ll probably pass on this one.  I have so many boats in Springfield…not sure if I need another.  However, take your time with your thought process, there’s no rush to get it.  I’d honestly hold off and see what the next event holds before spending the donuts on this one…

Here’s a look at the little dialogue that pops up when you purchase….

Mr. Burns: Oh, my boat is back!  It’s been so hard threatening people to walk the plank without one.
Sea Captain: Y’arrr.  We sea folk are trying to improve our image.  Focus testing told us that walking the plank was limiting y’arr marketing potential.  If you don’t mind using y’arr boat for good instead of evil, we would appreciate it.
Mr. Burns: Hogwash!  I’ll use my boat however I see fit.
Sea Captain: Do as I say or else we’ll make you walk the…hallway down to the Yacht Club complaint office.
Mr. Burns: Next you’ll tell me that I can’t dump nuclear waste into the ocean.
Sea Captain: That one’s still allowed.  But no chum dumping!

  1. Seeing how it’s been four days since the tailgate update, given that it now gives 3.5 million instead of 35 million, it’s not worth the benefit of dounts anymore, no matter how much real estate you have.

  2. “The snowy season is almost here! Why not celebrate by building an army of snow people to do your evil bidding… or put up lights or something”

  3. I got it. I really like the audio and how it looks. blingwads.

  4. Not getting this. Have enough boat options as it is. Although the REV boost is tempting. I’ve just resigned myself to a long, long wait to get to 1bil.
Where is Christmas!! Geez EA you’re really takin your time with this one. I got 30 donuts in my mystery box this morning (woohoo!) though so I’m prepared to splash out on premium Christmas items and spend most of my cache 🙂

  5. If I get it, it will be mainly for the SH bonus it gives: that is a pretty big boost after all. I like how it looks (not smitten with it tho), but no bonus percentage is a bit dissapointing and there’s another 85 donuts buy that I’ve got my eye on too, namely the Texan.

So it’s a bit of a toss up: If I get the boat to get the 1B faster to unlock Paris Texan, it might take me longer to get her father into the game, but the opposite is true as well 🙂

  6. I got it, but I can’t seem to get enough boats for my pier. Love boats, and the ocean. Pity it’s so far away from me. Also, I made a push for the Billionaires Haven and Paris Texan this last week, and it helped a lot. 200 Million was ok, with the quests running alongside to push it, 500 was already tedious, and after that I just stopped. With the second part released, it gave me another push to try and finish it before Christmas. And I did! Congratulations to me 😉

  7. I’m really not into SH, I haven’t yet unlocked all the regular land available, or bought any of those non premium but high ticket aspirational, so I’m focused on those.

I do hope they launch Christmas soon. I check several times a day in the app store & many other games have already turned festive.

Also, I’ve had a glitch for ages which has caused me to pretty much stop trying to visit neighbours cos the game crashes on almost every visit. I’ve tried the usual fixes so I’m hoping the next update will kick out my gremlins.

  8. Hello,
Yesterday I noticed that my toy workshop that was in my inventory was gone … it is neither in my town or in any category of the inventory … What to do ?
Grieve for my English level I’m French

    • Salut Lyra. Intéressant! Moi aussi. Je vien de cherche, et c’est pas la.

Is it just us two, or are others missing it too?

      • Check the entire inventory without going into any menu, it is not categorized and not listed as a building.

Votre anglais est correcte. Excuse ma francais! Je peux comprendre mais pas ecris tres bien.

      • Several buildings don’t show up in the building category. You have to look through your main inventory; the stuff that shows up as soon as you tap the little cardboard box. This is true for the toy workshop, IRS building, and Uriah’s Heap recycling center, off the top of my head. It’s frustrating and I hope it gets fixed soon, as I end up scrolling past a lot of junk just to get certain things.

      • I went to check but it is still there in my storage.

  9. I bought it as was still at 450,000,000 so was a great help to get to the 500 mark. I go through spurts of the grinding then get bored a give it a rest; roll on christmas as can use a break! This is definitely great buy for the real estate boost, as one of the cheaper items but a load of real estate value ( instead of the usual 1-2 million which really doesn’t save a lot of effort) but after that it adds nothing of interest to the town.

  10. Keep one eye on your playstore 👀 🎄 🙂

  11. It would only be worth it if it had a task for the simple joys of a monkey knife fight at sea….

why are buildings so big in sh ? They are so disproportionate compared with everything else its a shame. I myself don’t like sh but its part of the game been playing 2 years and sh brought the game to a low. Hopefully Christmas that’s right CHRISTMAS not holiday will be better

    • I don’t see why you need to emphasise that. They always call it Christmas. They also mock it to shreds most of the time.

      • For years Christmas was just that, Christmas, yes, other holidays existed, but it was jus that, Christmas, Hannukah and others. Some people/religions or whatnot got offended by the term always being used as Christmas, and none of the others being mentioned or recognized globally, be it televised or commercialized or whatnot. So the “politically correct” thing to say for the past 5-10 years or so, is the Holiday Season, not the Christmas Season. Its like the word Christmas is just as bad as another four letter word…give it time and when the word is said on television it’ll get bleeped lol.

P.S. I hope I mentioned all of that correctly, I myself do not want to offend anyone, just trying to explain the situation as TwinSisterWendy was inquiring why CHRISTMAS was emphasized by Rick.

        • Noticed a typo after sending lol should be just not jus….

        • Just say whatever. I use happy holidays because I’m a waiter in NYC. I said merry Christmas to a Jewish table once and they weren’t offended but looked at me like I was crazy. They’ve been regulars and are now friends of mine but really they are really Jewish, like an episode of The Nanny. And I just didn’t think. It’s just easier to say happy holidays, the words mean nothing really it’s the sentiment. Besides how could I know someone’s religion by looking at them? Any way about it spread the love

          • Oh I agree, I have no issues saying MC, and not just because I celebate it myself lol. Just know the past decade or so its become a bigger deal globally, so avoiding conflict I usually try the “happy holidays” approach

  13. Maybe if it came with Furious George…

  14. I’m passin on it. Only because I simply need to but more water. I would like it if maybe there was a bit more water. It looks tacky with too much stuff on the water.

    • Same reason I’m passing on it, just like the pier for heights, there’s not enough water to make it believeable. For the rich area you think they’d have more oceanfront property lol.

  15. I had to get this to help unlock Paris Texan. SH is so annoying and such a big gap in prizes in the Red Blazer Real Estate Office between the flying car and Springfield Lake. Just wish there was an easier way to unlock Paris Texan then the monotony of SH. Clearly SH is meant for either the cheaters or the people that spend tons of money on this game to bypass the monotonous grind of SH.

  16. Literally. The WORST part of the Tapped out game. Its tedious. Offers no cash. Currency makes no sense.. Why can I max out my Chairs and Coffees within an hour but I could get my awards only 3 times. If I have enough currency to pay for other currency..

No.. No.. Nonononono! And.. No. Only way this thing makes sense is if you could quickly convert currency to others. Match all times with other tasks allowing bigger pay outs. Or reduce the time it takes to make the complex items..

  17. About those real estate points… Should I care about them? I was wondering if I should continue upgrading the mansions etc: I’ve already unlocked all of the SH prizes are these points going to waste? Should I wait for EA to offer new things- then lvl up those buildings?

    • Once you reach 1billion there’s no point to them.

    • Only reason I can see, once you’ve unlocked the final prize, is so that you’ll be that much farther ahead in the Real Estate points when/if they expand on the next round of prizes. But on the other side of the coin, EA could at that point change the Real Estate total to something else entirely, like they do with events. This week you may need radishes, but next week you’ll need carrots. So could be a waste of time entirely, but only ones that know are EA, and they aren’t talkin’.

  18. Outragous price for something that basically just sits there and does nothing. I hate fireworks so even that is useless, I don’t see anything special about it at all. It’s a waste of space. And it’s ugly on top of that. I’d never get it.

  19. Waste of sprinkles 😖 Come on Christmas event lol.

  20. Probably would’ve bought already if it wasn’t so close to the Christmas event, and I’m saving up my donuts. If I still have enough I’ll likely get it after the event

  21. Meh, I placed it on the outskirts of my water. I really wish I could nuke just on that side of the beach. So for now have already forgotten about it. Now I just want my opera house. Fell asleep this afternoon and I only call EA during business hours so I don’t get some outsourced agent so has never heard of the game.
