Where Did THAT Come From – Gone Fission

In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where Did THAT Come From?

Woo hoo! New stuff for Springfield Heights and a bunch of it goes in the water! About time EA paid some love to the forgotten waters of TSTO. Now if I could only convince them to tinker with Krustyland while not lamenting the missed Halloween opportunity with some Horror Night stuff and all would be well in Wookiee world. Anywho… I’m straying from the point. This post I will be going over one of the new premium items (85 donuts) that became available with Springfield Heights Part Deux Update… Gone Fission. Besides being a clever name that should make you think of a certain Nuclear Plant and uber rich owner, what does this boat have to do with the Best. Show. Ever.? I mean, it’s not as fancy as the Ultra Luxury Yacht.  It’s not even as big or rich-looking as the Luxury Yacht from the original release of Springfield Heights. WHat’s the deal?  Well.. let’s take a look at the TV Series to find out.

“The Mansion Family” (S11:E12)

Imagine that.  An episode about our favorite family living in a mansion having something to do with the new premium boat.  I’m sure you’ve deduced by now (or way before I wrote this) who owns said yacht.  In this episode, Burns realizes he’s the oldest man in Springfield (over 100) and decides to be evaluated by the Mayo clinic.  He decides to have Homer watch his mansion since he’s “always screws up and creates havoc.”  Burns figures “he’s due for a good performance.”

So the Simpsons live like billionaires. Beds that are burnt and replaced, weird artwork of Burns, an auto dresser, skateboarding in the hallways, a pony for Lisa and lawnmower for Homer (to also ride in the hallways).  Giant tables, stains after jimmying the liquor cabinet and swirling a drink… a sauna… calling Thailand, the New York Yankees and the Queen of England… life is good for them.  The only thing left to do before Burns comes home is to have a party aka par-tay/shindig/kegger/hootenany/mixer/rave/box social.  Marge says no but when did that ever stop Homer Jay?  And what’s the best place to have a party??? A yacht because anything goes in international waters.

It’s “the wildest box social the high seas has ever seen.” Moe tames a lion, err, drunks trying to get beer as they head to “the land that law forgot” aka international waters.

Lots of wild stuff happens out there including a marriage between man and cow.  Homer’s gang light off fireworks, dance with fighting bulls and “enjoy the simple joys of a monkey knife fight.”

They have fun until the not so friendly pirates arrive. Homer and the gang mae it away when their net actually floats. Strangely Burns forgive Homer for losing the yacht to pirates and mangling Furious George’s face.  And that’s really it for the episode.

Side note: This episode also contains one of my least favorite guest appearances.  The guest’s name rhymes with Flitney Rears.  Like the rest of Springfield, I don’t clap when I hear her name but will admit I thought she was pretty when I was a teenage boy and she did that song in catholic school clothes on MTV.  (“Don’t give me that kiss of death you black widow.”) Remember when music videos were normal on TV?  Anywho… let’s keep going with this origin stuff.

But wait… there’s more.  Burns’ yacht is back in “Sweets and Sour Marge”(S13:E8) at the end. The basic synopsis is that Springfield is declared the World’s Fattest Town (“In your face Milwaukee!”) after trying to build the world’s largest human pyramid. Marge goes all protest crusader as she’s known to do and gets their ever-Motherloving sugar banned.  Homer becomes part of a secret kabal to get sugar back into Springfield.  Somehow Burns got his yacht back from the Hong King pirates and they use it for the mission to the Island of San Glucose. The pirates must have done something to the radio antennae though.

Long story short… sugar returns to Springfield, it is unbanned and all is well.  That’s it for this origin post.  What do you think of Gone Fission? Did you buy it? Love sugar? Sound off in the comments and happy tapa-tapa-tapping in the free world.

  5. The Mansion Family is a great episode! Love when Burns is at the Doctor and he is told he is the sickest man on earth. He even has a little bit of hysterical pregnancy.

Also great when the Coast Guard starts “playing” music through the megaphone. “Come on, Bart! The Coast Guard’s covering the “Doo”! A do-do-do-do-do A do-do-do-do-do, A do-do-do-do-do A do-do!!!”

  6. That does it, I am giving everyone a 24 hour task. that should force EA to start the event 🙂

Oh, thanks for the update. Is that the same episode where The Mayo Clinic decides all of Burns’ maladies are keeping each other in check?

  7. Eesh, this is why I pretty much stopped watching anything after season 10.

  8. H E double hockey stick NO!!! Save em 4 Chrismas update… Enjoyed the post though!

  9. EA’s TSTO page teases making snowman…..but yet there isn’t an update. No idea what the tease was for unless they plan on releasing the event sometime today or tomorrow for sure. I don’t think they’d tease snow and snowman like that without giving us anything the same day or at least the day after.
